  • Scissor Sisters sizzle

Great show! Exuberant energy - Almost needed a bigger stage! Pre - show was a little strange, though.

  • Scissor Sisters Disappoint

    by DanN77 on 8/22/10Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 1 out of 5

Went to the opening night of the North American leg of the SS concert. I've tried to like this band, I saw them a few years ago when they were at the Tabernacle, and all I can say is that each song sounds the same from the last. Sure, they have a couple of good songs, but really, how much screeching in falsetto can you take from prima donna Jake Shears and professional hag Ana Matronic? They seem more intent on showing off how "cool" they are by acting aloof than by actually writing decent music. Their show ultimately became an excuse to hang out by the bar with my friends by the lobby of the Buckhead Theater as we planned the next bands that we are going to see. I won't be seeing this band again, they are way too full of themselves and their music doesn't live up to their attitude. Also, I'm not sure what cheap speaker/projection systems the SS are using, but everything sounded distorted and at times was difficult to make out the songs. Listen, SS: I know you all are not so big in the US, but use some of the money that you earn in Europe and get a decent sound system. From the sounds of last night, a garage band spent more on the quality of their sound.

  • Scissor Sisters best concert quite possibly ever

by cupcakesryum on 8/22/10Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Great way to start off the tour. Amazing show all around.

  • by Anonymous on 8/22/10Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show! The venue, band, sound quality and crowd were fantastic. Scissor Sisters dominated the stage w/ a high energy performance and looked like they were having as much fun as the crowd!

  • Scissor Sisters was terrific!

    by Stevo55 on 8/22/10Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was the first U.S. tour stop and did not disappoint! The sisters played all the best songs from their three CD's. If you're a sisters fan or just enjoy great music to dance to, this is the concert for you. One minor improvement would be the acoustics in Buckhead theater. Jake Shears and Anna Matronic's voices were at times overpowered by the music. I'm sure the sound crew can adjust the sound levels for future concerts in the tour. Having said that, it was a great concert that we've been waiting for for three years! After staying out until all hours last night...No Sir, No Dancin' Today!! I hope they play in Atlanta again soon! We'll be there!

  • Hot in Hotlanta!

    by JJJ44136 on 8/22/10Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert. General admission was cool but a bit "mob" like at times. Scissor sisters were amazing. The only thing better would have been if they performed in Cleveland (our hometown).

  • Too Loud

    by jjatl3 on 8/22/10Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

Love the group. Love their music. They were WAY too loud. Could not hear lyrics or enjoy the show. Lots of people all saying the same thing but they wouldn't do anything about it. Very disappointing.

One of the best live concerts ever. You could really tell they enjoy what they are doing. Never seen so much talent and energy on stage!!

  • Scissor Sisters Amazing!

The Buckhead Theatre was an amazing venue, the upgrades they have done really awesome, the beer and liquor sales all conveinent. The Scissor Sisters themselves were absolutely amazing, really great show, high energy, comical, great music.

  • Sisters rock!

by Spazio on 3/19/10Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORKRating: 5 out of 5

The Scissor Sisters were amazing- Jake's voice and Anna's stage presence make for great chemistry on stage. The NYC crowd was meh. Not enough dancers in the crowd. THe Sisters should really bring their show to San Francisco. And they should really play two sets.

  • The Scissor Sisters have out done themselves!

by UNKLDUG on 3/19/10Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORKRating: 5 out of 5

Their new material is rockin' hot! I'm just getting my hearing back. The Sisters rocked the Ballroom like nobody has ever done before. I cannot wait for the albums release. The show combined their new material with a few hits from previous releases. It encompased the true artists that they are. I'm only hopeful that a US/worldwide tour is forthcoming. These guys are just getting started! Rock-On SS...

  • Great venue, greater band

by lumas on 3/19/10Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORKRating: 5 out of 5

Bowery Ballroom is this band's favorite venue for more than one reason. The intimate setting is perfect for a better interaction with the band, and the sound system has improved greatly since the last time I was there. Sight is not an issue unless you are very short, in which case you have the option of using the balcony for a stage-wide view. Scissor Sisters were amazing as always, presented us a set loaded with new material that kept the party going all night.

Amazing show! It was high energy from beginning to end. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.
