    The Rivercats are the best!!!

    by Eweez333 on 7/6/09Raley Field - Sacramento

It's always a pleasure to attend games at Raley Field, regardless of whether the Cats win. They're a team, year in and year out that just does not quit! My family and friends always feel very welcomed at the ballpark. Guest services are particularly good, especially compared to most Big League venues. My only suggestion is that I would like to see a type of Food Court directory so that we can find our way to the fish taco stand and some of the other non-traditional baseball game fare.

    Great bay area baseball

    by Bubba28 on 7/5/09Raley Field - Sacramento

First, the Food was Hot and ready, the vendors were polite and fast. Second, the field was in great shape, and the grounds crew was attentive and out of sight except when a full court press was needed for dragging in the fifth inning. Third, the food areas were very clean with crews maintaining trash pick up at all times. Fourth, all the employees were polite no matter where you went, including the entrance staff while checking bags. Fifth, I can't wait to go again.

    Raley Field

by Ramros on 7/5/09Raley Field - Sacramento

Many food stands all around, you never get hungry. Bring cash money, most only receive cash. Somewhat expensive food, $5 for lemonade or soda.

    The Game was Fun.

    by Dani23 on 7/5/09Raley Field - Sacramento

I had a lot of fun at the game on Friday night. They were playing my team the Fresno Grizzlies so I had to go. I went with my Dad and Little Brother. We got sits behind the visitors dugout and when we got there we went down for Autographs. I got to see and take a picture with my favorite player and he even gave my little brother a bat at the end of the game. It was great. They also had fireworks at the end which were great!! My family had a great time and cant wait for the grizzlies to come back to town!!

by Omifranco on 7/4/09Raley Field - Sacramento

We choose to spend our 15th anniversary at the game. The game was exciting, the fireworks were awesome, the staff was so professional! We've had a great time at every game we've attended. We will continue to attend the River Cats games. PS--they've won every time we've been there!

Apple pie hot dogs and baseball

by knoxman on 7/4/09Raley Field - Sacramento

So it's July 3rd, no home game on the 4th. We (on a first date) start with hotdogs and a cold cup of beer. We are on the sunny side of the field and "bag" the waning rays of sun. It's not too hot, and not too cold. The stadium is clean well designed, the seats are easy to find and there isn't a bad seat in the "house". Everyone was friendly, even though I knew no one. We had the opportunity to watch the home team play a good game and win, few mental errors and even fewer physical errors. (I'm a High School Baseball Coach, so at least I'd like to think I know something about the game) How could that be topped, other than with a first kiss, and the fireworks following the game, to celebrate freedom. What better way to spend the day, it's "all-American" So maybe I didn't get the apple pie but the kiss had to have been just as sweet!!!!

    Game was amazing!

    by kelawrence2000 on 7/4/09Raley Field - Sacramento

We decided that it was time to go see a game (weekend without kids) and we went on line to Ticketmasters and found these amazing tickets (Section C, Row 1, Seats 5 &6). We were right behind the catcher and the entire game was in hands reach. The game was amazing and we had so much fun, that we are going to go again.

    Great Baseball! Too much audio!

by Coop on 7/4/09Raley Field - Sacramento

The RiverCats did an excellent job entertaining the baseball fan with a victory and their play on the field. From the managing of the players to men on base, DeFrancisco (sp) handled the team like a Major League Manager. The only Minor League aspect of the game was the constant unnecessary desire to have the organ, music, snippets of audio between EVERY PITCH. Let the ballgame tell the story. Do we all need that extra entertainment? If the ballclub is winning, the fans are entertained or at least should be. If they're not, so be it. It was to the point of annoyance. Maybe there's a night where they five the audio engineer a night off. I'll attend that game.

    Nice Win - Beautiful Fireworks

    by Tom0151 on 7/4/09Raley Field - Sacramento

We had a great time at the game, even though the people in our row seemed to have problems with their bladders and needed to seek relief at a higher than normal rate, compared to the other rows around us. We were cheering for the River Cats, but there seemed to be a large number of Fresno Grizzlies fans (San Francisco Giants' Farm Team), which was a little bit of a buzz kill. For a holiday weekend, and sell-out, the crowd seemed quieter than I have experienced in the past.

    7-3-09 Rivercats vs. Grizzlies

by Coyote on 7/4/09Raley Field - Sacramento

Excellent match-up between the 1st & 2nd place teams. Lots of faces fresh from "The Show", reflected in the Major League caliber of the sparkling Plays made. Awesome post-game fireworks display. True Americana at its finest. Perfect Birthday Party for the USA. The Rivercat games are THE best entertainment value in the Sacramento & adjoining areas.

River Cats Win 3-1 + Fireworks following

by fyrwalker on 7/4/09Raley Field - Sacramento

This was such a fun evening. The Cats played well, including pitching out of not one, but two bases loaded and no outs for the Grizzlies and won 3-1. The park was so amazingly clean and nice, as always! Then we were treated to a very nice fireworks display! It was truly an amazing night! Thanks River Cats!

    Firworks where wonderful

by Patrick on 7/4/09Raley Field - Sacramento

The firework display was wonderful and the ballgame was exciting however we were not happy with the guest services representive coming down and standing at the bottom of our section and blocking our view for every special activity in between innings. Very frustrating, we thought by sitting down in the second row of the ballpark that our view of the activities would be unabstructive. From now on we will purchase less expressive seats for a unabstructive view.
