I remember a lot of the material from his Comedy Central concert. However, knowing some of the lines didn't matter, since it was especially funny to see in person. My only complaint would be the length of the show. The overall event lasted just under 2 hours, plus he had an opening act. I guess his Comedy Central concert had me expecting a longer performance that evening. Plus, given the fact that it was postponed twice, I was really hoping that we would see some fresh, new material. Either way, if he came back again, I'll still go back for another night of side splitting laughs :)

About
Rodney Carrington on Tour
One of America's most popular comedians and an actor and author to boot, Rodney Carrington shows just what kind of good times can happen when country meets comedy.
Since the breakthrough success of his first major-label release Hangin' with Rodney in 1998, Carrington has been a favorite of audiences all over the world thanks to his enjoyably raucous take on the best things in life, starting with whatever's in the bottle in front of him. With signature songs like "Just One Beer," "Wish She Would Have Left Quicker" and "Put Your Clothes Back On," he proves that some jokes just go better when combined with the twang and swagger of a country tune.
In addition to being one of America's Top 10 highest-grossing comedians, Carrington headlined his own ABC sitcom with Rodney and co-starred with Toby Keith in the feature film Beer For My Horses. In 2017, his special Here Comes The Truth brought his blue-collar brand of stand-up and musical comedy to Netflix. His 2020 tour of venues across the U.S. and Canada follows the release of his latest album, Get Em Out, which hit No. 1 on the iTunes comedy chart.
Rodney Carrington Background
Rodney Carrington has been providing proudly blue-collar audiences something to laugh about ever since his earliest days as a performer at local venues and on radio shows in his native Texas in the ‘90s.
After years of touring nationally, Carrington's breakthrough came with the 1998 release of Hangin' With Rodney, a CD that introduced listeners to the combination of comedy and country music that fast became his trademark. In 2000, he scored his first Top 20 album on Billboard's country chart with Morning Wood, an equally raucous collection that included such fan favorites as "A Dozen Roses" and "Older Women."
Along with earning platinum sales as a recording artist, Carrington's achievements include starring in the ABC sitcom Rodney (2004-2006) and co-writing and co-starring with superstar Toby Keith in the feature film Beer For My Horses (2008). In 2007, he made the jump to the publishing world with his first book, Coming Clean. His Netflix special Here Comes the Truth debuted in 2017. Get Em Out, his eighth comedy album, was released in 2019.

non-stop laughs
by snoogie2 on 10/4/09Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5Rodney is so full of energy it is impossible not to become energized by his show. He performs non-stop stories and songs that command your attention because you do not want to miss anything. An adult comic that makes off color topics non-offensive and hillarously funny. Funny, irreverant, funny, imagitative, funny..........

by 48fan1 on 10/4/09Hara Arena - DaytonRating: 5 out of 5Rodney Carrington is down to earth hysterical. His facial expressions and body language add to the entire show.
Rodney finally arrived
by Patches1 on 10/4/09Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 4 out of 5The show was good but too short. Rodney was only on stage for about one hour. He does have a very good singing voice, but sometimes you could not make out what he was saying.
Rodney's a must-see
by Gerry2x on 10/3/09Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5in comparison to his material presented on his first 2 cd's, his performance was somewhat tame. but i suspect that he was told that buffalo, ny is a conservative town and might take offense at some words or provocative thought. buffalo needs to be kicked up a notch, so i say let it all hang out, rodney. he had a lot of new offerings so the show was worth the price of our tickets. i loved his song and video with the theme of adoption. the rendition of his titties and beer staple was hilarious accompanied by his piano player, the video close up was delicious. i am definitely compelled to watch "Beer for my horses". Bring grandma to this show: let her SHOW THEM TO RODNEY!!!. She'll feel a whole lot better about her patriotism.
Hysterically Funny

Worth the wait
by Rockhead140 on 10/3/09Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 4 out of 5This show was postponed 2 times so I was concerned that his heart wasn't going to be into the show. It was great. He was non stop for 90 minutes and funny all the time. Only complaint may be with the theatre and not the performer but the crusty old security guy needs to be replaced by someone with a personality
Rodney's show was to short!
by Scoobyjoe on 10/3/09Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 3 out of 5Rodney was funny as always, but wasn't on stage for long enough to be worth what we paid. When paying $45.00 a ticket, you would expect to get more then an hours performance. Rodney was on stage for about 45 minues, left for a quick break and came back out for 15 minutes and said goodnight.
Rodney was the bomb
by mtmind on 10/3/09Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloRating: 5 out of 5This was one of the best show I've seen in a long long time. My hat is off to Rodney for a great job.
Great fun, laughed the entire time.
by njohn21 on 9/21/09Des Moines Civic Center - Des MoinesRating: 4 out of 5Rodney is such a funny fellow. Kept everyone entertained all evening. Only disappointed he didn't sing the Chicken Song.
Rodney was absolutely hillarious!
by rodneyfaniowa on 9/21/09Des Moines Civic Center - Des MoinesRating: 5 out of 5Our group was constantly laughing at this show! We found Rodney to be very personable and just like a "good 'ol boy" next door neighbor. He makes you laugh at everyday occurances in life- stuff we can all relate to. We would drive anywhere to see him again! The Civic Center could have used a few changes though.....our group and those we talked to around us felt the theater was way to cold, and it seemed like they couldn't adjust the volume in the speakers between his verbal comedy to his singing. (way to loud when he sang his songs). Would have liked to have seen a bigger screen behind him as well. Rodney outshined all that though- what a great and funny guy! Would love to see him regularly in Iowa! We have told everybody we know about the show and absolutely recomment it to everyone to see! Love ya Rodney!
Carrington is hilarious
by WideEyed on 9/21/09Des Moines Civic Center - Des MoinesRating: 5 out of 5Rodney hit it off. After initially seeing his act on Comedy Central, I had high hopes for his live act. He'd updated 90% of his material. Timing was dead-on. And he still sang old favorites that still prompted the ladies to "Show 'Em to Me." My stomach hurt the next day from laughing for 2 hours during the show. Money well spent. Laughter is the best medicine.
