About

RUSH took rock music into uncharted territory and to unmatched heights fueled by the once-in-a-lifetime interplay of Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Selling over 45 million albums worldwide, garnering seven Grammy Award nominations, tallying billions of streams, and earning induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pioneering trio’s incalculable influence has spanned generations, attracting one of the most ardent audiences in history. These musicians effectively reimagined and redefined rock without boundaries, striking a balance between elite instrumentation, anthemic vocals, provocative lyricism, and timeless storytelling both sonically and thematically. RUSH notably achieved “the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.” Furthermore, their accolades have included becoming Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996, achieving the Canadian Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 2012, and receiving recognition with both a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The world tragically said goodbye to Peart on January 7, 2020 following his battle with brain cancer. Honoring Peart and the legacy the band had forged together, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. It’s a moment for new listeners to finally experience this music live in all of its glory and another chance for the group’s faithful fanbase to rally again.

True rock concert with album length song and great stage.

  • Rush undoubtedly one of the best.

by Ferndog on 5/21/15American Airlines Center - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

1st time to see Rush and they were a great live band. Great musicianship from this trio. Hopefully they'll be back again.

  • 2nd half was a lot better

    by kshe95fan on 5/21/15Austin360 Amphitheater - AustinRating: 4 out of 5

C'mon guys, play what got you there. Way too many new or unknown songs in the first set. I personally would love hearing a full concert of your classics, especially if this is your 40th anniversary tour Second set and encore were outstanding. Had I not checked your prior setlist I would have left the concert before intermission.

  • RUSH 40. Great show.

Great show. Spot on. I have to write at least this many characters.

  • R40 Retrospective

by LukeSassypants on 5/21/15American Airlines Center - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

So great to see one of my favorites, and a true classic rock band, play many of the songs that made them who they are. Played almost 3 hours with 20 minute intermission, which was very smart on their part as it gave the audience plenty of time to stretch, go to the rest room and then get something before going back to their seats.

  • The truth about Rush

by SiglerJ on 5/21/15American Airlines Center - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

I have seen Rush 10-12 times since the 70's. One thing has never changed - they fill the hall with massive sound, creative stage settings and a great show. With so many songs to choose from their setlist is always a surprise. Sure, I would love to hear just my favorites but a few bars into songs you haven't heard you still find yourself jamming to the tunes and nowadays when you look around you see thousands of geriatric rockers all jamming with smiles on their faces you understand the memories you are all reliving. Two years ago when Rush visited Dallas I thought Geddy Lee's voice had just about given out. This time around it was clear his voice remains strong and although he doesn't try for so many unbelievable notes as he once did, when he went for it he hit it out of the park. I know Neil Peart doesn't like to leave his family to tour but I hope we get to see these guys some more. Someone commented "How do they get so much sound out of three guys?". I don't care what they play - this is the point, they fill the hall with unbelievable sound from each member and you are never disappointed even if they don't play your favorite song. It was a rocking good time for everyone.

  • Great Show.....Venue BLOWS!!!

by ATXSucks on 5/21/15Austin360 Amphitheater - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

No words can accurately describe one of the best bands in the world. RUSH sounded better than ever. Stage was stripped down and minimalized to accentuate the music. Austin360 Ampitheater was extremely disorganized and appeared to be designed by 4 yr olds. Just another horrible outdoor venue with ZERO style or creative insight.

  • What's the Rush

    by T123 on 5/21/15American Airlines Center - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

What happens when you put three of the best musicians in the world on one stage? You get quite a Rush. Two and a half hours of a walk down forty years of memories and great music. Hard to believe three guys can make such a wall of sound. If they're coming to your town you owe it to yourself to check out this show. And take a woman with you. They are sorely in need of female fans.

Thanks for getting rush in STL never thought I would see them.

  • RUSH always exceeds my expectations!

    by Woody2112 on 5/20/15BOK Center - TulsaRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome seeing the first show of the current tour. Even ran into Geddy Lee in the hotel we were staying in before the show. This show represented RUSH's 40 years quite well. GO SEE IT!

  • Loved It!

by RickyMaz on 5/20/15Austin360 Amphitheater - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

Geddy sounded good and they played a good mix of songs from latest to oldest. Can't believe they actually played Lakeside Park from Caress of Steel. Took me back.

  • Nice farewell tour

by VerityBrown on 5/20/15Scottrade Center - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

I had heard that this venue was not the best for music events, and that's kind of true. The vocals were muddy enough that it was hard to make out the words of songs we didn't know well (and there were a lot of those, with 40 years of music for the band to choose from). Still, the concert was an awesome experience. The tech work involved (including laser lights and live camera projections on the screens) was nearly as impressive as the musicians. The only bad thing about this event was the parking, which was difficult to get into (and expensive!), and took even longer to escape from. I think if I went to another event at this venue, I'd find a closer hotel and walk.

  • RUSH is #1

    by JMV9998 on 5/20/15Austin360 Amphitheater - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

100% satisfied Theyvare getting better with age like a fine wine.

  • awesome

by schimke on 5/19/15Xcel Energy Center - Saint PaulRating: 5 out of 5

Have seen them a dozen times and this one was one of the best. I am old school (started listening to them in late 70s), but was glad that most of the new songs they chose were in the style of their roots and great jam sessions.

  • Rush, 40 years and still got it!!

by Anonymous on 5/19/15Austin360 Amphitheater - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

The show was amazing. The arena was great. Seats were further back but still had a good view.

  • Bittersweet

by Headknocker on 5/19/15Austin360 Amphitheater - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

What can I say? The band was in perfect form as always! Sad to think that this may be their last tour although Geddy did finish the show with his usual, "We hope to see you again sometime!" remark instead of any sort of definitive "Farewell" statement. Wish they would have squeezed in a few more classic tunes the first set instead of all the newer tunes but the whole show was basically designed to be played in reverse chronological order of the band's career so I understand why they didn't. (Sure would have loved to hear Limelight, YYZ, Red Barchetta, La Villa Strangiato, etc., only because I love those songs so much..) but I know the guys temporarily retire certain well-worn songs for some tours. The second set however was exactly what the doctor ordered! Really hope they decide to continue to tour.

  • Rush was AMAZING!!!!!

    by Stars41 on 5/19/15Austin360 Amphitheater - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

First time seeing Rush and it was different and amazing. Hopefully it really isn't the last tour. These guys rocked out for almost 3 hours, they played and sounded Great!!!! And they look Awesome.

  • Rush is a must see show!!

by DrummingFreak on 5/19/15Pinnacle Bank Arena - LincolnRating: 5 out of 5

I saw Rush in Lincoln, NE at the Pinnacle Bank Arena on May 10, 2015. The show was incredible from beginning to end! Three 60+ year old men played for 2 -1/2 hours and were unbelievable for each second of it. This was my first time seeing Rush although I have been a fan for 30 years or so and it was worth every penny! The lighting was top notch and the stage show (other than the roadies dressed in red jumpsuits on the stage) was great! My only regret is that I did not spend more on tickets so that I could be closer to the stage!

  • R40

by jdmurph on 5/19/15Austin360 Amphitheater - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

Rush was amazing. The venue was great. Weather was perfect and the evening was really just magical. I saw Rush the 1st time in 1977 and this concert did not disappoint one bit. The band is as sharp as ever and exhibit the standard of musical excellence that is not seen by younger bands today. These guys are all in the 60's and literally kicked butt for over 3 hours.

  • Rush was awesome!!!

Rush put on another awesome show!! Wish they would come back to Oklahoma. I would certainly go again!
