  • Scissor Sisters were HOT HOT HOT!

    by Bradio on 7/8/12Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Figuratively and most definitely literally. The A/C at Terminal 5 appeared to be not working. It was the hottest I've ever been in my life. I soaked through my shirt completely. That aside, the band were as great as I've ever seen them (like 10 times). They gave their all despite the incredibly searing temperatures!!

  • Cut a rug with Scissor Sisters

    by RobbedbyBanks on 7/8/12Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The Scissor Sisters were amazing at Terminal 5 on Friday. They were clearly loving playing their home town and the energy in the room was palpable. It's hard to pick a favorite moment with so many great new songs and classics played, but the surprise appearance of Kiki DuRane (aka Mx Justin Bond) was an unexpected and special treat. Anna Mantronic really showed the female energy of the Sisters is crucial and she made sure everyone had a great time. Props to Rye Rye for a great open. She and her dancers were on point on she spit those lyrics with rapid fire accuracy and a smile from ear to ear.

  • never disappoint

This was my third Scissor Sisters show and they're by far the most fun to see live! They love what they do and the music is a riot. Love them!

  • Scissor Sisters - Just OK

    by A4thTimer on 7/7/12The Electric Factory - PhiladelphiaRating: 2 out of 5

This was my fourth time seeing Scissor Sisters perform at the Electric Factory. Maybe it was the less than energetic crowd, or maybe it was the setlist (couple of up tempo songs followed by a slow song), but there was a serious lack of energy at this concert. I was really looking forward to this concert and I left a bit disappointed. The show was nowhere near as enjoyable as the show 2 years ago. I put half the blame on the lame Philly crowd and the other half on the uninspiring setlist. Maybe next time...

Scissor Sisters gave an energy filled concert. They were fantastic. Can't wait to see them again.

  • Scissor Sisters rock.

by Playboyjudas on 7/7/12The Electric Factory - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

This was probably my 9th Scissor Sisters concert. Every single show I've been to has had an amazing energy. The band just totally rocks the stage. The crowd is usually pretty diverse and generally friendly. Always a fun time! Always.

  • Scissor Sisters... Meh save your money

by Anonymous on 6/27/12Commodore Ballroom - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5

I have been to a fair amount of shows at the Commodore and it has to be one of my favorite venues in Vancouver for sound/space. However, the sound was absolutely horrible for this show!! No matter where I stood in the venue the sound did not get any better. Lots of mic feedback and distortion. The performance itself was mediocre at best. They record way better than they perform live (new album in my opinion sucks).. I think someone else said it best in a past review that "they are a good karaoke band."

  • Scissor Sisters rocked!

by eastbayjerry on 6/20/12Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

The Scissor Sisters were GREAT! The Scissor Sisters did an incredible performance and had the house dancing. The predominantly gay audience was great to see in Oakland. The theater is stunning and shines all by itself. BUT the sound quality was lousy because some idiot turned up the sound system all the way so the speakers were completely saturated distorting the sound into a rumble of distortion. Lyrics became unintelligible. High notes went unheard, singers were drowned out. You can hear the rumble on videos of the event posted on you tube. I'd prefer a crisp clean sound even if it means turning down the volume. Or get better/more speakers that aren't turned up so they distort.

BEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. Seriously. Not exaggerating. Scissor Sisters are the best live act I have ever seen and I cannot WAIT to see them again. If I could swing it $$$-wise, I would follow them around on tour.

  • by Ethankiki on 6/19/12Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

The best Kiki I have ever been to. I love scissor sisters. I live scissor sisters. I am scissor sisters

  • Scissor sisters brought it!!

by Jairia on 6/19/12Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

I really enjoyed their concert, especially how they incorporated sings from their previous albums. I was also happy they played 'The Skins', I haven't seen them perform that song in person before, and all the coriographed hand routines with the back up singers was freakin awesum and way entertaining. The only thing that I would have changed was the opening band, Rye Rye. I just didn't see how she fit in well with the mojo that scissor sisters have. She's a rapper and you can hardly understand her. It was my least favorite opening act for them. You couldn't even dance to her. In the end , I would do it all again. Great fun fantastic energetic show. Love the scissor susyers

  • AMAZING

by Anonymous on 6/19/12Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

it was awesome. The songs they chose were great...although i wish they had performed "somewhere" from their newest album. The Matronics got more stage time which was lots of fun and there was more choreographer dancing to the songs which was lots of fun. They also made better use of background visuals this time. LOVED IT!!!!

  • SCISSOR SISTERS - MAGIC HOUR (and-a-half) at FOX

by gregb on 6/19/12Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

The Scissor Sisters new CD is full of great new songs and they together with some old were on display at the Fox Theater on Sunday night. The Fox was packed with fans of the band and they left energized after the one and one half hour set. Jake Shears was born to entertain and he dances and sings and moves about seemingly having as much fun as the audience. Ana looks and sounds beautiful and dishes up some funny banter. Scissor Sisters continue to be one of the most enjoyable acts in show business Only downside to show is the opening acts, which are not necessary. Starting the show at 9 or 9:30 pm with no openers would have made for a better evening.

  • Scissor Sisters Are The BEST

by fuzzyruss on 6/19/12Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

This is the fourth time I've seen them live and every time they have been incredible. The energy, the intimacy, the FUN is always there. They keep getting better. LOVE LOVE LOVE them.

  • by Anonymous on 6/19/12Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 5 out of 5

Scissor Sisters were completely entertaining, played a good mix of their old and new, had a great rapport with their audience, and provided a fabulous night out!

  • Scissor Sisters a bit of a let down

by AJBuck on 6/19/12Fox Theater - Oakland - OaklandRating: 3 out of 5

Well my fourth.time for a Scissor Sister's concert. Love the Fox theatre, but what happened to the sound and great acoustics? The band...just didn't seem to be in the zone? Or is it me? Some pitch issues especially on the falsetto For some reason there just didn't seem to be flow Still love em though! Just costs so much to travel, hotel, dinner concert etc. expectations are high
