  • This KiKi is Marv!

If you wanna have a wonderful KiKi… Scissor Sisters is your choice!

  • by SFSleepyhead on 6/19/12Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

They put on awesome show, but it was way too short! The opening act Rye Rye was terrible.

  • This kiki was marvelous.

by KyraFlore on 6/19/12Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 3 out of 5

Once again the Sisters rocked my world. Great performance and amazing light show however the sound was entitely off. I imagine it could be either the venue (Oakland's Fox Theatre) or the tech guys but I could not hear the singers at all at times. The music overpowered their voices and left me feeling unsatisfied at the end of the show. I saw the Scissor Sisters in Philadelhia two years ago and this was not the case. Amazing band but poor tech forced me to give this show only three stars.

  • Skip the Opener...

by ElderChristopher on 6/19/12Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 4 out of 5

Scissor was great - lot of energy and talent on display. Very solid set. And I love the venue, though the sound is pretty muddy. The opener Nye Nye was just awful - as Triumph the Insult Dog would say, they're like Nicki Minaj without the everything.

Scissor Sisters + the Fox = AWESOMENESS PERSONIFIED!!!!!!!!!!

  • Non-stop party

by handerst on 6/19/12Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

The band was adorable. The music was great. The show seemed short, but maybe it's just that it was good and went by quickly. My ears rang for quite awhile after I left — not sure if that's a good or a bad thing. Bummed we saw them on Sunday night, but will make sure to see them when we can keep the party going.

  • Scissors Sisters

    by Circa45 on 6/19/12Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 4 out of 5

The DJ was great, Rye Rye was great, the Scissors Sisters were great. Music and dancing were wonderful. Now, if only we could have seen everything a little bit better from our upstairs seats. How about a large screen, which was already there, to show some close ups of the performers in action. This is pretty normal at many concerts these days. Sound was also distorted and had a hard time actually hearing the sung words clearly, but fortunately I knew them already.

  • Ana Matronic is having my baby

by MisterFresh on 6/19/12Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

Scissor Sisters at the Fox on June 17 rocked down the house. I have seen them before, but they have really evolved both as a band and as performers. Jake Shears is adorable, and is now big and buff but still dances like a go-go boy. I love his voice. Del Marquis is hot and gives very good and tasty guitar licks. Babydaddy and Paddyboom do their thing very well, and very modestly. But this show belonged to Ana Matronic ... she was TOP SHELF and I go to a lot of acts. Brava and a eat a big plate of patatas bravas, sister girl. Rye Rye was good for their opener, and her track "Sunshine" with M.I.A. should be a top 40 hit. Oh, and the dj between acts was FANTASTIC. Overall, I loved it. Thank you.

Starting 9:10pm in Rams Head the Show was great. The guy changed his costumes 3-4 times, the women 2 times. I liked the interaction with the audience. The songs were performed pretty good. Only after 1 hr they started to say good-bye and by 10:45 they left the stage. They could've played longer.

  • Scissor Sisters Sizzling

by GPrince on 5/7/11Fox Theater - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

The Scissor Sisters blew the lid off of the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA. Their stage presence and performance matches their music brilliantly! Playing a large collection of hits and b-side songs they had the audience on their feet the whole time. When they played their encore it felt like 12:01 am on New years Eve! I didn't want the fun to end.

Scissor sisters are the best live performers! Jake shears had the energy of an energizer bunny and ana matronic is the best mc! Must watch!

  • by Anonymous on 4/20/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 3 out of 5

Scissor Sister has such a stage presence, but the sound quality was very bad and sounded distorted. I'm not sure if it was the equipment or what! I saw them at the Warfield 3 years ago and they kicked ass!!

  • Scissor Sisters @ Warfield

    by crackers13 on 4/20/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

Awesome! Great venue. Great sound. Fun atmosphere. Wish they could have played much longer but it was fantastic. Jake puts on a great show.

  • Scissor Sisters were FABULOUS!

    by ldbd74 on 4/19/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

They really put on a good show. Everything was awesome. The energy, the sound, the lights, the connection with the audience. Such a good time. Funny to see the entire theatre saying they don't feel like dancing, and dancing their hearts out!

  • by SFsomaloft on 4/18/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Bend 'em over a barrel good! High energy, sexy performance, most of their top hits.

  • Scissor Sisters were great fun

    by Jrr63 on 4/18/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Great show and great group of fans. Everyone was partying together. Would love to see again. I was surprised how nice the Warfield and staff was. It was my fist time there.

  • Scissor Sisters - Great Dance Party!!!

by gregb on 4/18/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

I've been fortunate to see the Scissor Sisters a number of times in the not too distant past. Their own show at the Fox Theatre in Oakland. Opening for Lady Gaga (Oakland and Sacramento and Los Angeles) ... And now their own show at the Warfield. Obviously they are able to present many more if their danceable hit songs when they headline. They hit the stage fast and furious and played for an hour and a half. Jake bouncing his muscular frame all over the stage and Anna with her witty in-between song banter. The show was great!! They didn't compromise anything even though they were going to have to get to Coachella for a next day show. Only personal grumble is that I wish they started at 9pm (not 10pm). This isn't NYC!!

  • Couldn't sit down!

by Pretirement on 4/18/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Superb show with excellent singers and musicians. Enjoyed the high level of energy with only one small criticism - maybe I'm getting older, but the sound level was so great that the song lyrics were inaudible. Besides that, totally enjoyable concert.

  • AMAZING!

by RandallSS on 4/18/11The Warfield - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the most AMAZING shows I've been to in a long time! Scissor Sisters are not to be missed!
