Good seats cost of tickets good great performance
What a night!! Sammy was amazing and so still has it!! He was so personable to his crowd, and an absolute joy to watch, listen to, and sing along with!! One of only a few "true" country artists left out there, and he's so proud to be such!! I haven't had that much fun at a country concert for quite awhile, and we attend as many as we can....if they're "true country"! He's a true classic that we would be so willing to go watch every Friday night at the Avalon!! Thank you, Sammy!! You were so awesome!! Bring him back....bring him back!!
Everyone is very friendly. It was nice to see a security service present. Thank you for a great evening.
He has always been a favorite & getting to see him in person made it more so. The woman that opened for him had a great voice but her difficulties with her guitar was unfortunate!
Sammy was very kind to the audience and played all of his greatest hits ...very good concert ....
He still sounds great and was putting an all-out effort because he was battling bronchitis and was not used to the elevation. He used his bottle of oxygen spray very often but when it was time to sing he was fantastic. He talked between songs and was very entertaining. I truly enjoyed his show!!!! He is a real COUNTRY singer. I believe the Avalon just needs to have the main entertainer and not have an act before. I felt sorry for the poor girl before him. She couldn't even tune her guitar - she had a great voice but was very frustrating to watch her not be able to tune her guitar between songs -- forget the first act and bring on what we came to see!!!!!
Sammy really connected with the audience in this smaller venue.
Great show. Still has a great voice and good entertainer.
The headliner was great. Sammy Kershaw was sick, but still came and sounded exactly like he does on the radio! It looked so natural and effortless for him.
It was a small venue, which i love. The set up was great. There were no bad seats. Sammy Kershaw was amazing. He sings his songs the way we all love them. I have seen artists that change their style after so many years, but Sammy definately kept to his original style. I couldn't have asked for a better show.
High energy. All smiles. Audience interaction. Did an excellent job on his songs, and even sang some from other artists.....What a Wonderful World a ccapella. Incredible!!! Merle's "A Place to Fall Apart. Outsstanding! When he sang the greatest country song ever by George Jones, it gave me goose bumps. If you listen with eyes closed, you'd swear it was George.Unbelievable!! Sammy is a wonderful singer and a kind and caring guy who appreciates his fans. If you have not had the opportunity to see him, you should. You will not be disappointed.
Sammy Kershaw did not let anyone down! Awesome experience and one of the best shows I have seen.
This was great for my wife and myself we had a great time
Sammy’s show was awesome! He was personable, funny, and voice was as great as ever. He sang all his hits and encouraged fans to sing along. It was really a fantastic show. Took me back to the first time I saw him in concert when “Cadillac Style” first came out.
The venue was great. We stood next to the rails and danced for two hours. A wonderful night
Ok, so, I’m not sure if 2 stars is really fair... I mean the tickets were $10 bucks so 🤷♀️ for that, maybe I should have rated 3. Anyway, several videos revealed the singing and guitar picking was not really happening and he didn’t really “play” long at all. Aside from that, it was o.k. The venue was cool, I was with great friends and they sold alcohol. All and all the night was fun 😊
Drove down from Hope Hull, Alabama. The casino is right off the interstate with easy access. Had dinner at the buffet and it was excellent. The amphitheater was built with the handicapped in mind. You can get to all seats without any steps. Sammy Kershaw was excellent. A great singer and entertainer.
The Roots and Boots 90's Electric Throwdown was a great show. We saw the same show a couple of years ago and enjoyed it so much that we went again. Even though there are three country stars performing the show leaves you wanting much more. For example Sammy did not sing Southbound, Haunted Heart or Vidalia, just to mention a few. Collin Raye did not sing That Was a River, I Think About you or One Boy, One Girl, again just to mention a few. With three artists you would think that the show could be a full two hours, allowing the audience to hear more of the hits. Aaron Tippin doesn't have as big a library of hit songs but is very entertaining. I would not go to the combined show again but I would go to see Sammy or Collin if they played on their own.
Was a really great show with great music that brought back a lot of memories. Especially enjoyed Aaron Tippin and Collin Raye. All were great but Collin Raye by far should have been the head liner of the show.
