RuPaul's Drag Race on Tour
Even beamed into people's living rooms through their TVs, RuPaul's Drag Race is one of the biggest and most fabulous shows on Earth — it was only a matter of time before its cavalcade of queens ended up in Las Vegas. Specifically, they took up residence at the Flamingo, in a room that for more than a decade hosted the Donny & Marie variety show. A far more colorful and extremely ambitious production, RuPaul's Drag Race LIVE! involves big dance numbers, wild wardrobe changes, all-star catwalk crawls, vicious lip-sync battles and, well, a "bitch-slap" competition that calls for audience involvement. The mission is to make fans feel like they're in the middle of an interactive episode taping — a rotating cast of beloved queens previously seen on the show partakes in a series of challenges, performances and face-offs. The crowd determines a winner via the Clap-O-Meter, an outsize applause measurement device made to look like big lips and a giant tongue. The choreography comes from longtime Ru pal Jamal Sims (Step Up, the Oscars, live-action Aladdin) and is set to tunes previously heard on the series (think Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Britney Spears) as well as new original music from RuPaul, producer Leland and Tom Campbell. Meanwhile, the vibrant and often delightfully absurd sets transport viewers to a veritable wonderland of neon sass.
RuPaul's Drag Race in Concert
RuPaul's Drag Race debuted on Logo TV in 2009 and became an instant hit. It didn't hurt that the show's host, mentor and head judge was already the most famous and beloved drag queen the world had ever known, but the series quickly demonstrated its power to captivate audiences of all backgrounds and launch incredibly colorful new stars. By the time it kicked off its 12th season in 2020, the reality competition series had been nominated for 23 Emmys and won nine, not to mention increased awareness and (rabid) appreciation of drag culture, as well as gifted unto the world such truly inspired queens as Trixie Mattel, Bianca Del Rio and Alaska Thunderf*ck 5000. In 2017, RuPaul's Drag Race leapt to VH1 and also off of the screen via the Werq the World tour. That larger-than-life spectacle proved to be a hit, running for years and also paving the way for RuPaul's Drag Race LIVE! in Las Vegas, starring show alumni Yvie Oddly, Aquaria, Asia O'Hara, Derrick Barry, the Pit Crew and many more.
The show was amazing. I would highly recommend to go see them
Very entertaining, Well done, Highly recommended show!
My wife and I traveled to Las Vegas to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary and we wanted to do something special so we’re huge fans of the show so we decided to go see it and it didn’t disappoint! Absolutely loved the entire show and can’t wait to come back again!
If you get the VIP/Meet and greet - don’t slack off and go when doors open. We were not notified or given any information. The LOCATION had no information. I put them on mini blast. I’m like “there HAS to be someone there that knows. The show is in like 7 hours! “ nobody from Voss or RuPaul or the casino gave any information so we got there like 4 hours early. The box office BARELY knew anything. I put this on the organizers and producers. How they don’t inform the location the plans when you have “VIP” tickets is mind blowing. Next. The description says something to the effect of “mingling” with the Queens in a lounge. Grrl no. It was a cattle call and a quick picture. And they only took one picture so good luck if it turned out bad. All in all. Very unhappy experience.
Had an excellent time. Very entertaining, high energy and above all entertaining!!
I think this was the best show I’ve seen yet. But I wish it would’ve had different queens in it.
I was happy the entire time. I immediately came home to see where another show was that wasn't far away so I could see it again. To my disappointment there isn't one that doesn't require a plane ticket. I will definitely go if it comes back around.
This was my second time seeing the show and I LOVED the cast! As always Derrick Barry was superb and look stunning! When Pangina Heals came out I had chills, she was absolutely beautiful and she puts on a show Honty! Nicky Doll was a surprise to me (I didn't know she was there) and she did not disappoint, beautiful and ! LOVED Lawrence Chaney!!!!!! He was amazing!!!!!
This was by far one of the best live performances I have ever seen in my life. It was funny, entertaining, and heartwarming/heartfelt all at once. The cast was iconic and some of the performances literally left my mouth on the floor!
We thoroughly enjoyed this show. So entertaining 10/10! A must watch for sure.
The entire show was high energy and comical. A must see for anyone. Would go again for sure.
This show was amazing! Met all my expectations and then some! Will catch this show everytime I'm in Vegas!
Travelling from NZ, we accidentally booked tickets to what turned out to be the 500th show! Famous drag queens were dotted around the audience and we got lucky enough to have Rupal present as well. Glitz, glamour, entertainment and LOVE! Fabulous. Lawrence Chaney, Kennedy Davenport, Daya Betty, Nicky Doll, Coco Montrese and Derrick Barry showed out! It was a lovely opportunity for a fan of the show to see a tangible moment on stage. Bravo!
This show is the BEST in Las Vegas, this is our 4th time seeing it and we love it. We came to see Lawrance Chaney and didn't realize it was the 500th show! RuPaul showed up and did the intro, it was AWESOME!!!
Super experience! On the day we went there were Lawrence, Alexis, Silky, Nicky, Coco, and Kennedy. I loved Lawrence as the host. The girls and pit crew put on a hell of a great show, super recommended, even if you are not a fan.
I recently went to see RuPauls Drag Race live revue and the queens are outstanding!!! I love Lawrence Chaney hosting the show and how she interacted with the audience and the other queens put on a great show!!!!
We love every season of Ru Paul’s Drag Race, seeing it live did not disappoint! The queens were entertaining, it was great to see how interactive they were with the crowd, and the host really made the show. Highly recommend to anyone old enough to go!
We loved everything about the show! However, several people behind us ruined our good time with their excessive talking, loud (off key) singing, rude comments, etc. Complained several times and nothing was done, which was disappointing as patrons and performers deserve better.
Mama Ru’s girls are amazing I loved the show. I have been a fan of RuPaul’s Drag race since season one. I was so excited to see the show and it didn’t disappoint at all. The girls are beautiful and the pit crew omg! I will be purchasing another ticket again in the future. Thank you 🥰
Very entertaining overall! The selection of Queens was great. Production value was good. Not as good as the other Vegas shows, but if your a fan of RPDR you wont be disappointed. Great improve moments as well.
