About

Rihanna is nothing if not prolific. Since her 2005 debut, the 25-year-old singer has released seven albums and racked up twelve No. 1 singles, setting a record in the process as the solo artist with the fastest accumulation of ten chart-topping singles – a feat she accomplished in just under five years. A quick scroll through the radio dial will confirm that Rihanna is the most ubiquitous figure in Top 40 airplay, and considering her rapid-fire release schedule, it’s hardly a surprise that she recently edged out her idol Whitney Houston to become the artist with the ninth most Top 10 singles ever (24 in total). After hugely successful collaborations with Eminem in 2010 (“Love the Way You Lie”) and Drake in 2012 (Take Care), Rihanna scored her first U.S. No. 1 album with 2012’s Unapologetic, which includes the hugely successful “Diamonds” and “Stay.” Rihanna is shining bright in concert on the 2013 Diamonds World Tour -- opening acts 2 Chainz and A$AP Rocky are worth the ticket price alone.

Born in Barbados in 1988, Rihanna grew up listening to reggae and began singing at age seven. As a teen, her Caribbean-influenced demos attracted the attention of label execs, and in 2005 she auditioned for Jay-Z, signing a six-album record deal with Def Jam Recordings the same day. Her first two albums, Mother of the Sun (2005) and A Girl Like Me (2006), spawned hit singles “Pon De Replay” and chart-topper “S.O.S.,” but it wasn’t until “Umbrella,” from third album Good Girl Gone Bad (2007), that she cemented her place as a serious contender to the pop throne. Originally written for Britney Spears, “Umbrella” peaked at No. 1 and earned Rihanna her first Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. A string of platinum-selling albums would follow, including Loud (2010) and Talk That Talk (2011), both of which featured an increasingly dance-oriented sound, including chart-topping club anthems “Only Girl (In the World)” and “We Found Love.” After terminating her tumultuous on-again, off-again relationship with rapper Chris Brown, Rihanna released Unapologetic in 2013 to positive reviews – and a No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200.

  • Better than expected

by Anonymous on 4/13/16Royal Farms Arena (formerly Baltimore Arena) - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

Rihanna's performance was amazing! The vocals, the band, and lighting were superb. I can not wait until she goes on tour again. I'm really looking forward to seeing her again.

  • Whole experience was a bummer!

    by ElizabethR81 on 4/13/16TD Garden - BostonRating: 2 out of 5

Opening for Rihanna was Travis Scott, which was expected, but I didn't expect my 13 year old to have to hear about him getting "good Boston weed" as he put it and getting high before he came out, and telling people to light up. What type of message is that sending our kids? She asked me why he said that if it's illegal and why was he telling people to do it when it's illegal. Then Rihanna was an hour late coming out. That was disappointing as we were there for her. She apologized which was cool, but since we took the Amtrak there we still had to leave by 10:30. Just disappointed that we missed half her concert due to her late start.

  • Brighter than a Diamon, I love RiRi!

    by farenheight55 on 4/13/16TD Garden - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

And now another Farenheight concert review...yesterday I had the blessing to attend the Anti Tour featuring the ultimate goddess, Rhianna!! Omg so much fun!! Every hit song just made realize how much I grew up loving and jamming to this queens music!! Her powerful stage presence, great energy and that bad girl attitude, I was lit! She's so gorgeous, genuine and the fashion is on another level per usual #fierce I LOVED her dancers(the voguing though...child please, they killed it, we can all scream #yaaasss) and the production. I really appreciated at the end how they played credits(that's the first concert I've been at that they did that) which is so cool and important because it really takes a team to produce magic! Most of all, I thank Rhianna for inspiring me and uplifting my spirits. After a mixed week of emotions, this queen reminded me to "live my life" and "shine bright like a diamond"...the universe and God is so good to me, so blessed to be alive, well and on the continued pursuit to happiness thank you RhiRhi #fjlivinglife #year25 #antitour2016

  • Awesome as always

by Blueeee on 4/13/16Royal Farms Arena (formerly Baltimore Arena) - BaltimoreRating: 4 out of 5

Rihanna was awesome ! She was so good I bought tickets to a second show which was in Bmore . She was great even tho the arena itself is smaller than others I've been to ! That's actually a good thing tho because it means you'll be a little closer to the artist ! Don't wear heels & try not to get annoyed at the drunk people around u . You'll love it !

Rihanna was amazing live, loved the venue, loved the atmosphere

  • by Essmari on 4/13/16TD Garden - BostonRating: 3 out of 5

The concert itself was great... Travis Scott & Rihanna put on a great performance (individually)... but Rihanna was extremely late... the doors opened at 6:30 and she didn't come on stage until sometime after 10pm! Crazy. I'm not sure if I'd ever go to a Rihanna concert again.

  • Amazing

by MarkUltra on 4/13/16Royal Farms Arena (formerly Baltimore Arena) - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

It's all fun and games until she pops up right in front of you wearing boots that are somehow also some kinda chaps. Well designed to dazzle the senses. Legitimately shocking and risque at points. The lack of encore was sad, but they say you're supposed to leave them wanting more. Paying $12.50 for a shot of Henessey was also kinda sad.

  • Rihanna show disappointed

    by alphadog19 on 4/13/16TD Garden - BostonRating: 3 out of 5

Set list could have been much better. Best hits were done as very short medleys. She sounded awesome when you could hear her which was not often because she was drowned out.

  • Disappointed

by Dravens on 4/13/16TD Garden - BostonRating: 3 out of 5

This was a Christmas gift for a friend, we were so excited to see show, Rhianna came on an hour and a half late (did this last time in town from what I hear) and only played a short montage of the songs we came to hear. I am all for audience participation but I came to (and paid a lot of money) to hear Rhianna sing not the audience. The rest of the songs she sang were off the new album and unfortunately we didn't know them as much. I will say, her voice was beautiful and so was she. Just have to say this wasn't the best show I've been to and would not spend that kind of money to see her again. I will stick to iTunes!

  • Rihanna was amazing!

by Marade on 4/13/16TD Garden - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

I had a great time at the Rihanna concert. She was an amazing performer and really brought the house down.

  • Rihanna was AWESOME!!!

by DeShauna on 4/13/16TD Garden - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

She put on an amazing show! She didn't leave us hanging during costume changes at all. She was quick with changes and back out performing for us!

  • RIHANNA IS LIFE!

by ooitsNikkyoo on 4/13/16TD Garden - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

sum it up in a few words: INCREDIBLE. AMAZING. ONE HELL OF A PERFORMANCE!

  • Flawless!!

by Andreitaaa on 4/13/16TD Garden - BostonRating: 3 out of 5

Cannot deny the fact the she is an amazing singer!!! Blew my mind! I had a few issues with the performance. Did not do a good job transitioning from song to song. The stage was a little bland and boring. There also should have been more graphics to keep the audience engaged. The dancers were ok not great. And finally the concert felt rushed becaus

  • Worst concert I've ever been to

by notimpressedriri on 4/13/16TD Garden - BostonRating: 1 out of 5

I've been attending concerts of all different types, in all different places for years and years. Most of them I have purchased through ticketmaster and this Rihanna concert was by far the worst experience I've ever had. My friend and I have actually seen her at TD garden before (est. 2010) and she was fantastic. This time however, we didn't even get to see her. Who makes their fans wait over THREE HOURS until she comes out? The opening act was horrendous as well. Really Travis Scott? You come out after the DJ and perform three songs then disappear? I can't stress enough how incredibly disappointed I am. Rihanna, you're new album Anti is fantastic... But I won't be wasting my money on you anymore. Don't forget, it's the fans that have put you where you are.

  • Anti Rihanna

by Ohsosadandmad on 4/13/16TD Garden - BostonRating: 1 out of 5

Rihanna came out on stage about 1 1/2 hour after the previous act and proceeded to rush and cut songs short. Halfway thru 1 hour show she apologized and said she was late due to some scalding hot water issue? As entertaining as the show actually was, I was disappointed at her rushing thru the songs and performing a fast show that lasted barely over an hour. People pay too much money for these types of shows and they should be compensated fairly. Too late to get my money back, I know, but not happy.

  • by Anonymous on 4/13/16TD Garden - BostonRating: 1 out of 5

Excellent music but really 2 years in a row she shows up late.

  • Awesome!!

    by Larae15 on 4/13/16TD Garden - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Great show, entertaining from the beginning to the end!

  • A let down

by Anonymous on 4/13/16TD Garden - BostonRating: 2 out of 5

Travis Scott was the opening act. He's not a horrible performer, but he said the f word about 100 times and kept talking about weed and as an 18 year old (so around the target age) I thought it was getting annoying. Rihanna was an hour late and my sister and I had to leave early because we had to make the last train at 11:15. Missed most of it. When I left, I didn't have the urge to listen to her music right after like I have with Jcole, maroon 5, and Ed sheeran. Not their fault, but woman next to me kept smoking cigarettes which also ruined it.

  • by haiminahaimina on 4/13/16TD Garden - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

riri killed it! such a spectacular show. didn't even care that she came on late - she made up for it with every song she sang.
