    "my dream comes true" moment

    by k. s. on 10/8/19Whitaker Center - Harrisburg

He answered to my questions twice. A long explanation why there will be no reunion with Steve Howe which understandable. Took a photo with me in front of the grand piano. He signed on all my memorabilia, including a poster which I had on the wall for 42 years. This is the experience of his meet and greet, one hour session. Pricey but every penny was worth it. His performance was phenomenal. His talk between the music was so funny at two hour solo show. (total three hours if you go for meet and greet. there's a break so you can have a dinner)

A wonderful night of music and entertainment!

by Matt C. on 10/6/19Whitaker Center - Harrisburg

Rick is so worth the ticket price as he gives not only a superb musical performance but also tells some great stories from his many years in the music business. In an era with music that is so basic, it is a treasure to see and experience a top tier musician who has dedicated his life to creative music. If Rick is coming to your city, make the time to see him live!

A delightful evening with a talented musician!

by JayVee on 10/5/19Whitaker Center - Harrisburg

Rick's concert far-exceeded my expectations! He introduced all the songs he played with jokes and anecdotes. (He's really quite funny!) I was introduced to so many tunes he was a session musician on accompanying Cat Stevens, David Bowie and more.

    Wonderful show

by Yeshultz on 10/5/19Whitaker Center - Harrisburg

Rick Wakeman is an extremely talented showman. He has a God given gift as a keyboardist but it doesn’t end there (as if that isn’t enough). His story telling rivals anyone I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. It is funny, touching and heartfelt. His love for his dad, granddad and the debt he feels he owes them proves that. I would love to see him again sometime. Thanks for a wonderful evening Rick!

by Daniel on 10/2/19The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Wakeman at his best, what more can be said. The music was incredible, and the banter was top quality. Honestly just a barrel of laughs. Great job Rick, love the Piano albums and tour, please keep it up.

A delightful evening of stories, humour and music.

by Brian on 10/2/19The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Rick is touring as 'one man, one piano'. If you read his biographies you will learn that he is close friends with a number of British comics. It shows.

    Wonderful Show

by Mike on 10/1/19The Wilbur - Boston

The show was wonderful! He is a magical pianist...I guess that’ why the moniker...”the wizard.” An intermission may have been nice however? But no complaints!

    Enjoyable evening.

by Ruunning Rabbit on 9/30/19Birchmere - Alexandria

I enjoyed seeing Rick Wakeman again. He interspersed his performances with jokes and anecdotes. He only played on the piano. I think that he actually talked more that he played. I would have preferred a little more music and a little less talk and perhaps a variety of keyboards.

    Incredibly Amazing Day!

by Ivan Izaguirre on 9/29/19The Paramount - Huntington

I met Rick Wakeman in person. We spoke about the Moog, the organ used in Parllels, and his years in Yes. He played the most amazing piano I’ve ever heard! Thanks Great Architect of the Universe for this day I’ll remember forever!!!

    master pianist, musician & rock&roller

by wakeman on 9/28/19Birchmere - Alexandria

I've seen Rick in many live concerts, from Yes to his solo shows and it's always a joy to listen to his funny stories and his incredible playing. Last of a unforgettable musical generation that included Keith Emerson and Keith Jarrett.

    A Fun-Filled Night

by Jake on 9/28/19Birchmere - Alexandria

We know Mr. Wakeman is an artist, who can play the keyboards with the best. And he did not disappoint. But his talent as a teller of tales is equally impressive. A very enjoyable evening. The Birchmere is a cultural treasure in the metropolitan area.

    A solid, known, wonderful experience

    by Jimj1s on 9/28/19Birchmere - Alexandria

I'm admittedly a long-time uber-fan of Rick Wakeman, since he sprang onto the scene - with YES and with his solo work. I have seen his grand performances and his solo tours many times, and I never tire of seeing this master live :) This is a pretty canned solo show, well scripted, and turned out expertly. Even though many fans have heard the jokes, we laugh all the same - because a - they are still funny, and b - he just delivers them so dang well! Of course, the ultimate treat is Rick's playing - both his original compositions and his treatments of other music - Bowie, Cat Stevens, Beatles, Classical Composers. What a joy to listen to those fingers work their magic. What a joy to hear Merlin the Magician, Dance of a Thousand Lights, Is there Life on Mars, and so much wonderful music. Just a joy. I hope to see many more shows. Thank you, Rick :)

    Great night

    by Lindy207 on 9/28/19Birchmere - Alexandria

First the Birchmere is a terrific place for a show. Rick Wakeman, His piano, Great setlist, Funny stories. No need to go into just how talented a piano player he is. Already known. His sense of humor is what surprised us! Funny! Played some classical, Cat Stevens, Bowie, Yes, Beatles, and his solo material. We Loved the show! We would see him again! So Go!
