About

After the global success of writing and starring in 182 episodes of The Russell Howard Hour (Sky) and Russell Howard's Good News (BBC) combined, plus six stand-up specials, with clips amassing over 1 billion views on social media and selling 1.5 million tickets to his gigs worldwide so far, Russell Howard is back on the road once again with his fourth and biggest world tour to date, Russell Howard Live. Russell Howard Live has already seen him perform runs in the UK, Europe, America, Australia and New Zealand. The tour continues this fall with dates in Canada, followed by a return to Europe and the U.S. for additional performances.

Alongside hosting his hugely popular Wonderbox podcast, Russell recently began co-hosting an all-new original podcast, GoalLess, focused on soccer and The Champions League, with Chris Wittyngham through SmartLess Media: a joint venture between Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett.

In addition to his live tours across the pond, Russell has appeared on a number of late-night shows including The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Conan O'Brien and The Late Late Show with James Corden, plus podcasts including Bertcast, Lovett or Leave it with Jon Lovett and We Might Be Drunk with Mark Normand and Sam Morril.

Russell's previous world tours have seen him perform a record-breaking 10-night run at the Royal Albert Hall, overtaking eight in a row jointly held by Frank Sinatra and Barry Manilow, and play the biggest ever stand-up show in China.

Having seen Russell in the U.K. in front of 1000’s some comics could have gone through the motions in Philly. Small crowd, but he nailed it. Very funny, over ran and had the crowd in stitches. Amazing gig

  • Delivered like Domino's.

Haven't laughed uncontrollably like that in a long time. Russell Howard prepares and delivers a great show!

  • A must see comedian!

Literally, the funniest comedian I have seen all year and I have been to a few big shows this year. I got a full ab workout from laughing so hard. 10/10!

  • Fantastic show

by Mel on 10/10/23Attucks Theatre - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

I loved the show with Russell Howard. He is hilarious! I highly recommend seeing him if you get a chance!! My only complaint about Attucks theater is that the speakers or something was wrong up in the balcony. We couldn’t always hear what was being said clearly.

  • Brilliant!

Russell Howard is the epitome of a professional comedian. I laughed harder at that show than most. And he genuinely gives you your money’s worth. It was like an hour and 45 minutes of non-stop laughs. I pray he comes back because that was outstanding!

  • Hilarious!

Russell Howard is amazing! He brings his British humor and adds the American tidbits he has found here in the states. I particularly like is view of Charlotte, NC. It was great to hear his impressions of the slow Southern drawl. No urgency down there. The Great Dismal Swamp is now on many Bucket Lists! Thank you, Russell!

This was the 4th time I've seen Russell and he never disappoints! I was so happy he finally came to Norfolk VA because the other times I've had to drive to DC and I love that this was closer! I really hope he comes back! He's so witty and silly and will make you laugh non stop!

  • Incredible!!!

by Anne on 10/9/23Warner Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best comedy shows I’ve been to. Entering the venue was so easy, the bathrooms were not crowded the Russell was PHENOMENAL!! One of the most amazing comedians. His improv skills were insane and his set was so thoughtful and hilarious. I’d run to see him again!!!

  • Cobbs in SF

by Dude on 4/25/22Rating: 5 out of 5

The opener was hilarious and I wish I could remember his name. Russell was amazing, and he did a good bit of material. The only positive to Covid was he had more time to write material. Really glad I made to trip for this. The positivity we all need at the moment.

  • Laughed from beginning to end

by Laura on 4/10/22Cobb's Comedy Club - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

What a wonderful treat to be entertained by both Russell's opener and himself. It was clear he was having an equally good time as he went over time by nearly an hour. Raw, authentic story teller that kept us all on in stitches. Can't wait to see him again, soon!

I see at least one comedy show a month. Russell has had my favorite set of any comedian so far. I will never forget pig beat poetry !!!

  • THE BEST NIGHT!!!!

    by Alli B. on 4/7/22Rating: 5 out of 5

My cheeks and stomach ache still from laughing so hard. The opener (Irish/Danish guy) has us rolling from the start. Russell just kept it going to the 100th level. Thank you both so much because it was just what my sister needed.

Such a fun night. Nonstop laughter throughout the entire show. Great comedic timing and well-phrased jokes. 10/10

  • Even better in person

by Kate on 4/1/22Varsity Theater - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Such a great show! Russell is absolutely hilarious and it was a pleasure to finally (after multiple covid reschedulings) see him in person. The opening comedian (Simon Talbot) was a perfect complementary performance. Would definitely see both comedians perform again.

  • Worth the 1,000 Day Wait

by Laila Z on 4/1/22The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely phenomenal show. The opener, Simon Talbot, was a riot. He got so much applause that it confused him, that's gotta say something. As for Russell, man, seeing him live after years of watching his shows on YouTube is a mind-bend. He got us laughing to hard that my cheeks were hurting hours after the show. Plus the mix of life philosophies and current affairs got us thinking while also having a good time. I brought some friends along, one has never heard of him and the others have only seen Russell on Taskmaster. Despite their lack of experience with his work, my friends gave genuine, heartfelt thank yous for the invite to this show. The emotion of the shocked me, but it proves just how fantastic of a comedian Russell is. (That, and the fact he was able to add two more gigs while in Toronto!) Overall, phenomenal show, and I'll gladly buy tickets the next time he's in town.

  • My Face Hurt for Hours

by Alexandra on 3/31/22The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Russell Howard lived up to the expectations I developed over the last 1000 or so days. He was absolutely hilarious and I do not kid you when I say my cheeks were aching from laughter when I exited the theatre.
