  • Dim light, Bright music

Rick Schuler was warm, engaging, and excellent in his sharing of John Denver's music and some familiar Christmas songs. The stage set was reminiscent of a living room. There were two things that detracted from the experience: the stage light was intimate but far too dim. It was hard to see Rick or his facial expressions. The balance of voice to guitar was off; you couldn't always tell quite what he was singing because the guitar was turned up a bit too loud over the voice. Despite these minor complaints, it was excellent. I brought a 29-year-old cousin who had never even heard of John Denver, and he was astonished. Said it was "wonderful!"We agree!

I went to see Rocky Mountain High. I liked how intimate and small the theater was. They let us sing with the performer. That was HOT.

Couldn't stop smiling from start to finish! Thank you for bringing back the good feelings we had of listening to John Denver albums in the 70s!

  • Too religious for me

by Jules on 12/22/24Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

He sang some John Denver songs, but we were asked to accompany him on a few Christmas songs, all of which were religious ones., Including a musical version of the Lord’s prayer. This might appeal to some, but it didn’t to me.
