San Francisco 49ers History
The San Francisco 49ers were established in 1946 as a member of the All-America Football Conference and later joined the NFL in 1950 when the leagues merged. Tony Morabito, founder of the San Francisco 49ers, was the sports pioneer of the West, bringing San Francisco its first major league team in a professional sports business that was dominated by the East Coast.
By 1979, the 49ers had won three NFC West Division Championships, but with the introduction of quarterback Joe Montana, the team quickly began to dominate the NFL. By 1981, the San Francisco 49ers won their first Super Bowl Championship (XVI) and would go on to repeat their Super Bowl Success in 1984 (XIX), 1988 (XXIII), 1989 (XXIV), and again in 1994 (XXIX).
By 2013, the 49ers once again found themselves playing in a Super Bowl Championship (XLVII) against the Baltimore Ravens. With a surprising loss of 31-34, the San Francisco 49ers left the Super Bowl for the first time without a victory. The team would return to the Super Bowl in 2020 and 2024, but fell in both games to the Kansas City Chiefs. The team has produced a number of notable Hall of Fame players throughout its history, including Bob Saint Clair, Jimmy Johnson, Ronnie Lott, Dave Wilcox, Steve Young, Fred Dean, and Jerry Rice, alongside head coach Bill Walsh.

We took the whole family to the game. It was well worth it! The whole team played well and the defense really put their hearts into it. We have had two season tickets in our family for around 30 years and the fan pack tickets are great for when we want to bring the whole family along. We will definitely be bringing extra family and friends to more games this year. We drive all the way to San Francisco from Nevada and it's good to be able to get extra tickets at a decent price along with the lunch since we don't get there in time to tailgate.
was awesome stadium and awesome game. Go Niners
Nice, easy, and not too expensive way to see the game.
I have been a 49er fan since the early 80's. I can still remember that awesome Montana, Clark catch. I will never forget it. I remember when my family and I would travel to LA to see the NINERS beat the LA RAMS. This game just proves to me that we are on our way back. This team is rebuilding and gelling now. I LOVE IT!!! I can't wait until next week.
The 49er's won.! Enough said!
The tix were great. Our seats were good. This was a really fun event. We only had one problem: hot dogs sold out. In the beginning of the third quarter we went to get our "free" hot dogs only to discover the vendor was out and that only 1 vendor, on the opposite side of the park, had the particular "free" hot dogs. I spoke with the supervisor who said they could not substitute anything for us. After expressing our disappointment and several words over his walkie-talkie, the supervisor had the attendant give us a super dog in place of the "free" dog. He did mention not to tell anyone else he had done this. That was a little frustrating. I shouldn't have had to fight for a small hot dog. The UR where we were sitting wasn't even full, why would they run out of hot dogs for goodness sake?
after a few tailgate beers, we went into an amazing old stadium, had great seats and watched a great game! San Francisco is the best week-end getaway and the game made it that much better.
Even though the tickets were almost the last row in the stadium they were still good seats. They don't look like ants on the field. Also the sun is not on you the whole game. You are in the shade. It does make it rather cold though. The only negative thing is being around a lot of visitors. We were in the UR in section 15. So there was a fight either go two sections to the left or just one over to the right.
Fans fighting in the stands throughout the game. Seemed to be from drunkeness. Great weather. Enjoyed watching the game.
It was a great game, a wonderful experience. I went with 2 other friends of mine from Argentina and had a great time. I totally recommend this to everyone that loves sports!
nice stadium but parking was a disaster and restrooms get real full at halftime expect a big crowded concession area and at restrooms. whish there was more room to move around at halftime.
I'm a first time NFL attendee: I'm from Hawaii. Public transportation to stadium was outstanding. Walking through the parking lot was eventful seeing the many die-hard 49er's fans tailgating. The drum core walked through creating excitement! Stadium personnel controlled crowd movement execellently! The only drawback was that being a visitor I could not get a beer outside the stadium!
Good game, stadium is old, parking is odd, but due able. Best bet is to use public transporation.
Overall, a great time with my son. The team is much improved, and that makes the experience worthwhile, since I fly in from Chicago for the games. The upper level is way too congested if you are trying to get to concessions or bathrooms. Don't know if that can be fixed in a way-out-of-date stadium.
This was my first time visiting your city and stadium. Getting my tickets were easy and very informative. The online view of your stadium was exceptional. To my amazement and appreciation, we were seated in a section that was the only section that had shade. Your staff was very friendly and helpful. Your fans were very polite and energetic. This was a very special because i met this wonderful lady who was a 49ers fan and i flew up for the weekend to meet her. She was very impressed with the seating and the view. To have such a wonderful time with her was very special.
After years of hope for a rebirth, the Singletary era is here and I am excited. The impressive, tough, fast, smack you in the mouth, Niner D led by Patrick Willis and Nate Clements is made in Coach Singletary's image, and every NFL team better take notice. It is a thing of beauty to watch men come together as a family and support each other in every way on the playing field. What pride. And the offense is steady and proved yesterday that they are opportunistic. Oh yeah, Frank Gore! Go see the Niners and enjoy the show.
The niner came on top with with of the most amazing offense and defensive plays/ It was fun.
I bought 2 tickets in the lower reserved section 13 row 18. These seats were not worth the $90.00 a piece price that ticketmaster charged not including the "add on" charges to go through ticket master. I would not pay that much to go see the 49ers again in those seats. You didn't even have a clear viewing of the big screen. I have had better seats for cheaper at college games and other pro games. No I am not a seahawks fan.
The game was amazing!!! and the seats were great. The only draw backs were the following. 1) Crowds The game was sold out which meant that there were 64000 screaming insane niner fans out there. 2) The number of lines required to get in the game. There was a line to park, a line to pee, a line to be frisked (no the president wasn't there) and a line to pick up tickets. We left for the game at 9:30 (The game started at 1:05) By the time we got through all the lines and security it was nearly 1:45. Bottom line if you enjoy going to live football games plan on getting there at 9:30 if you have any desire to see the opening kickoff. Personally I think I'll stick to watching it on T.V.
