Not enough Time With Russell Brand

by JASMBE on 7/26/11Mandalay Bay Resort - Las Vegas

Although I laughed a lot, the show was too short. He should have had an hour and a half show. maybe 45 min with an intermission and then another 45 min.

    HILARIOUS!

by russellsbuggestfan1 on 7/26/11Mandalay Bay Resort - Las Vegas

I travelled cross country to see this show and was NOT disappointed! Starting with NO OPENING ACT because, well, I came to see Russell Brand, and no one else, he was ON from the moment he walked on stage, manic at times, but ON! . Within minutes he was IN THE AUDIENCE (which he did 2 more times) and as someone who was lucky enough to be in the 3rd row, on the aisle, more than a few times the man stood right next to me....making the $500 plane ticket even MORE worth it! It's a pity that he is only doing a handful of shows across the country because more people NEED to see him live. I know he's not really known in the states for being a comedian but he tore it up! As an added bonus after the show he spent about 30 minutes in the lobby greeting his fans, posing for pictures and signing a few things. He is a class act!

    Russell is hilarious and sexy!

by KatieJane1983 on 7/25/11Mandalay Bay Resort - Las Vegas

We truly enjoyed this show! His audience participation was fantastic. We had front row seats and he stood right in front of me and my sister and I am sooo mad I didn't ask for a hug. Lesson learned I guess. He's brilliantly funny and witty. I would recommend his show to anyone that has a sense of humor and that enjoys laughing!!

Not worth the outrageous ticket price

by takeitfromme on 7/24/11Mandalay Bay Resort - Las Vegas

Simply put, this show was mildly entertaining. I guess it was better than sitting in the hotel room all night. But at $75/ticket for the cheap seats(!), I expected MUCH more. The set was largely unscripted, and, well, I'd say 85% was utterly forgettable. Russell (and a portion of his fan base) appears to be content with him just, well, showing up. If you're a superfan, you're going to go anyway, and you'll probably enjoy paying a premium ticket price just to be in the same room as Russell Brand. Casual fans, skip it! You could see MUCH BETTER shows for your dollar, especially in Vegas.

    Rather lazy

by vision4bg on 7/24/11Mandalay Bay Resort - Las Vegas

Russell is a talented comedian who is great at off-the-cuff joke-telling, has a bevy of amusing vignettes he's happy to share, and takes the rather extreme female attention impressively in his stride. What was disappointing was after paying top dollar for this show, having Russell phone it in. He admitted openly at the beginning of the show that he had been unable to prepare material in time, and it showed. Jokes were stretched thin, and he relied on audience participation as filler. He has obvious talent, and kudos for doing a meet-and-greet at the end of the show too, but I walked out disappointed.

    Funny and sexy!

by LisaSnape on 4/22/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Seeing Russell Brand live was a bit surreal! I've seen him in movies, etc. and always found him hilarious. He was very funny live and after the show, he came into the audience to sign autographs and take pictures. He was extremely approachable. I even got a kiss!

    Russell Brand is a brilliant!!!

by WestboroCasey on 4/19/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Russell Brand's stand-up comedy show was hysterical. Unscripted, he flowed elegantly from one insane topic to another with such energy that is was mesmerizing. No one should miss this show.

    Russell Brand is phenomenal!

by LadyBoston on 4/18/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Russell Brand's edgy stand up is by far some of the funniest material I've ever seen. His ability to connect with the audience makes his act that much better. He speaks to the audience in a way that allows them to connect with what he was saying. He's honest and personal with his material, but adds profound knowledge of the world and mind in with the funny. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

    Alittle disappointed

    by Stellablu122 on 4/18/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

I have always enjoyed Russel when he is on the late nite talk shows and the movies he has been in, he is just so clever and witty and his comedic timing is one of the best of the younger gen. Live he was just too blue and I thought it worked against him, although the many "groupies" there seemed to love it, and it seemed forced at times. He had some good bits, like talking about his tweeter stalker and growing up with out a cell phone and the VMA, but he only did an hour, which I thought was not enough. He did stay like 40 minutes after to meet fans but many of us missed out as there were about 400 that waited.

Amazing evening and and a great small intimate venue. Russell was spot on and hilarious all night. Lots of improv stuff , and he kept the crowd on there toes. Jonah hill coming out at the end was a extra bonus. And both were out in the lobby meetin and signing after the show( we took the wrong exit and got let out onto the street instead of the lobby though). Would for sure go see Russell again.

Cheeky with a side of Saucy

by GuillermoDelNoche on 4/18/10Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Russell Brand was an energetic/ enthusiastic performer improvising Brilliant comedy off of a few key points. He was Hilarious and sucks you into his madness for a while and then spits you out with some crass undulating that leaves you in stitches. He was amazing! Great Theater and sound. Drinks were flat and stupid expensive. All in all, Russell made all of that disappear in his charming demeanor.
