About

Comedian Ron "Tater Salad" White first rose to fame as the cigar-smoking, scotch-drinking funnyman from the Blue Collar Comedy Tour phenomenon, but now as a chart-topping Grammy-nominated comedian and a feature film actor, Ron White has established himself as a star in his own right. White has always been a classic storyteller. His stories relay tales from his real life, ranging from growing up in a small town in Texas to sharing stories of his daily life to becoming one of the most successful comedians in America. He has sold over 14 million albums (solo and with the Blue Collar Comedy Tour), been nominated for two Grammys, and has consistently been one of the top grossing stand up comedians on tour in America.

Ron White began performing comedy in 1986 and was quickly opening for legendary comedians Sam Kinison and Jeff Foxworthy. While eventually making the rounds as a comedy club headliner, in 2000, White was asked to join the Blue Collar Comedy Tour alongside Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy. The show toured for over three years to sold-out audiences in over 270 cities and grossed more than $35 million. In 2003, Warner Brothers filmed the show, Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie for a theatrical/TV/DVD/CD release. The film premiered as the most-watched movie in Comedy Central's history. In 2005, the video Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again was filmed and released on TV and DVD/CD.

In November of 2003, White released his breakthrough comedy CD Drunk In Public followed by his first one-hour TV comedy special They Call Me Tater Salad. The special had the highest viewership for a Sunday program in Comedy Central history. The DVD version reached #1 on the Billboard Comedy Chart. White's second one-hour special You Can't Fix Stupid aired on Comedy Central to 4.5 million viewers, making it the third largest audience in Comedy Central's history and the #1 show on primetime basic cable. The CD reached #1 on the Billboard Comedy Charts and remained there for 9 consecutive weeks. This success also earned White his first Grammy nomination. Ron received his second Grammy nod for the show Blue Collar Comedy Tour - One for The Road. In June 2006, Penguin Books released Ron's first book Ron "Tater Salad" White: I Had the Right to Remain Silent...But I Didn't Have the Ability, which landed him on the New York Times Best Seller List. In 2009, Ron released his 3rd album Behavioral Problems, which reached #1 on the Billboard Comedy Chart. In 2013 Ron's 4th album, A Little Unprofessional, also reached #1 on the Billboard Comedy Chart. Never one to rest on his laurels, Ron White partnered with Netflix to release his most recent effort- the highly successful comedy special, "If You'd Quit Listening, I'd Shut Up."

As an actor, Ron White has had supporting roles in the major theatrical films Horrible Bosses and Sex and the City 2. He also had a principal role in Jayne Mansfield's Car (written/directed by Billy Bob Thornton). He was a co-Executive Producer of Bridegroom, a Linda Bloodworth-Thomason documentary, which debuted at the 2013 NYC Tribeca Film Festival and won the Audience Award. In 2016, Ron White's acting talents were showcased alongside Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, and Imogen Poots, in music-industry veteran Cameron Crowe's Showtime series, Roadies. White played road-tested tour manager Phil in a critically praised performance.

Live performances on a comedy stage remain the life-blood of Ron White, and after all these years, the fans still can't get enough. White maintains a rigid touring schedule, and plays to sold out crowds all over the country night after night. The industry also continues to take notice; in 2021, Ron White was nominated as Pollstar's Comedy Touring Artist of the Decade.

  • He was great.....venue and seating terrible!!!!

by Lakegirl on 10/7/25Hard Rock Cincinnati Ballroom - CincinnatiRating: 3 out of 5

We thought he was hilarious!! The show was great......but the venue and seating were terrible. It was basically just a conference room in the casino. You couldn't see him on stage at all from where we were sitting. If not for the large TV screens....we wouldn't have seen him at all!!

  • Great time had by all

Ron White was as funny as ever! Seating was comfortable, good view of the stage, even from the back of the room. We had a great time!

Hilarious from beginning to the end. He seems to be a very nice man in addition to his talent as a comedian

  • Ron’s change

by DiaSpark on 10/6/25Hard Rock Live Bristol - BristolRating: 1 out of 5

I love seeing Ron on Instagram and was excited to be in his audience at HardRock Bristol. Unfortunately, with his monologue style change, I was disappointed. Love the old Ron.

Ron White was absolutely on his game. He was so whitty and enter acted with the crowd. He was very grateful to the audience for coming out. Really enjoyed the performance.

My husband and I had the best time listening to Ron. He never disappoints the audience. I would like to know the name of the comedian that opened for him. That guy was funny also. Ron is amazing!!

  • Ron Who?

by CJ on 9/30/25Hard Rock Live Rockford - RockfordRating: 5 out of 5

Ron White is vile, vulgar, disgusting and ridiculously funny. He has cultivated a persona and plays it very effectively for laughs. Not for the faint-of-heart or prudes, he's a boyish 'guy's guy' with few morals or standards - but he pokes fun at his own lack thereof which makes him hilarious. Kind of the 'Mark Twain' of his age/genre, he is a masterful story teller, usually telling stories on himself or his own observations - that most of us wouldn't admit or would at least blush in the telling. His honesty and candor is not only funny, it's refreshing! He doesn't interact with the crowd but he doesn't need to. He doesn't rattle off a bunch of one-liners, but he doesn't need to. He doesn't rely on props or anything other than himself. And that's enough.

  • I haven’t laughed that hard in ages!

by Had a blast! on 9/30/25Hard Rock Live Rockford - RockfordRating: 5 out of 5

I had heard that Ron White has stopped drinking and was no longer funny. I did notice that his scotch and cigar were more of a prop than actually being enjoyed, but he was still hysterical! I would recommend it and will definitely see him again!

  • Great show, no disappointment

by Bob on 9/30/25Hard Rock Live Rockford - RockfordRating: 5 out of 5

Loved the opening acts Great venue Easy parking We actually took a shuttle from our hotel Easy entry Lots to do before and after the show Ron White was amazing, no disappointment at all. Only wish the show was longer. About an hour and 15 minutes total for both acts, but I laughed my butt off the whole time.

  • Still Entertaining

by luvmijaz on 9/30/25Hard Rock Live Rockford - RockfordRating: 5 out of 5

Admittedly, Ron seemed a bit more crass than what I remember BUT it has been quite a few years since I had seen him live. I was still entertained and so were the other members of my party.

  • Ron White was as good now as he's ever been!

Ron (Tator Salad) White is an extremely funny man & we enjoyed his show on September 27, 2025 at the Hard Rock, Rockford IL. We have loved him for many years & happy he is back out there again. I also appreciated the fact that he was very humbled the other night & shared some news about his new happenings.. Keep on keepin' on Tator Salad!!!

Big fan of Ron White. One of very few people who actually makes me laugh out loud. You can be funny, but it takes an exceptionally great person to make me laugh. RON White is one of those people. HE IS A MUST SEE LIVE before he decides to retire again

  • It was good

by Joe on 9/29/25Hard Rock Live Northern Indiana - GaryRating: 5 out of 5

There was a man on stage. He told jokes. I thought the jokes he told were funny and I laughed at the jokes. The money I gave him to hear his jokes was reasonable.
