Sam Smith has been captivating audiences with their unique high tenor since first appearing as the vocalist on Disclosure’s 2012 single “Latch.” In 2014, the London-born singer instantly became one of the UK’s greatest pop exports after releasing their first album, In the Lonely Hour, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 album chart and went on to achieve platinum certification five times over in the U.S. The album also earned Smith four Grammys, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year (for the Darkchild remix of “Stay with Me”), as well as Best New Artist. Smith then co-wrote and performed the opening theme “Writing’s on the Wall” for the 2015 James Bond film Spectre, which earned them an Academy Award. In 2023, Smith released their fourth full-length, Gloria, featuring the Grammy-winning Kim Petras duet, “Unholy,” which became the singer’s first No. 1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 — and the first song by an openly non-binary artist and transgender artist, respectively, to reach the chart’s top spot.

This night was unforgettable. Just as I thought he couldn't get any better he proved my wrong. He sounds incredible live, definitely one of the best, if not the best, live performer I've ever heard. He also has a way of making his audience alive with his stage presence. And can't go wrong with his British accent and clear blue eyes! I guess you can say I'm obsessed now.
His voice is just so effortless, it was ridiculous. You could even tell that he was truly grateful to be there. Great performance and even greater performer.
Sam Smith is one of the best new vocalists around, he was an outstanding live performer. The crowd loved him and knew most if not all of his songs, which created a fun atmosphere. My only complaints are that the set was brief, about an hour only (not too surprising given he's a new artist) and that the venue was so crowded I couldn't get as close to the stage as I would have liked, but that's partly my own fault for not arriving earlier.
Best show ever! So glad he finally came to the United States and so happy I was able to get tickets. His show was sold out. The sound and lighting were on point but it took forever for the sound and stage crew to get it together. Diverse group of people at the show. I heard people asking each other how they found out about Sam. A lot of people said when they heard his voice they just had to find out who he was. Same here. I found out about him last year and have been in luv with his voice and falsetto every since.
We chose to watch from the balcony upstairs. However standing at the balcony the sound was muffled and bad. We sat in the bar area and the sound was so much better. Sam Smith sounded great, almost cd quality! Too bad there weren't tvs in the bar so we could also see him on the stage.
He put on a solid show, very few talking breaks, he was so humble, you could see him blushing when people screamed his name. If you think the acoustic songs are amazing, wait until you see him in person. it is 100 times better. Highly recommended!!!
I will never forget this career-defining show. His vocals are unparalleled by anybody else in the industry. His stage presence is charming and professional. Sam Smith will soon be the world's most popular singer, and for good reason.
Hands down, one of the BEST concerts I've seen at Webster Hall. Sam Smith is incredible. I wished he would have repeated his entire set. He was that awesome!
Sam Smith playing in Cambridge, just a few blocks from my office, was a real treat, even if I was old enough to be the parent of nearly everyone there. Sam had a great band, the Sinclair has a terrific sound system, and the staff was polite and cool. Sam is only 21 but has the maturity and poise of an old soul. It was a treat to hang with him after the show and get pictures. His voice must span several octaves, from falsetto to bass. He sang new and old songs and threw in a few surprises. Thoroughly nice guy. I hope fame doesn't go to his head!
The best performer I have ever seen. The pure joy he expresses when we support him was the most sincere emotion I have seen a performer express. Sam smith deserves all the fame and success that comes his way. He made me tuna sub. (what does tuna sub spellbackwards?)
Sam Smith was absolutely amazing!!! The best voice I've ever heard in my life!
He literally is just as good if not BETTER than his recordings. I would absolutely see him again - although, I am sure that tickets will NEVER be $24 dollars in the future. He is definitely someone to look out for.
Incredible stage presence. Amazing voice. Great show.
I was speechless when I left Webster Hall. I already new that he would be phenomenal, but even though I was just amazed by his talent. Awesome stage presence, great connection with audience, and a genuine humbleness that cant be bought for money! I can't wait to see him again, hopefully in Denmark next time where I'm from. Furthermore, the band was extremely tight! Brilliant musicians! If I'm to mention one negative thing, it would be that the sound at Webster Hall isn't as good as one would hope. Thank you Sam Smith. I have been and will be a huge fan for a loooooong time. .
Let's be real. Sam Smith hasn't even released a full album, and he is selling out shows INTERNATIONALLY. It takes some incredible talent to do that, and that's exactly what Sam Smith has. Beyond his incredible voice, he's extremely personable and likable. I go to many concerts and have to say that this has been one of my favorites of all time...and I don't even like Webster Hall :) 2014 will be the year of Sam Smith (in fact, it already has)
We got quite close to the stage and although the show was sold out, we weren't squashed in. A very friendly crowd as well. The sound was good which was important because Sam's voice is amazing.
