SCHOOL OF ROCK is a New York Times Critics’ Pick and “AN INSPIRING JOLT OF ENERGY, JOY AND MAD SKILLZ!” (Entertainment Weekly). Based on the hit film, this hilarious new musical follows Dewey Finn, a wannabe rock star posing as a substitute teacher who turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. This high-octane smash features 14 new songs from ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER, all the original songs from the movie and musical theater’s first-ever kids rock band playing their instruments live on stage. Vanity Fair raves, “FISTS OF ALL AGES SHALL BE PUMPING!”
Families favorite movie enjoyed in a musical! So great! Only negative we’re our seats. Thought they’d be better.
I loved the story, the music and the child actors/musicians. It was so good!
Great show for all ages! Take your kids! Make a memory
We all loved the show. It was so entertaining. The children were so talented.
What a fun energetic play. My granddaughter and I truly enjoyed the talented cast along with their musical performances. We were very happy we had the opportunity to see this production. The school of Rock, rocks!
School of Rock was entertaining and inspiring because of the young and talented performers, but the theater experience was lacking. Multiple show interruptions to seat late theater goers (even though there were lots of empty seats in the back two rows), ushers with bright flashlights up and down the aisles during quiet scenes, ushers loudly snacking throughout the show, audience cell phone disruptions— just too much to endure during an expensive theater experience.
Great Show! The cast was absolutely amazing and did a fabulous job!!! Two Thumbs up!!!
The children were wonderful. So talented and a pure delight to watch. Highly recommend for all ages
Kids and lead were great. Music was just so so. Don’t think I’d recommend.
The show started a little slow, but, boy did that change!! What a talented group of kids!! Loved it!!
School of Rock is an entertaining evening of music and energy. The children are so talented and did amazing job of playing the instruments.
Quite possibly the worst musical of this millennium. Mostly mediocre performances from the adults and most of the kids went in and out of tune. I could tolerate some of that if the lyrics and music weren't so bad.
I wish I had not seen the original movie before experiencing this show because Jack Black just has no equal. The kids in this adaptation really steal the show with their amazing talent. It is a fun night at the theater, and the last scene leaves you feeling like you were also cast in the show. Definitely see this show!
A super fun show that will get you smiling/cheering!!! Could not have enjoyed more...Would absolutely see again!!
Great music, wonderful cast! It was a great show, perfect for families to enjoy!
Loved the Movie? 14 yeas later this new musical nails it from start to finish! The kid’s performance and new ALW songs rock!!
The show was absolutely delightful - uplifting. The performers were fantastic, especially the children - such talent. I highly recommend it.
Amazing performances by all!!! High energy, great music, seamless scene changes - wonderful show!!! Foot stomping, hand clapping, get on your feet show!!!
Just an AWESOME show with great talent and great musicians that's a fun night for all ages! I saw the show on Broadway and the National Tour Show of School of Rock is just as strong!
If you're a fan of the movie or a rock fan, it's a great time. Good music, good performances (the lead is an excellent stand-in for Jack Black). Great work with set designs. And the kids play their own instruments live on stage. There might be some language here and there, but all things said, it's a great show to bring kids to.
