Rockford Symphony Orchestra Tickets

Great musicianship par usual. Kudos to our noble artists! The selections left me a bit disappointed however. Sorry, but where was the gorgeous work from Schindlers List? Instead we got Lincoln? No comprendo. Loved Harry Potter and Star Wars though. But the "light show" was cheesy and having the costumed characters stand by the stage seemed random and pointless. And people in the audience, please lay off the beans and cabbage before you go to the theater. Your seat does NOT absorb your stench and it's not funny for those of us over the age of 8.

This was a fantastic concert. I would love to have more of these "movie" themed concerts! There are so many wonderful film scores that are impressive to hear in concert! I would absolutley go to another concert where there is a "movie" theme. WONDERFUL

Wonderful concert devoted to works of John Williams. All were on their feet at the end.

This was a great concert - the program was well thought out and I really did enjoy every selection. My kids enjoyed it as well. This is an annual event for my daughters and myself.

Last year (2013) was the first year I attended the Nutcracker here in Rockford, and I was impressed. I normally go to Chicago for this show, but it was my daughter's first year going and at age 4 I was unsure if the long drive to the city was a good idea. That show was very well done, so much so that we went again this year. Unfortunately, the 2014 performance was not as strong. The cast seemed smaller, costumes weaker, there were changes to key story elements, and Mother Ginger was completely omitted. If this had been my first viewing I would not have returned, and I hope that next year's show returns to many of the elements that made 2013 so good.

I attended last year with my mother. This year I took my mother, husband, son & sister in-law. They all loved it. We will be attending every year! It is fantastic.

I live in CA now, but return to IL for Christmas each year. I decided I wanted to see the Coronado Theater in its restored state so I looked for a show happening while I was in town. I found the Holiday Pops concert, and it was perfect! I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who loves Christmas music. The beautiful theater is an added bonus.

I was looking for something to do for the Holiday that my 86 year old mother would enjoy. This was perfect. Not only was the concert wonderful but being in the Coronado is an event in itself. This was perfect for all ages.

The performance was wonderful. This is a chace to enjoy a great symphony in a very beautiful venue. Bravo RSO!

Totally enjoyed the RSO holiday pops concert. Only disappointment was that I saw that excerpts from the Nutcracker were going to be preformed and was hoping that RSO was going to preform them but the chorus did. While they were fine it was a little disappointing.

A great family activity and a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season!

It was nice to attend...once. There were many beautiful, good dancers in both the First and Second Companies. it was kind of like a high end dance recital though.

The ballet was a wonderful experience and we loved it. The Coronado is a beautful venue and we look forward to attending events there in the future.

It was a enjoyable night out with my wife and family. Seeing how the wife and I have never taken in a Ballet I can't say how well the dancer performed but we found the music and dancing entertaining. Pros: Theater was beautiful seating outstanding 5 stars!!! Price $27. a ticket was fair but if I would have paid more than that I would have felt different about the performance. Parking Garage: great location across the street from the theater the police directing traffic Cons: Parking garage gates ran out of tickets at the gate only one prepay parking machine

The lead dancers were terrific and the orchestra was very good

It was a first rate performance and would highly recommend it. My Granddaughter was one of the little Angels. All the performers were wonderful and the Orchestra sounded fantastic.

I've seen the Nutcracker in many different theatres, at many different prices, this has got to be the best bang for my buck yet.

My granddaughter (who danced the role of Clara in our local production), my daughter (who also danced in the local production) and I attended the Sunday afternoon production in Rockford. It was Amazing. The interpretation of the new artistic director was so interesting. and the symphony was wonderful! We try to attend every year and each year seems more thrilling. The show moved quickly and seemed to be flawless. A special shout out to the guest artists who were all very good, but particularly enjoyable were the Wilkes-Davis pair of dancers. It is my opinion that they were the best Cavalier and Sugar Plum Fairy we have seen anywhere in the world! Amazing!!! Kudos to all who participated in anyway!

The nutcracker was beautiful. I have a lovely time with my mother. Some of the people in the audience were not raised with proper manners for attending a show like that, but it was fun nonetheless.

We go to the Nutcracker to see a specific person perform. Their performance was drastically reduced. It is terrible to have anyone go to weeks of practice and then have them do something so minute is not right. Just eliminate that part rather than go through this embarrassment. We didn't even stay for the second part. The snowflakes dance was really wonderful and it was very good except for our personal experience. So I am giving it a low rating
