This was a great show. We enjoyed every minute of it. If you get a chance, it's difinitely worth the price. You can't help but sing along, and maybe laugh at yourself, just a little.
Really bad cast! Vocals are weak! Left before intermission.
Rock of Ages is 2 hours of "guilty pleasure" songs combined. The show is hilarious and the songs are wonderful. The writers cleverly interwove the songs into a harmonious piece of work.
Great show! Loads of fun! It's a show about the music but doesn't take itself seriously. Be prepared to ROCK!
Rock of Ages was fantastic! We went with 6 couples for my husbands birthday, every single one of us LOVED every minute of it! It was so entertaining! The band was great the cast was funny and so talented. I had read the review in the Tribune Thrusday morning,which was not very favorable and left the show wondering what show the reviewer went to see because it couldn't have been Rocck of Ages! I wish it was here longer I'd go back again and I would love to bring my teenagers! Rock On!
We has a blast. The music was so fun and upbeat. The ages in our ranged from 27 to 72 and we all enjoyed the show.
This was my third time seeing Rock of Ages - once in New York, last year in Chicago and now on the 10th of Nov. The first two times were amazing and this time was very good. A little newer cast, not as experienced but they tried and the audience supported them all the way. Everyone had a good time. The Tribune reviewer should have been there Thursday night, the house rocked.
Because I grew up in the 80's ..... I was really looking forward to seeing the show. I had no idea just how much fun it would be. We had a blast.... the music, costumes, etc. We loved it so much....we are now looking at other cities to see it again.
Usually go to more "traditional" broadway productions, but really enjoyed the ingenuity, humor of Rock of Ages. The talent on stage was exceptional.
Had the absolute best time at Rock of Ages! Every second of the show was perfection, I woke up the next morning wishing I had tickets to go back again that night! A MUST SEE for any 80s fan!
I took my wife to see this show. We both laughed our butts off. We're generally not huge fans of musicals, but If you grew up in or around the 80's this show is a must see! We had a great time reminiscing about our younger years!
We loved this show! Great music...good jokes...it was a great play for the guys in our family who seem to despise the idea of "theater". We really enjoyed ourselves, on of our favs!
Although some print reviews have compared this tour to the first, never having seen the show before I have nothing to compare it to. Judging this show on its own merits, it was well worth it. If you like 80's rock music, some bawdy comedy, and decent character roles by the actors this show is for you. Including the 15 minute intermission, it runs about 2 1/2 hours with plenty of musical numbers. A real live band is playing throughout, not canned music. Go have some fun.
Fabulous, every performer was outstanding. Very energetic and entertaining. I would attend the same performance and get just as much out of a second performance as the first. Highly recommend seeing it if you like wholesome entertainment and of course the music of the 80's...reminded me of those days!!!
Absolutely enjoyed the musical Rock of Ages. Growing up as a teenager in the 80's, it was wonderful to hear the songs again that I use to party too. The entire cast did an amazing job!
This was one of the best musicals I have ever seen. It was very lively and interesting. The music went very well with the story.
SO MUCH FUN! I had a blast! It took awhile to get the crowd into it (even though my buddy and I were already singing the first song outloud!) but after awhile, everyone was loving the 80s' classics! Great voices, fun, lighthearted storyline. I highly recommend it!
My wife loved it !! My expectations were different but as the show progressed it got better and better. "UNDERSTUDY" did an immaculate job !!
The show was amazing! The actor playing Drew had an amazing voice!
