Rodney Crowell never disappoints in a live show! Always entertaining and a great set at every show I’ve seen!
One of the best acoustic converts ive seen in years. Great songwriting with excellent musicians.
Rodney is one of the best writers and performers I’ve ever seen. The two guest performers Eamon and Joe are so talented in their own right. Two hours of fun and music for the soul and a night I will always remember. Rodney’s songs reach out, grab your heart and fill it with love and peace. His music makes you think about things that matter and his words are so relevant. I really can’t say enough about this show except go see him and be ready for a night of the best music you’ve heard in a long time. I really considered it an honor Rodney and thank you for Earthbound❤️
We have been to Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on numerous occasions. From security to ticket scanners to ushers, everyone is always courteous. Very intimate setting. Lighting is great and the mood is always upbeat. Rodney Crowell was wonderful. Soft spoken and engaging. Thank you for booking him and giving us the opportunity to enjoy his show.
Rodney came out as a three piece, two acoustic guitars and a fiddle/mandolin player and that’s all he needed to provide a night of magic. The fiddle player is the house fiddle player at the Grand Ole Opry! The guitar player is Joe Robinson, a 28 year old musician who won the Australia’s Got Talent competition when he was 16! The night was filled with great music by great musicians but still it was all about Rodney’s songwriting.
Rodney Crowell is an artist....and he brought his full muse. The 2 other musicians are excellent....Joe Robinson, Aussie guitarist and the Fiddler is the #1 fiddler at the grand ol opery.
Rodney brought great energy and his own incredible talent- the song lineup was a great representation of his body of work. By bringing two world class musicians with him he created a full sound with a three person band. I love to see established mature artists mentor and promote young artists- both band members were exceptional in their own right. A wonderful evening- thanks Rodney!
The Ponte Vedre Concert Hall provided the perfect intimate setting for this Rodney Crowell show. This was the third time I had seen him. The trio of Eamon McLoughlin, Joe Robinson and Rodney was a fabulous way to hear some of his best songs. A sure win for this singer/songwriter!
CBC never fails to disappoint. Great sound system as always. Rodney Crowell was another amazing artist booked while on tour for his new album “TEXAS” and HE and his band did not disappoint either!! Thank you, Rodney Crowell for adding our beautiful area to your extensive tour and thank you CBC for hosting this beloved by many; from days past Rodney Crowell who is iconic, an amazing songwriter/musician who shares much history with other whom we love. Thanks for a wonderful night.
I was introduced to Rodney's music back @ 1988 through my husband and fell in love with it! As with most musicians he was "put on the back burner" and replaced with younger artists. Still have his Diamonds and Dirt CD and it get still gets played. Steifel is a small venue which works well for my husband and I. Rodney voice is as strong and compassionate as his recordings, and we have not had a bad seat in the theatre. And for a 3 hr show, including the opening act for the price! All i can say is Thank You Rodney, Joe and Eamon!
Rodney Crowell is really a treasure to witness and the young men accompanying him were very talented musicians. What a great treat to hear Joe Robinson play a beautiful instrumental version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow. True talent is alive and well ! Cheers !
Rodney Crowell was fantastic. His lyrics are nothing short of amazing at touching my heart and addressing my hopes, fears, and regrets. The two musicians with him were also just phenomenal. The Halloran Centre is a wonderful place to see a musician like Rodney because it is a small venue and the acoustics are amazingly good. This was one of the best musical events I have ever been to.....I wish it could have lasted for two more hours!
Rodney Crowell was exceptional. Joe Robinson, guitarist, was a true prodigy. I have a feeling we will be hearing more about him over the years.
Great songwriter, singer, and storyteller. Surrounded by two amazing musicians. Bucket list item and would repeat year after year. Excellent selection of his catalog played.
Rodney Crowell played a fantastic show. He played many of my favorites in an Accoustic Setting. He was accompanied by a guitar picker named Joe Robinson, and had Eamon McLoughlin on fiddle/mandolin. Rodney had his Martin and all they 3 had a microphone. He covered Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt songs affectionately. The sound was amazing. The venue was impressive!
An outstanding show in a beautiful and comfortable theater.
We count ourselves lucky to have witnessed a singer songwriter legend performing at intimate venue. His amazing talent and the two remarkable gentleman who played with him gave us one memorable show. Phenomenal!!
Rodney Crowell puts on one of the best live shows around. He seems so at ease on stage and interacts very well with the audience. The setlist was fantastic. Just one hit after another. The ballads are my favorites to hear live because Crowell sings them so poignantly. The back-up band was awesome. As usual, Crowell brought along some of the most talented and sought after musicians in the business. Clarence Bucaro opened. Such a great night.
not only is the birchmere an extraordinary venue, as for a person who is alone, we always can get a seat next to the stage , but the people are friendly, either the patrons or the servers...the opening act was wonderful, great voice, good songs, I hope he does well in his career... rodney : what can you say ? he is almost a legend, and not only was in great voice, great spirit, but very talkative, and had the greatest musicians to play with him... he also stayed on stage almost two hours and there was not one dull moment the whole time...
Rodney Crowell and a stellar backing band put on a great show with a varied mix from his long catalogue of older and newer songs. The acoustics were better than they sometimes are at the Birchmere despite all its pluses as a venue. I could go back and listen to the same show all the way through one more time.
