Rod Stewart in Concert
With his 1978 No. 1 single, Rod Stewart famously asked the world "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?" 100 million record sales later, it's safe to say the world answered "Yes." As one of the top-selling artists of all time, with a career spanning four decades, the British singer-songwriter is one of the most celebrated figures in rock and roll history. The times may have changed, but Stewart's appeal hasn't - with his 28th studio album, 2013's Time, the raspy crooner once again topped the UK Albums Chart - the first time he'd done so since the release of his Greatest Hits Volume 1 in 1979. Stewart got his start as a solo artists in the early '70s, achieving his first mainstream success with blues rock hit "Maggie May" from 1971's Every Picture Tells a Story. In the late '70s and early '80s, the singer would adopt disco and new wave influences to much success, including the 1978 No. 1 Blondes Have More Fun and 1981's Tonight I'm Yours, which featured the hit "Young Turks." On tour, Stewart treats ticket buyers to rollicking sets of his greatest hits, proving that "Rod the Mod" still knows how to give one heck of a live concert.
Fantastic concert by a true showman. Super entertaining show.
Sir Rod still has it!! The six beautiful ladies have it also -they can play every instrument made with great talent and the vocals were outstanding And, that was one of the best sax players. No intermission - solid music on time all night
An Amazing concert. It was a rainy night, but it worth to get some wet.
Rod Stewart and his incredibly talented entourage were amazing!! Loved every minute!!
I loved seeing Rod Stewart for the 4th time! He still has the voice I will always remember! So glad I got to catch him in concert one more time!
Third or fourth time I have seen Rod. Actually this time he looked and moved better than the previous times so be assured Rod is alive and kicking! Not my favorite show of his as this time he did some of his faster tunes and from the disco era. Note that the women in the audience loved it as there was lots and lots of dancing going on. Still sounds great, still has a great catalog, but wish he would have done some from the Great American songbook. I would not miss him for the world so can't wait till the next one...
Rod Was great. He is still sounding great. We paid a lot of money for our seats and it looked like we had the front row of the balcony (where the seats start going up) Unfortunately, the seats were in the floor (these are all just chairs). In saying this, there was a busy aisle directly in front of us. We had many, many people walking in front of us and we even had to keep pulling in our feet. We also had a very large and tall person sitting in front of us on the other side of the pathway. We basically paid 700.00 per ticket and could barely see or enjoy the show. Shame on us. It kind of put a damper on my birthday. It would have been nice if Rod came back for any type of encore as well. He basically just ended the show without any type of thanks or goodbye. He just left. đ¤ˇââď¸
Could not sit down. Wow. !!!! Will go to more concerts. Hope he comes back to Jacksonville
The concert was good although it had a very abrupt ending. Entertainers walk off and lights come on. The venue is open air and since it was raining water was running down the floor and occasionally splashing through leaky spots in the roof. Plus it was very difficult getting out of the parking lot. They were not directing cars out to an obviously open gateway that we had to cut across lot to get to and when we got there, there was no waiting in line. This was after we waited 20 to 30 minutes blocked in our car at the other end of the lot and not moving at all. it was dark and there should just be more people directing drivers out of the parking lot.
I really enjoyed Rod Stewart! He is an icon and a great entertainer! His entire show is fantastic! Iâve had the opportunity to see him twice. I enjoyed every minute! â¤ď¸
My first time at Daily's Jacksonville. Great venue!! Entry and finding seats went very smoothly. The sound system is very good. Rod was, AS USUAL, very much Rod. I was just worried about him. He seemed sick/under the weather, and yes I know he's 79. He just didn't seem well. A shorter show than usual, this was my 18th time to see him. No soccer balks, no entire. I hope he's OK. And hope I get to see him again.
Bought the tickets for my wife for valentines weekend and spent the weekend in Jacksonville
As usual Rod was spot on!! Great backup singers and musicians as well. I have attended Rodâs concerts over the last 40-50 years and he never disappoints.
Rod is a wonderful entertainer. Itâs amazing that he is 79 years old. He played for an hour and 45 minutes and was constantly dancing and running the stage the entire time.
Rod Stewart is timeless. His voice is as good as ever. He still has all the moves and his band, dancers & other singers complement him so well. Best concert ever! I hope to see him in concert someday doing his Great American Songbook!
Rod Stewart was great. The venue on the other hand was terrible. It was raining and there was a leak where my seats were. 3 rows were wet and constantly being dripped on. I left there soaked and so did my friends and all the people around me. Some people had to dump their food and drinks because dirty water dripped on the food. I will never see another show there.
Really good show with lots of energy. Rod's voice is still the same and he's very entertaining. Back up singers & band are really impressive.
Sir Rod continued to give a memorable performance singing many of his most famous songs, including a fabulous rendition of Forever Young.
Thoroughly enjoyed the show. We had a great time listening to classic rock and roll
What a great show and the venue was awesome not a bad seat in the house!
