Rihanna is nothing if not prolific. Since her 2005 debut, the 25-year-old singer has released seven albums and racked up twelve No. 1 singles, setting a record in the process as the solo artist with the fastest accumulation of ten chart-topping singles – a feat she accomplished in just under five years. A quick scroll through the radio dial will confirm that Rihanna is the most ubiquitous figure in Top 40 airplay, and considering her rapid-fire release schedule, it’s hardly a surprise that she recently edged out her idol Whitney Houston to become the artist with the ninth most Top 10 singles ever (24 in total). After hugely successful collaborations with Eminem in 2010 (“Love the Way You Lie”) and Drake in 2012 (Take Care), Rihanna scored her first U.S. No. 1 album with 2012’s Unapologetic, which includes the hugely successful “Diamonds” and “Stay.” Rihanna is shining bright in concert on the 2013 Diamonds World Tour -- opening acts 2 Chainz and A$AP Rocky are worth the ticket price alone.
Born in Barbados in 1988, Rihanna grew up listening to reggae and began singing at age seven. As a teen, her Caribbean-influenced demos attracted the attention of label execs, and in 2005 she auditioned for Jay-Z, signing a six-album record deal with Def Jam Recordings the same day. Her first two albums, Mother of the Sun (2005) and A Girl Like Me (2006), spawned hit singles “Pon De Replay” and chart-topper “S.O.S.,” but it wasn’t until “Umbrella,” from third album Good Girl Gone Bad (2007), that she cemented her place as a serious contender to the pop throne. Originally written for Britney Spears, “Umbrella” peaked at No. 1 and earned Rihanna her first Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. A string of platinum-selling albums would follow, including Loud (2010) and Talk That Talk (2011), both of which featured an increasingly dance-oriented sound, including chart-topping club anthems “Only Girl (In the World)” and “We Found Love.” After terminating her tumultuous on-again, off-again relationship with rapper Chris Brown, Rihanna released Unapologetic in 2013 to positive reviews – and a No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200.

I thought I'd get to see another side of RiRi I'm obsessed with the anti Album thought we'd get most of it but instead it's about 1 min of each song mixed with tons of other songs I just wanted to jam to anti so bad
WOWOWOWO. Incredible! It speaks volume that this was the fastest selling show on the tour! THE VOCALS, THE STAGE, THE DANCERS, RIHANNA, ALL OF IT = absolutely amazing!!! I will do whatever it takes to see her each and every time from here on out. If you thought ANTI was "slow" or whatever, prepare to have your edges snatched!!!!
Rihanna is great... I love her, but... I have seen the past 4 tours and this was easily the least inspired one. As the Anti theme has suggested, the album is toned down, and the tour is toned down. I assume this was an attempt at being artistic or edgy, but, imo, it came off as lazy. Rihanna's Loud tour still ranks as the best arena show I have ever seen... it had everything you would want in an arena show. By contrast, this one was very minimalist and boring. The loss of Nuno was pretty clear in the guitar, though hard to fault her that musicians have many conflicts to work through. The bigger loss was in the stage set up, where she did have full control. While it featured one effect I had never seen before that was relatively cool, the rest was quite ho hum and whitewashed (you will know what I mean if you saw it). As usual, Rihanna let either backup singers or backing tracks handle vocal parts regularly, but with the show so minimalist, it sort of highlighted that aspect to make it stand out more awkwardly. There was also no encore (which is a bit ridiculous for an artist with so many hits). All in all, if the show was to be minimalistic, the prices should have been as well. I went in with a low expectation after seeing how the early shows looked on YouTube... and honestly, the show exceeded my expectations, but still stayed in the realm of disappointing. Granted, like I said, Rihanna herself set the bar so high in the past that a show like this just screams a lack of effort. Rihanna is/was still quite good but it was a notable large step back from her better work. I hope she gets over the "anti" phase much sooner than later!!!
Amazed show! She killed my number 3 show of riri !
I had the best time at Anti World Tour. Rihanna puts on such a great show!!! The staff at the United Center were great as well, they were friendly and respectful. It made our experience that much better. I didn't want it to end!!!!!!
Rihanna was amazing I was shining bright like a diamond.
Very disappointing. The weeknd is no longer part of the tour and they haven't replaced him with another act so there was a hour of nothing after Travis scott. Then rihanna was an hour late for whatever reason and didn't really make up for it at all. You'd think since she had to cut 2 minutes of each song in order to get every song in, that she would at least sing the whole of each song, but no. She sang maybe half of the time, didn't even try lip syncing, just plain not singing. I think I sang more than she did that night. Totally not worth $170.
Our tics were right were she opened up the concert. It was amazing she is beautiful.
Although I kind of expected it, the break between Travis Scott and Rihanna was excessively long. When she did arrive through the walkway in the back of the arena it was definitely worth the wait. The show was creative with numerous wardrobe changes, sets, etc. Her dancers were amazing! Some of her songs the band overpowered her voice but she sounded great singing ballads such as Stay, Diamonds, and FourFive Seconds. She did not waste time with an encore which I thought was great since I have always hated that dumb tradition. Glad we went!
Rihanna was awesome and amazing! What a great concert !!
The Anti World Tour was great!!! Travis Scott did his thing with getting the crowd hyped!! Rihana is an extraordinary talented entertainer. Your a bad girl RiRi!! We love you!!
She only sang a little over an hour. I wish she had gone longer. She did apologize for making us wait an hour after the opener, but it would have been nice if she had made up the time by performing more.
The concert was in one word AWESOME! Had a good time
This concert was one of the best i've attended. Rihanna is an amazing performer. I've been to dozens of big name concerts and this one ranked right up there at the top. i highly recommend it.
Rihanna is fantastic live. I wasn't a fan of the opening act, but there wasn't one performance of Rihanna's that I didn't enjoy. She even played some of her older stuff which was great!
I'm a huge fan of Rihanna but it was an average concert or might I say performance. A lot of my friends wasn't really expecting for her concert to be breath taking and entertaining. But, I feel at this point she needs to step her game up. I pay good money to support her. Hell, I even have a tidal account. The songs that I saw her perform else where she did not do in Baltimore. For example pose one of my favvvssss. I was disappointed. It was very mediocre and she only performed for 70 minutes, if that smh. The last time she came she was an hour late coming to the stage. She say's she love Bmore but I dnt think she fully gives us a show. Next, time I will just listen to the album instead.
Rihanna sound Good and looked Great and very professional and still talking sh** My Girl, Go Head & "Bust it!"
I can do without the opening act (it was dark and I don't know what he rapped the entire time), but people loved his energy. Rihanna improved a lot from the first tour. Still love her and think that she is awesome. The show had a lot of energy. I would see her again, of course.
This isn't my first Rihanna concert but this was a memorable one. For the first time her production wasn't over the top, it was big, yet simple. Allowing her voice and showmanship to really shine through and she was incredible.
