  • What great songs

by Buzzzzy on 8/14/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 4 out of 5

So he isn't a big showman or dancer. But his songs sound great especially if you hadn't heard some of them in a while. The band is tight and the guy playing horns was fantastic. What a talent. Rogers voice seems to be straining in the cold air but its a true tenor and solid. Drummer was invisible. That's a good thing in my opinion. I like the focus on the frontman. One question to me is how does this band exist without a lead guitarist? That is so rare. Go see the show. It's better than a cover band. FYI. No Rick Davies songs are played. That's a deal Roger made with him.

Great show! Played most of the Tramp stuff I wanted to hear and some solo stuff that was interesting to hear. Sound was good and his band was tight. If you missed Supertramp, this is the next best thing.

  • Loved It

by dougil on 8/14/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 4 out of 5

Roger seemed to have a good time. The audience was having a good time. I was having a good time. Music sounded great, Roger was in great voice. Excellent combination of old and new, with some of the Supertramp staples. Roger seems like a really good person; genuine, sincere, caring. Glad I had a chance to catch one of his shows.

  • Roger Hodgson is Legendary - What an Amazing Show!

by ATrueMusicLover99 on 8/14/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5

Roger Hodgson was amazing and exceeded my expectations. I know I was in for a great show but it was excellent. Roger played all of my favorite songs, had an incredible band, and played non-stop for 1.5 hours. I also loved the Pacific Amphitheater. It was small, outdoors, and intimate. I would recommend this show to everyone!

  • Superb Evening

Saw Roger in Park City, UT last summer and had to go again. Fun catalog of songs and great execution. Don't hesitate if you think about going in the future.

  • Hodgson still has IT!!

by mitsdog on 8/14/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5

WOW! So pleasantly surprised with Roger's show with what we thought was a fantastic set list. So happy to hear some of our old faves live again and with such passion as well. Loved the way he interacted with the audience, from birthday wishes to stories of people who were affected by the songs and what they meant to them. Just AWESOME and we cannot wait for his next show!!!

  • Roger Hodgson still has it

by wooooo2 on 8/14/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 4 out of 5

I was really impressed at what a great show Roger Hodgson put on. The music was true to the albums and his voice is still intact. The song selection, other than 2 of his solo songs made everyone sing and dance.

  • Roger Hodgson really is impressive

by Barnetto on 8/14/13The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5

Wonderful performer who engages the audience. Roger is a true professional who sounds as good or better today than ever. Amazing. If you're a Roger fan, do yourself a favor and see him if he comes to your town. It would even be worth a road trip. I was very impressed.

  • delightful

by revjsd on 11/23/12The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 4 out of 5

A good show. Great venue with good seats (row 16). A good mixture of Supertramp songs and Roger's solo items. Of the ST songs, Logical Song, Sister Moonshine and School were top notch. Fool's Overture was played and sung well - but really miss the traditional movie shots with the song. Roger's numbers - It's Raining (encore) and a song I had not heard (Death an a Zoo) was really good (again the video with this could have been better).

A great show. Roger sang well, his band was strong. He played songs from his entire past, a must see show.

  • Good, but short!

by longball4 on 11/21/12The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - WindsorRating: 4 out of 5

Roger was outstanding, yet I came away with feeling that he didnt play some of his best songs. I know Supertramp has a ton of great tunes, but I expected a few more tp be played.

  • Awesome show!!!

Excellent night. Mostly Supertramp songs. Nearly everything you would wish to hear. Great vocals and outstanding music. 2 hour show including one encore. Good interaction with the audience and well constructed playlist.
