About

RUSH took rock music into uncharted territory and to unmatched heights fueled by the once-in-a-lifetime interplay of Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Selling over 45 million albums worldwide, garnering seven Grammy Award nominations, tallying billions of streams, and earning induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pioneering trio’s incalculable influence has spanned generations, attracting one of the most ardent audiences in history. These musicians effectively reimagined and redefined rock without boundaries, striking a balance between elite instrumentation, anthemic vocals, provocative lyricism, and timeless storytelling both sonically and thematically. RUSH notably achieved “the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.” Furthermore, their accolades have included becoming Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996, achieving the Canadian Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 2012, and receiving recognition with both a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The world tragically said goodbye to Peart on January 7, 2020 following his battle with brain cancer. Honoring Peart and the legacy the band had forged together, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. It’s a moment for new listeners to finally experience this music live in all of its glory and another chance for the group’s faithful fanbase to rally again.

  • Rush was beyond amazing!!!!

by 1001001001 on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

This was my third time seeing Rush at Verizon wireless amphitheater in Alpharetta GA simply amazing every time easy to find and good parking space. The sound there is awesome had a amazing time the rain didn't detour the place from being packed to capacity.

  • A series of fortunate events

by skeeterleg on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

In rare cases events unfold to make a truly magical evening. It rained and thunderstorms soaked the Alpharetta area all day which made for miserable traveling and preparing. Fifteen minutes before the start of the show the skies dried up and even cleared for an hour. Rush came out and seemed very fresh from their day off. The set list was really good and they threw in a few unexpected songs from other set lists which made for an extra special evening.

  • Rush rocked Alpharetta like only they can!

by MysticTrip on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

Rush is still THE power trio of rock. Their showmanship and magical musical prowess were on show once again as they took us on a trip back through the last 40 years of their music. With crowd favorites Jacobs Ladder, Anthem, Roll the Bones, Xanadu, 2112, Limelight and many more they clearly and convincingly assured us all that they are at the pinnacle of their game. Geddy's vocals were clear and precise. Alex shredded through his vast collection of lead guitars effortlessly and Neil put on the show on percussion that he and only he can. One word describes the band on their R40 tour; WOW!

  • Best Rush stageshow yet!

by BigTommyFan on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

Having seen Rush live for many, many years, I would have to say this was their best show yet. After 40 years of being on the road together, there are rumors this might be their last major tour. Rush seemed relaxed on stage like they were just having fun. The sound from the sound system was excellent as always. Rush's live show is the best mixed I've ever attended. Most other bands are horribly mixed with either the vocals sounding like mush or the guitars too loud (or quiet) or the bass drum knocking a hole in your chest. Rush's sound was well balanced. Rush's use of video was great as always. Lots of surprises. The night of the concert there were thunderstorms that had just stopped right before the show started. I was cold and soaked to the bone but it was worth every minute!

  • Incredible

by MarciandSean on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

How can 3 people possibly do that? We have seen them time and time again, and we never cease to be amazed. THE HOLY TRINITY!!!

  • Rush - still incredible after 40 years

by STS77 on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

A great show on a great night, despite the rain. The band continues to put on a great show. The Verizon Ampitheatre, well, they still have problems with Parking and crowd flow, squeezing them through tiny walkways and exits.

  • AMAZING SHOW!!

by Sublama84 on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

I have been a lifelong fan of Rush but had never seen them perform live. Is it possible for a band to get better with age? Yes, Rush was amazing!!

  • RUSH!!! The msasters of performance rock

by Photoman550 on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

Seeing Rush in Atlanta was an absolute high point. Their musical ability is unrivaled, their precision is flawless. The R40 tour is proving to be their best show ever.

  • Goes without saying

by ETSoldHomes on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

Arguably the (3) best musicians at their craft on one stage.

  • Rush never disappoints!!!

by EDawg71 on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

Phenomenal! Throughout the many years, Rush has ALWAYS brought max effort to every show. My first show was on the Presto tour at the Omni in Atlanta and I've made it to at least one show per tour ever since. I truly have to say, these 3 stellar musicians really want to give you all you can get for the price of admission. Don't miss an opportunity if you get one to see this legendary, HOF band before they retire (which seems nearer and nearer). Long live RUSH!!!

  • No Hits!

by LTRushFan on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 2 out of 5

Rush still rocks, but the play list of the R40 tour is really short on hits.

  • A Farewell to Kings?

by eaglesfanintn on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

It's been rumored and hinted at that this is the last tour for the Holy Triumvirate. If that is indeed the case, they're going out on top. The show is fantastic. It's a great selection of songs, a well conceived stage setup and, of course, the boys playing as well as ever.

  • What a Rush!

by WKyFan on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

Great night of music accompanied by lighting and visuals. The set list was outstanding and covered fully forty years of work. Rain nor lightning dampened the spirits of a sold out amphitheater and the trio delivered as always.

  • RUSH was awesome!

by Rush526 on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

They played songs from every era that they have made music in. A complete history of their music. The show was just great.

  • Rush is the best

by Wildcatjack22 on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

I was blown away. This was my fourth time seeing them. (Subdivisions,Power Windows, hold your fire. They are still really good and while Geddy can't get as high as he once could his voice is still really good. They are not your fat rock stars cashing a paycheck. They work hard and it shows. I hope they come back. The place was sold out and it was a blast. The second set opened with Tom Sawyer Red Barchetta and Spirit of Radio. If there are three better concert songs I would not know what they are.

  • by BRG1 on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely perfect show!!! Rush was amazing! They sound like they are 30 years old!

  • Thank you Rush!

by Richfz1 on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

Moving Pictures was my first time to see them. I haven't caught every tour since but most. If this is their last major tour, they are going out on top! Just saw them again last night in Greensboro and more of the same. Have to admit the light show is better indoors. Anyway, I am tired from just watching them last 48 hours. I don't know how they do it! My brother and I agree this is the best concert from any band we have ever seen. They left nothing.

  • Greatest band and best show

by Rushfan76 on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Rush many, MANY times throughout the years, since the 70s and they never cease to amaze me with every show. These guys still out there playing like they were still in their 20s and you never leave the concert's end feeling like something was missing. Loved they played chronologically backwards, which was really cool to hear songs like Hemispheres, Cygnus X1, What You're Doing... Etc... Sold out as usual, but i never expect anything less and these guys provide nothing but perfection!!!!

  • Rush R40 Concert

by Rush15 on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

After 40 years of playing together, they are still the greatest band!!!

  • Great Show!

by BrewDudeBob on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

My first time seeing Rush. They put on a great show and made it fun and entertaining and left me with a smile :)
