About

ROBYN IN CONCERT:

Swedish synthpop sensation Robyn has teamed up with fellow Nordic electro titans Royksopp to bring fans one of the most dance-soaked concert events of the summer season. With her signature moves and futuristic image, Robyn puts on one heck of a bleeding edge show, and she never fails to wow audiences with her ability to sing through even the most complex choreography. Whether she's bouncing to the chugging beats and icy synths of "Dancing on My Own" or joining Royksopp on stage to perform collabo tracks like "Do It Again," she's sure to have fans dancing the night away on the Royksopp & Robyn Do It Again Tour 2014.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Stockholm-born Robyn got her start as a child voice actor before moving on to music, performing her first self-written song on Swedish television at just age 12. By middle school she had signed to a major label subsidiary, and at age 16 she released her debut full-length Robyn Is Here. The album launched her to international fame as bubbly pop singles like "Show Me Love" and "Do You Know (What It Takes)" cracked the US Top 10 and received club play around the world. After releasing two more dance pop albums in the early '00s Robyn parted ways with her previous label, and in 2005 she debuted a new electro-influenced sound and image with her self-titled fourth album. The stylistic shift was tremendously well received, pushing the album to No. 1 in her native Sweden and resulting in her first UK No. 1 "With Every Heartbeat." Back on tour in 2014 with longtime collaborators Royksopp, Robyn is primed to deliver another round of unforgettable high-octane performances.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"...Robyn came out and kept the crowd on their feet the entire time. She has been in the business for a long time and she deserves the recognition for her music style, songs, and perfect beats! I would see her again in a heartbeat!"

"...Robyn killed it! She was so on fire... Such a great performer. She's got lots of energy on the stage, and she can actually sing and dance at the same time without playback."

"Robyn, what can I say? She was in a dancing frenzy and every single one of us danced and sang right along with her. No one near me or behind me sat....ever. You could FEEL the passion and emotion exuding from her not just through her voice but from every motion."

Robyn killed it but it was a sauna

by ATP on 7/20/19TD Pavilion at the Mann - Philadelphia

Robyn was amazing. But it was extremely hot and humid. It started thunder storming and the Mann closed most of their concession stands. So my sister and I couldn’t even buy a bottle of water when we were sweating and dancing. I don’t think I’ll go back to that venue.

    The Mann needs a remodel

by Mike on 7/20/19TD Pavilion at the Mann - Philadelphia

Thunderstorms hit the area at about 8:00. All of The Mann bars and concession areas are outside . They shut them all down for the duration of the concert. Huge issue with most in attendance. Robyn was amazing as always.

    Queer Storm

by Bridget on 7/20/19TD Pavilion at the Mann - Philadelphia

Despite the fact that the storms forced us off of the lawn, Despite the fact that it was 9 million degrees out, even after the rain, Despite the fact that the show started an hour late because of a storm delay, Despite the fact that the concession stands we shut down for much of out time here and once they opened again they were almost inaccessible...this was truly an amazing experience. The Mann did a wonderful job of just rolling with it. They employees weren’t grumpy(which I might have been), but were very accommodating. I think the crowd remained in an extremely positive mood in spite of the environmental challenges which, I would like to stress, were absolutely no fault of the venue. I have been waiting to see Robyn for over 20 years and she was absolutely amazing. She played the things everyone wanted to hear and danced her Swedish heart out. Almost more importantly, because of how amazing she is everyone felt comfortable coming as they were. This is one of the most visible and proud queer crowds I have ever been a part of. Thank you, Robyn, for being the sort of person that makes total strangers feel comfortable to be who they are around you. I am a curmudgeon who doesn’t normally dance and doesn’t smile often but this show made me do both, in abundance.

    Beyond

by G. on 3/11/19Madison Square Garden - New York

About Robyn last night. Wow. Just wow!!! 👸 8 years is a long time to go between albums. To say I was anticipating this concert is an understatement. Expectations were sky high. She shattered them. Whether, like me, you've been a fan since the 90's or you jumped on her train in 2010 with Body Talk and Dancing On My Own, she showed us why she is inimitable and in a league of her own. This "Dance Hall Queen" and her indelible Dance Pop is imbued with something that fills a stadium and yet is tethered in the deeply personal. It straddles anguish and ecstasy, love and loss, from one note and one verse to the next. The instruments on stage were strong, especially the percussion, with some incredible interludes from keyboards and strings. The video projections which mirrored her and the dancers showed off how well it was choreographed. She showcased her new album, Honey, went through her biggest hits, and about half way through brought us into the club, onto the dance floor. I especially loved versions of songs from her 2005 album, Be Mine and Every Heartbeat. And her dancing, improved over the hiatus, was this Robyn-only mix of skill and idiosyncrasy, quirkiness. The frantic, almost seizure-like quality of it punctuating who she is - uncompromising, un-selfconscious It was also deeply personal for me, reminded me where I was, transitions, moments, a time in the past with a lover (now friend) who I went to the show with, who I'd seen her with at Webster Hall (RIP) and terminal 5. It was an anthem of parts of my life. And the audience was on fire in a way that is rare. It felt like Wembley, Live Aid 1985, of course it was a forth the size. She definitely went "down in the deep where the honey is sweeter"

    So much fun!

by Loudon Mark on 3/11/19Madison Square Garden - New York

Loved her! Very disappointed in the openers. All just no talent and Boring to watch. Also waiting two hours before jer to preform was a bit of a wait.

    Robyn Put on a Show!!!

by A. B. on 3/11/19Madison Square Garden - New York

I had a decent view of the stage, and luckily there were projector screens that zoomed in on her. She and her dancer did an amazing job. The energy in the stadium was overwhelmingly positive and carefree. Everyone was dancing and singing along. And Robyn, whew! She slayed her vocals and had amazing energy and stamina! It was the best experience I've have so far for 2019! Highly recommend seeing her!
