About

Comedian Ron "Tater Salad" White first rose to fame as the cigar-smoking, scotch-drinking funnyman from the Blue Collar Comedy Tour phenomenon, but now as a chart-topping Grammy-nominated comedian and a feature film actor, Ron White has established himself as a star in his own right. White has always been a classic storyteller. His stories relay tales from his real life, ranging from growing up in a small town in Texas to sharing stories of his daily life to becoming one of the most successful comedians in America. He has sold over 14 million albums (solo and with the Blue Collar Comedy Tour), been nominated for two Grammys, and has consistently been one of the top grossing stand up comedians on tour in America.

Ron White began performing comedy in 1986 and was quickly opening for legendary comedians Sam Kinison and Jeff Foxworthy. While eventually making the rounds as a comedy club headliner, in 2000, White was asked to join the Blue Collar Comedy Tour alongside Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy. The show toured for over three years to sold-out audiences in over 270 cities and grossed more than $35 million. In 2003, Warner Brothers filmed the show, Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie for a theatrical/TV/DVD/CD release. The film premiered as the most-watched movie in Comedy Central's history. In 2005, the video Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again was filmed and released on TV and DVD/CD.

In November of 2003, White released his breakthrough comedy CD Drunk In Public followed by his first one-hour TV comedy special They Call Me Tater Salad. The special had the highest viewership for a Sunday program in Comedy Central history. The DVD version reached #1 on the Billboard Comedy Chart. White's second one-hour special You Can't Fix Stupid aired on Comedy Central to 4.5 million viewers, making it the third largest audience in Comedy Central's history and the #1 show on primetime basic cable. The CD reached #1 on the Billboard Comedy Charts and remained there for 9 consecutive weeks. This success also earned White his first Grammy nomination. Ron received his second Grammy nod for the show Blue Collar Comedy Tour - One for The Road. In June 2006, Penguin Books released Ron's first book Ron "Tater Salad" White: I Had the Right to Remain Silent...But I Didn't Have the Ability, which landed him on the New York Times Best Seller List. In 2009, Ron released his 3rd album Behavioral Problems, which reached #1 on the Billboard Comedy Chart. In 2013 Ron's 4th album, A Little Unprofessional, also reached #1 on the Billboard Comedy Chart. Never one to rest on his laurels, Ron White partnered with Netflix to release his most recent effort- the highly successful comedy special, "If You'd Quit Listening, I'd Shut Up."

As an actor, Ron White has had supporting roles in the major theatrical films Horrible Bosses and Sex and the City 2. He also had a principal role in Jayne Mansfield's Car (written/directed by Billy Bob Thornton). He was a co-Executive Producer of Bridegroom, a Linda Bloodworth-Thomason documentary, which debuted at the 2013 NYC Tribeca Film Festival and won the Audience Award. In 2016, Ron White's acting talents were showcased alongside Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, and Imogen Poots, in music-industry veteran Cameron Crowe's Showtime series, Roadies. White played road-tested tour manager Phil in a critically praised performance.

Live performances on a comedy stage remain the life-blood of Ron White, and after all these years, the fans still can't get enough. White maintains a rigid touring schedule, and plays to sold out crowds all over the country night after night. The industry also continues to take notice; in 2021, Ron White was nominated as Pollstar's Comedy Touring Artist of the Decade.

Love Ron, but didnt care for the venue

by GITA on 3/19/24Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

Love Ron White. Sadly, he appeared exhausted, and not feeling well. I was disappointed with the room. I purchased front row seating hoping to have a good view. Im petitte, and unfortunately, my eye level was below the floor level of the stage. The front row so close to stage, I had to keep neck bent backwards, so it was very uncomfortable. The seating also uncomfortable. Folding chairs packed in a bit too close for comfort. Felt like a school cafeteria, or true to form, a hotel conference room.I had never been to a show at Talking Stick before. I know better than to buy field or pit tickets given my heights, and now Im finding front rows not always the best. live & learn. It truly depends upon the layout of the venue . I now have great appreciation for the seating at Orphium, and Acrisure Arena where we recently attended some shows. Again, love Ron White, and I hope he takes care of his well being.

    Length of show

by Pat on 3/19/24Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

I really enjoyed the show, however, was very disappointed the show was so short. I expected a longer show for the amount of money I spent on the tickets.

    Excellent Show!

by Becky on 3/19/24Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

Ron did a phenomenal job in his show at Talking Stick Resort in AZ last weekend. He always manages to make it real relating to the audience and striking the right tone to keep the audience enthralled and continuous laughing at the way he tells his story - If you haven't had the opportunity to see him, I'd recommend it but know too nothing is off limits from his comments as he combines what's happening in the world and how he leads his life in a very entertaining manner.

    Another hilarious Ron White show

by Jay B on 3/19/24Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

First time seeing Ron live and was well worth the trip and the price. He is hilarious and somehow even more fun in person. The venue is nice and they had large screens on either side of the stage which given that the room is flat (not designed as a theater), was often an easier way to watch than him on stage. Next time I would either get much closer to the stage or see he at a proper theater.

    Pretty good

by JD on 3/19/24Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

While Ron is ALWAYS hilarious and ALWAYS a good show.. his opening act 3/16 at Talking Stick just wasn’t the best choice. He has had several FUNNY openers, one favorite was Alex Reymundo!! But most recent show.. this comedian just wasn’t Ron White level, IMO.

    Oversold

by Tatertot on 3/19/24Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

So many people standing against the walls and behind our seats that it was distracting. They were not respectful and talked throughout the show won’t go back to this venue

    Venue terrible

by Purple on 3/19/24Talking Stick Resort - Scottsdale

The venue was terrible. Chairs so tightly squeezed together I didnt even have enough room for my shoulders. I am not a large person, yet I still had to sit hips straight and shoulders diagonal to fit in my tiny seat. There was enough space on the sides of the room, the chairs could have been given some more space. Highly disappointed, will never go back.

    Ron White Recap

by A LEGEND on 3/18/24Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

Ron had me laughing the entire show which is exactly why I bought the tickets to go see him. He used all new (to me anyway) material and I found the show fast-moving and hilarious. It is so much fun to watch someone who has been performing for so many years, still bring the enthusiasm to his performance. It was an excellent show!

Ron White Continues to Kill It!!

by Dan on 3/18/24Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

Ron White's amazing career, just like him, continues to get better and better. He is so very funny and relaxed on stage he draws the audience in with every story, many of which are true stories. His recent performance to a sold out crowd at "Funnier California"was no exception---he gave everyone their money's worth and had the crowd laughing the entire night. He is pure comic genius!

    Me a 3; husband a 5 rating

by Kay on 3/18/24Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

Ron White is very gifted comedian. He is extremely quick witted and can take anything and make it funny. For me, his comedy got too raunchy and I felt very uncomfortable. It’s too bad it was so sexualized because he can make people laugh without going into such details. It seems as he tested the audience, the 2nd half of his show is when it got uncomfortable for me. I would say half the audience was roaring with laughter, while the other half might have felt uncomfortable.

    Not good.

by Jen on 3/18/24Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

The venue was fine the first comedian rocky was good. We were repulsed by Ron I hadn't seen any of his stuff since blue color days. It was vulgar and we almost walked out.
