    Enjoyed the circus

    by MDean25 on 12/15/10FedExForum - Memphis

My 6 year old son thought most of the show was awesome. We did not care for the cat act and thought the tight rope act went on too long. The motorcycle was fun, the acrobats on ropes were amazing and well as the women suspended by their hair. I appreciated that souvenirs were not sold in the stands during the show. We were able to focus on the acts. We were disappointed that there was no flying trapeze act.

    Amazingly fun for toddlers!

by WhiFe on 12/15/10FedExForum - Memphis

My family and I had a blast. The show was great and we loved it. My daughter who turned two the day of the show was dancing and having a ball. Would recommend this show for everyone.

    ok

    by KimP083 on 12/15/10FedExForum - Memphis

To me the show was really boring. It SHOULD not have been labeled the Greatest Show On Earth!! My three year old daughter kept telling me she was ready to go home, she has never done this at any event that I've taken her to!! the acts were boring, the tigers were lazy, and the elephant really did nothing. The magic was below average, there were no amazing illuscinations. Hate I wasted $50.

    wonderful elephants!!!!

by carlyrea on 12/15/10Verizon Arena (formerly Alltel Arena) - North Little Rock

Very amateur. Not at all impressed with the magic...doing it lost a lot of the circus feel! Not enough clowns! And what happen to 3 rings?! Nothing like when I went as a kid. I would not recommend to any friend with children over 8 years old. However, My 4 year old loved it! The elephants were WONDERFUL...our favorite part! Dogs and cats were great too!

    Circus was Good

by Anonymous on 12/15/10FedExForum - Memphis

The show was pretty good if we could have seen more. We were on the first row in the lower seating and could not see the dog show and some other performances. The view was blocked by the people sitting on the floor seats. Low seats are always not a better deal.

    Seen Before

    by H2O2Man on 12/14/10FedExForum - Memphis

I could not wait to take my Grandaughter to the Ringling Brother's show. I though it was going to be like the old 3 ring shows I went to many years ago. It was not what I expected but my grandaughter and her friend had a gerat time so it was worth the time and money. I see after the show it was the Illuscination show. I hope Ringling Brother's still has the 3 ring show and it will come to Memphis. I bought my Grandaughter the Ringling Brothers & Barunum & Bailey's Circus lionel train set and it is running now under our Christmas Tree. I believe that Ringling Brothers & Barunum & Bailey's Circus is the best show going and I hope that it will on for many more years for all to enjoy.

Well first of all when me and my son got to the event, our tickets have been deemed as voided due to reseating of the arena. But the seats that we got instead of the ones I purchases were actually closer but the floor seats blocked alot of our view. I have been going to Ringling Brother Circus since I was a young girl and the show has changed dramatically. This was our last circus experience!

    Kids will love it

by Annwill on 12/13/10FedExForum - Memphis

This was a good show. My 10 year old son enjoyed it. He wished it had more magic though. That was his biggest reason for going. I enjoyed it also. Anyone that can train cats to do tricks is impressive to me! Cats, tabbies, not the lions, but they had those too.

It was very dim shadow of what the Greatest Show on Earth was the last time we saw it. Is this how all their shows are or is there one with all the pomp of the past?. Our grandchildren enjoyed it, but they had never been the circus before. We would recommend it for young children. We will not go again.

    Ringling Circus just barely ok!

    by 1mommyof2 on 12/13/10FedExForum - Memphis

I paid extra so my kids would have close seats, but I so wish I gotten the cheap seats! Then, I would have felt like I got my money's worth. Bottom line, get the cheap tickets. I have seen better shows done by them. Kids enjoyed it though.

The time and money spent on "so-called" bargan tickets was worth it. This was my first circus attentance outside the Midsouth Fair. Great family atmosphere. Nice and entertaining performers. It was nice to see clowns representing 20th and 21st century. Overall, I liked it. I thought it would be a lot bigger because of the previews on TV.

    The Ringlings would be embarassed

by SarasotaBornandRaised on 12/13/10FedExForum - Memphis

This Ringling Brothers Circus on this date was not up to standards. I've been to several of their circus performances since I was a kid and this one was a disappointment. This show was half or less of what it used to be and should be, and I was shocked to see that they only used one performance ring instead of three. This was not Ringling Brother quality and I'm embarrassed for them.

    Ringling Brothers Circus

by MeaMaw on 12/13/10Fed Ex Forum - Memphis

I was disappointed with the circus. When we took our children when they were young, it was a 3 ring circus and this one just had 1 ring. Not enough animals and too much of the trapeze stuff. Not enough clowns.....I mean come on....this is the circus and there should have been at least 10 or so....not just 2. I was lucky that this was my grandchildrens first time and so they didn't know any better. They really need to bring back the "3" ring circus and the clowns and the animals.....I mean come on dogs and a cat show....really. I thought it was very over priced. I could have used that $200 for better things.....I mean we could have gone to the zoo and seen more.

    worst circus ever

by Anonymous on 12/13/10Verizon Arena (formerly Alltel Arena) - North Little Rock

There were few animals, only one ring going. This was a terrible let down after having seen other circuses you have put on. Won't come back

    Disappointed Grandma

by TNnana on 12/13/10FedExForum - Memphis

I had hoped that we would see many of the thrills that I had seen as a child and my children had also seen when we took them to the circus many years ago. This circus was my grandson's first and I had told him about what he might see. We were disappointed that the clowns weren't very funny. One longer-than-necessary act from them was about all that we saw of the clowns. What happened to the funny faces and costumes they used to wear? Even their "act" wasn't "clown-like" and only mildly amusing. We saw none of the thrills that the circus used to bring. Where were the trapeze artists who used to swap bars with each other in the air? I guess now-a-days it is just one ring with performers who looked tired and danced as though they were robots. It's hard to choose the favorite thing we experienced at the circus. Maybe it was dropping our expensive program under the bleachers and having someone retrieve it for us. I doubt we'll be returning again or that my 6 yr. old grandson will even ask to go. So sad. :- (

    ILLUSCINATION was good

    by tootie45 on 12/13/10FedExForum - Memphis

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey : Illuscination was good. I remember it being better when I was a kid. What happened to the 3 ring circus? Why weren't the adult elephants used? Why didn't you have a woman on each elephant instead of just one of the elephants? My 5 year old commented to me, "Mom, those are baby elephants." The crowd seemed a bit quiet. It was almost like a church service at times. My son enjoyed it and that was what was important. It just seemed like there were too many budget cuts and the circus is not what it used to be. The lions also seemed small, maybe, undernourished. My suggestion, bring the back adult elephants, white tigers, women on each elephant, keep the crowd involved as much as possible to prevent boredom. I would still recommend it to others but I would tell the adults that it is not what it was when we were kids. Our kids don't remember the old 3 ring circus so that they can't compare it to today's. In closing, the show is good for kids. Adults, take your kids so they can enjoy and you enjoy the nachos, fries etc.
