An Evening to Remember
by John on 4/30/24Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club - PortsmouthSome women are particular in their tastes and likes. Especially when it comes to food. She had the salmon. The presentation was impressive and apparently the food was even better. She said it was delicious, which means it was damn close to perfect. I had the beef dish and it fell off with the fork. One of the best meals I ever had. Our table was right on the stage and setting of the restaurant was beautiful. She loved the upper level seating idea where people ate at their tables with a view from above the stage and the main floor. Perhaps we will try those next time. Ronnie Earle, my lady and myself were all born in 1953. You can do the math. He’s been one of the best blues guitarists for the last 50 years. He and his band played over 2 hours with no break. The selections and renditions were amazing. Towards the end of the show Ronnie came off the stage and played two or three songs amongst the audience. Everything and everyone at Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club were outstanding. The food, the atmosphere, the entertainment and all the wait staff were top notch. I highly recommend you choose from all the performers who will come to Jimmy’s. You will not be disappointed and you will enjoy an evening to remember.
