San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Carnival Tickets

We parked in the blue lot and rode the shuttle to the Rodeo, when we were ready to leave so many people were leaving and the shuttle area had no lines just a big crowd of people shoving in breaking in front of people that were already there. They need to have barriers to direct a line and security there to make sure it goes smoothly. The rest of the stock show and carnival was great. San Antonio is our favorite rodeo, we prefer this one over Houston and the kids love it

It was a fun day but everything was so expensive, ie a turkey leg $25 carnival rides and games were ridiculously priced, even if you bought a wristband the time or day made that price go up also. I used to think the main purpose of the livestock show was for students who spent their time caring for their animals to earn some cash and or recognition for their hard work, but after seeing these kids living in the barns to hope for the win, if they bought food and drinks on the grounds all week they would all need to have the grand champion. It must be difficult for families to go to enjoy the wonderful rodeo grounds without taking out a loan not to mention they better walk $20 for parking really?
