The adults enjoyed it as much as the kids

by Liz on 5/7/24XL CENTER - Hartford

Action packed, thrilling, and silly at times. We will definitely make this a tradition with the grandkids.

    An Interesting Venue

by Lynn on 5/7/24XL CENTER - Hartford

The first half was great, such talent, but I think that it was more for older people/children. They can only watch so much dancing, acrobatics, etc. The second half was much better, and I am sure it was meant to be that way. My 6 year old grandson absolutely loved the unicyclist, bicycles stunts, and of course, the lady shot out of the cannon. Acoustics were outstanding. The old circus was what we all remember. The elephants parading down main street to the Civic Center. The tigers and lions. I know that had to change but that was the "real"circus

Very sad. Not really a circus at all.

by Tina on 5/7/24XL CENTER - Hartford

Very disappointed. Not like the circus when my kids were young. Felt bad for my granddaughter that she couldn't experience a real circus. This had no animals at all. Not even a dog act. The dog was an AI robot. There were some acrobatics and balancing acts but mostly one lady that sang alot and lots of dancing. It was more like a Broadway show. Oh and not one real clown. Just a few guys doing some clown things. Not very funny. I guess if you never saw a real circus you mightlike this. Not worth the money.

    Great show

by Nikki on 5/7/24XL CENTER - Hartford

I was very entertained from the beginning to the end. I believe I enjoyed it just as much as my child did. I would recommend it to Family and friends.

    Amazing!!

by A. Mac on 5/7/24XL CENTER - Hartford

The show was absolutely amazing!! Within the first 5 minutes I told my husband it was worth the cost (which was very reasonable). Will definitely be going again the next time they come around!!

    Disappointed

    by Whitefox75 on 5/7/24XL CENTER - Hartford

The nostalgia of attending a Ringling Bros circus was not met. The lack of animal attractions is certainly felt. There are no clowns. I felt that i was attending a live recording of America's Got Talent.

    Truly a SPECTACULAR experience!

by Special K on 5/7/24XL CENTER - Hartford

Loved it, loved it, LOVED it!!! I felt like a kid again. Didn't know which way to look b/c I didn't want to miss anything. I think I enjoyed it more than my son. LOL. Well done!!! Can't wait until the next time.

    Not the same

    by Momof3 on 5/7/24XL CENTER - Hartford

I was surprised to learn no animals were in the circus. It was very different from when I was a kid (now 38). I was not as entertained but my kids (6 and 3) did enjoy it. I was disappointed that there were not even clowns doing silly tricks in the show. It was just a lot of music, carats, tight rope, unicycles and juggling. Not much of a true circus show.

    Okay time - too pricey

    by babyblue06512 on 5/7/24XL CENTER - Hartford

I figured this event would be a fun time for my family and myself. My husband and I are thirty something and we have a teen and a 7yo. The event was okay, lacking a main event or something that was unique than the rest. The concessions were very expensive and the stuff that was available for purchase (i.e. swords, hats etc.) was even more pricey. So, beyond the price of the circus ($200) we spent additional $150 on a couple snacks and souvenirs. The audio was also tough to hear when the performers were talking.

Great for the kiddos; meh for the adults

by Kerry on 5/7/24Amica Mutual Pavilion - Providence

The venue was not conducive to the acts. The trapeze was what most of us were most looking forward to, but when they were thrown into the air, their bodies at the peak of the trick were obscured by the light features and from the mid to upper levels, they just "disappeared."The mics were off and terrible for the first half of the show; it's as if they didn't do a sound check, so you couldn't understand what they were saying. We were also sitting in front of a group of kids with two moms who had zero concerns for how obnoxious they were being, but that isn't the Show's fault.

    Better 5 years ago

by Shawn on 5/6/24XL CENTER - Hartford

I didn’t enjoy the circus. My children were bored. The only part they liked was the motor bikes and drum set with the fire. It’s not the same without ANY animals….

    Ehh

by Bigdogbananas on 5/6/24XL CENTER - Hartford

Definitely not as exciting as I thought it was going to be the kids were not into it. Kids these days want to be on their tablets not watching people jump around like a bunch of silly gooses

    Exciting

by Chassie on 5/6/24XL CENTER - Hartford

My family really enjoyed all of the cool stunts and acrobatics. Miss having the animals incorporated in the cast but we understand.

Great show and fun for the family

by Spizer on 5/5/24Amica Mutual Pavilion - Providence

Went into the show with no expectations as it has changed since I last saw when it included animals. The animals were definitely missed but they have done a great job keeping it a fun experience.

    Disappointed

by Lani on 5/5/24Amica Mutual Pavilion - Providence

Disappointed to say the least. The show was underwhelming from a lack of variety. Almost the entire thing was singing (with really bad audio on my side of the stadium) and acrobatics. Don’t get me wrong, the people involved in the acrobatics were extremely talented and the tricks were impressive, but it was a whole lot of the same thing over and over. The clowns don’t look like clowns, the audio production was screwy, there were no animals (with good reason), no motorcycles or much of the fun flashiness you think of when you think “circus.” If I wanted to see 2 hours of acrobatic performance art and rather basic musical performance, I’d go see that, and I wouldn’t bring my 4 year old. It hardly kept mine or my partners attention, certainly can’t imagine children being very engaged and should be marketed as such. Likely will not attend again unless there’s a major revamp.

    Disappointing

by Elvis on 5/2/24Amica Mutual Pavilion - Providence

The circus now is more a musical with some whimsical acts. So much of the high wire acts. No clown, or fun things for younger children. I didn't expect animals, but I thought some of the content would be geared towards smaller age groups.

Not the circus I was expecting

by Lyssee on 5/1/24Amica Mutual Pavilion - Providence

I will say that it was my fault for buying tickets to the circus - thinking there was going to be animals. I did not remember they were no longer part of the show which I understand. However advertising a circus without animals or what the standard used to be was disappointing. Show didnt keep my toddler engaged past intermission. The performers were very talented but it was more circus solei than ringling brothers.

    A circus with no animals?

by Leia on 5/1/24Amica Mutual Pavilion - Providence

The circus was ok for my grandson who is 6. But I was disappointed that there was no animals and not 1 clown. It wasn't worth the $80 a ticket.

All the kids and adults LOVED the show. 10/10! We'll be back when the Show comes to town again next year. Can't wait!
