Halford coming through as a true metal GOD

by derocker on 12/21/104th and B - San Diego

i figured that although i love judas priest, Rob Halford couldnt still be blasting his high pitched siren screams.... unbelievable...Halford and his band were phenomenal. from heavy metal to diamonds and rust, to into the pit, and so on just rocked hard. He didnt miss one beat. even for those who just like judas priest, this show blew SD away. Great band... his two front axeman were amazing and blazing, ripping up and shredding each song.. drummer and bassist were on perfectly. bottom line, if you missed this show, you missed seeing a true metal god who is rockin as strong as ever.....

    Halford KILLED!!

by PriesttillIdie on 12/21/104th and B - San Diego

I have seen at least one show from each Priest tour since 1981, and every tour Rob has done, either with Fight or Halford. I have to say, I suspect since the Halford tour was not as long and arduous as a Priest world tour might be, his voice was strong. I mean STRONG! He has a great band, they all seemed to really enjoy being onstage together, and they just killed at everything. Rob's voice was fantastic.

    the legend up close

    by jas8 on 12/21/104th and B - San Diego

The line-up was flawless. All aspects of quality sounds were touched. I was able to see Warbringer and Philm and was NOT disappointed. Halford was the icing of the cake for the night. Such a quality show, Halford no doubt delivers and wails <3 4th and B is also a great venue. Open floor to roam and move up close or chill in the back. It's reall big. Overall was a great show!

Halford was amazing. It was a privilege to see the Metal God in such an intimate setting. Rob's voice was on fire, as was the rest of the band. A must see!!!

    Halford was INCREDIBLE !!!!

by TheMetalgirl on 12/17/10Ogden Theatre - Denver

The man and the band were AMAZING. Rob Halford is such a genuine, gracious person. He truly enjoys performing and it showed. His vocals were excellent (even at this high altitude) Song selection was good. Four Priest songs, a Fight song, one Christmas tune and the rest straight up Halford. This man deserves all the respect in the world and Denver gave it to him. Throw the horns for HALFORD !!!

Rob Halfod is still the Metal GOD!

    by Anda74 on 12/17/10Ogden Theatre - Denver

Absolutely amazing! He was in full form, interacted with the public - something he never does when playing with Judas Priest, the venue was perfect and cozy - allowed us to be very close to the stage and see Rob in real life, not just on giant screens on stadiums. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Two days later, I'm still wearing a HUGE smile on my face :)

Outstanding show. Rob is truly a class act. The Ogden needs new house woofers as their bass was muddy.

Halford remains the God of Metal !!!!!!

by cinnamongirlE on 12/10/10Crocodile Rock - Allentown

This was undoubtedly one of the best concerts I ever attended and I have seen Rob Halford with every band he has forefronted. No gimmicks, just hardcore rock and a great sampling from Halford past and the awesome new CD. The venue was great since so close to stage and not a bad seat in the house. I would deffinitely see another concert there....worth the three hour trip for me and hope to see Halford again soon. This concert was much more representative of his talent unlike the short set at Ozzfest.

    WOW!!!

by PoconoBill on 12/6/10Crocodile Rock - Allentown

HALFORD was awesome!!! I didn't really start to listen to Judas Priest until my 40s and became a big fan. I never listened much to anything from Rob Halford other than Judas Priest, until now. HALFORD played a little something from Priest, Fight and HALFORD. The band lineup is GREAT and Rob Halford's vocals were outstanding. I was right up front and you could feel the great admiration from the crowd and also from Rob and the band. I also very much enjoyed the short reminiscences and thoughts shared by Rob, enhancing the very intimate feeling of the show.

    UNBELEIVABLE!!!!!!!

by mtlmike on 12/6/10Crocodile Rock - Allentown

Rob Halford, "The Metal God", was incredible!!!! He opened the show, as predicted, with Ressurection and rolled right into Made In Hell.....Rob did a good mix of newer songs, along with some songs from his band FIGHT. The JP songs they preformed were The Green Manalishi, Diamonds And Rust, Jawbreaker, and the seldom heard Heart Of A Lion...........all were incredible!!!!! I was able to get within 10 heads to the stage and towards the end managed to get "high fives" from Rob, and guitarists, Metal Mike and Roy Z, as i was able to move against the rails on the right of the stage, where they entered and exited. I once met Rob in 1996, and have regreted ever since that i failed to give him lyrics to a song i had written. Well, I no longer regret because i was able to give them to Metal Mike, along with a picture of Rob and I, that ive had ever since that night in 1996. My hope is to at least recieve an E-mail from the band.......

    EXCELLENT

by THOMBRUNN on 12/6/10Crocodile Rock - Allentown

ROB HALFORD STILL HAS THAT GREAT VOICE AT AGE 59. I'M VERY THANKFUL THAT HE IS MAKING MUSIC ON THE SIDE OF JUDAS PRIEST. BUT STILL CAN'T WAIT FOR THE PRIEST CD. ROB HAS A WAY WITH CHOOSING WHAT SONGS TO PLAY AND IN A CERTAIN ORDER. HOPE TO HEAR AND SEE MANY MORE COCERTS. HE REALLY ENJOYS WHAT HE DOES AND IT SHOWS.

    HALFORD = THE METAL GOD

by LOKESH on 9/29/10The Regal Ballroom - San Fransisco

Alright now, first off I'm A DIE-HARD JUDAS PRIEST (and ROB HALFORD) FAN! So, I HAD to get the tickets for Halford. Of course, I did expect most of the songs to be from Halford, so I wasn't surprised not hearing priest songs (except 'Heart of a lion') but BOY OH BOY was THIS CONCERT ON CRACK, I swear Halford hit 4 or 5 octaves in Resurrection!!! It was INCREDIBLE! But what surprised me is that he's 59 and can hit those notes, and in fact has only become BETTER! Truthfully, I've heard only a third of the material from Halford, but songs such as 'Resurrection' and 'Made in Hell' made me go crazy. I was 2 rows IN FRONT OF THE METAL GOD, WHERE ALL THESE HIGH/DRUNK METAL FANS WENT CRAZY. I joined in with the Head-banging, jumping, screaming and even pushed the hell out of everybody around me. It's a metal fan thing! It was a FANTASTIC venue, in the SF regal ballroom which was very regal indeed! I met some metal head fiends there and we made a pact to form 'a wall' so that no one could get through us. A REAL STRONG WALL IT WAS INDEED! A very fun and entertaining night by the one and only METAL GOD ROB HALFORD - MY FAVORITE!

    Massive Halford Fan

by HeavyMetalManiac on 8/11/10Ballroom - San Francisco

Even though I am a Massive Halford fan I thought the show was just so-so. Silent Scream was awesome along with a few others. I guess I had different expectations. Maybe a few Fight songs as well as a few more familiar Priest songs than the one Priest song they performed. That being said, it was a decent effort just didn't blow me away they did the year earlier when he was tour for the 25th annv. of British Steal.

    The Metal God still rules!

by MetalGoddess1 on 7/26/10The Regency Ballroom - San Francisco

This was a warm up show to the Ozzfest gigs! An incredible show and the Halford band who debuted new material of their upcoming CD. You are all in for a special time at Ozzfest! Throw up the horns and rock out everyone! The Metal god is going to blow you away.
