Said the Sky in Concert
There's been a noticeable change in Said the Sky's live performances. You could feel it in the air at the dinosaur-themed 2018 Lost Lands Festival in Ohio. Said the Sky's melodic electronica was on full display, from atmospheric set opener "Never Gone" into a remix of Marshmello and Selena Gomez's "Wolves" on a stage flanked by a brontosaurus and two velociraptors.
But the difference wasn't just the dinosaurs, because the same new energy was fluttering through two sold-out nights at the Berkeley, California, venue Cornerstone later in the year. Said the Sky mastermind Trevor Christensen and his dreadlocked touring synth drummer, Day Gatsby, bounced in perfect unison with the 600-person capacity crowd.
This music was performed 100 percent live. Leaving the DJ sets behind is a commitment Christensen made as his project's star began to rise.
"I never want to go back. I'm sure I'll still play some DJ sets and they're fun in the right setting, but there's so much difference in the two performances and the live set is just so much more fun," he told Relentless Beats.
Said the Sky Background
Twenty-five-year-old Trevor Christensen grew up in Colorado and played piano since he was 8 years old. When he took an electronic music and production course in high school, he gravitated toward EDM and programs like Logic Pro and Ableton. At the Berklee College of Music, Christensen paired his passion with classical training and created Said the Sky.
He released the debut EP Faith in 2014 and has been nothing short of prolific since, featuring on a slew of singles by Illenium and releasing his first full-length album, Wide-Eyed, in 2018. Collaborating with the soaring Illenium has been a constant for Said the Sky, as the pair share a similar pop sensibility within their atmospheric trap-infused EDM. Their track "Rush Over Me," which also featured producer Seven Lions, peaked at No. 50 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic chart and No. 35 on the Digital Dance/Electronic chart.

100/10 best show ever omg omg omg omg omg Omg lol holy
Never listened to Said the Sky before, and had an amazing time! Would definitely see again!
The individuals who opened and were before SaidTheSky (notably JVNA) made the whole event extremely enjoyable and full of energy. SaidTheSky took it to the next level though!
The lineup was *chefs kiss*. I was blown away by the djs, some who I have never heard of before. The talent that filled the room really made the experience incredible. It was really great to see a room full of people all there because they love music. Shoutout to the headliner, said the sky. He was even better in person. 10/10
Really boring and short and boring Short and boring really bad My English no good but short and boring How short how boring
This show was lacking in all departments. He had the openers in his new album and never played with them. There were no lights and the set ended abruptly with no warning, earlier than most shows at bill graham. I wasn’t a fan of Said the Sky but this new album was amazing, and unfortunately I will not be attending another one of his shows in the future.
Said the Sky was awesome!! The crowd was amazing. So much love from everyone who came out that night.
show end 11:30 pm while main artier only play 1hr.
was supes excited to see said, but i felt like there wasn't any effort put into the production of the event. the lights, visuals, set list & the fact that thete were no lasers rly disappointed me since bill graham is such an awesome venue ): & event ended way too early ???
Was tough when the parking lot got full but I guess I did get a little late but overall was a great experience and the only bad part was that it ended a lil earlier than I thought it would
The tour was expected from us alot. My friend and I were trying to go early to catch every moment that Said The Sky teams set up and give to the audiences the best performance. However, i feel like the tour works well with only OliverTheKid , MidnightKid, Trivecta …Yes. We thought SaidTheSky would bring new soul to intro the album, but it seems like …. Nothing special… I am his fan for a long time until now, I was asking my friends and introduced to them about SaidTheSky tour, we paid almost $60 for the tickets , and we received an end show at 11:30…. We even stayed in the front line and really excited to buy merchs and support him. BillGraham was crowded, and lot of people came at that night, did not get enough enjoy look like Crush that he played in 2021 ? We feel like SaidTheSky doesn’t like San Francisco fan ? I feel so sorry to say that but if next time his tour will start in Bill Graham again, I wont go.
Trevor was absolutely amazing. He played at Das Energi 2019 and he absolutely blew me away!! SO VIBRANT ✨💕
This is by far the best sets that I have ever seen from STS. Having the live vocalists, strings, piano, and drum line added so much depth and volume to the concert. Trevor turned this sad boi into a super hype sad boi
Ive seen various live sets, my first was Odesza, and Illenium after, this is my 3rd, and Said the sky absolutely crushed.
Long opening (3 hours), but a really good show! The venue was quite small and dirty though.
