    What a Celebration!

by JFR3 on 6/3/13IZOD Center - East Rutherford

It was great to hear the music that I grew up with (and still love). Granted, the performers looked different - but so did most of the audience! Not all of the audience was "oldies" - there were some "young people" sitting behind us who weren't even born when the songs that we were listening to were on popular radio (WABC -77 AM). Gene Chandler was, by far, the best performer of the evening! What a showman - he performed better than many people 20-30 years younger. His "Duke of Earl" - with an off-stage entrance through the floor seats was pitch-perfect and brought the audience to its feet.!

    Doo Wop Show was amazing

by KLAS on 6/15/11IZOD Center - East Rutherford

This show was amazing, funny, and such a happy time. It was great to see a lot of the "older" groups and performers that still sound the same from so long ago. We were most impressed with Jay Black. He is funny and a true artist. The Crest's were another group that made the show so memorable. All the groups performed to the highest expectation! Myself and friends would all recommend this show to anyone who loves classic cars and classic sounds!

by 102heart on 6/13/11IZOD Center - East Rutherford

Very taken back at the lack of attendance. The show was super they just get better as they age. I just hope they still keep having these shows. The Duprees great. I think the passing of Johnny Mastro sadden us all . A great entertainer and a great man.

    A Truely Enjoyable Evening

by JustinTyme624 on 6/13/11IZOD Center - East Rutherford

Just the perfect size dose of 7 Doowop legends intro'd the the heart touching performance of 15 year old Amanda Nikka. All acts were timed out "Short and Sweet". Not once did I catch myself looking at my watch nor fidgeting in my seat. Not one performer dissapointed! The show had the perfect climax with the immortle Jay Black. I can never get tired of seeing this guy who's without a doubt my favorite male vocalist. But its not just Jay's singing but his stage presence altogether. He is just such an all around entertainer!

Richard Nader's Summer Doowop was just great!

by RoRo22 on 6/13/11IZOD Center - East Rutherford

I have gone to this show faithfully for the last ten years and each year its seems to get better and better. Great perfomances - best music of our lifetime - makes you feel like a teenager again. I look forward to it each year and hope Debrah Nader will continue this tradition in memory of her late husband, Richard. Excellent!!!!

    Concert was great

by Savannah on 6/13/11IZOD Center - East Rutherford

I loved all the performers. The only one that was not up to the standard of the others was Johnny Thunder.

If you like Doowop music, this was an enjoyable concert. The acts were older, but most of them could still really sing. They did a good job.

Summer Doowop was a sock hop blast

by diamond31116 on 6/13/11IZOD Center - East Rutherford

Doowop Reunion XXll, was a blast from the past indeed. I was taking down memory lane to flying on cloud nine. My husband and I feel in love all over again. We brought our 10 year old grandson he thought that Kenny Vance and the platones were really cool. The brooklyn bridge, Jay Black, The Duprees, All the groups that was present just completely blew me away. We really enjoyed ourselves, afterwards we went to stewarts because, they bring your food to the car like in the old days. That was the topping to a great evening

    75% Doowop

by 7Dave on 6/13/11IZOD Center - East Rutherford

This should not have been called a doowop concert- less than 75% was doowop. It more accurately was an oldies concert. Even the main event-Jay Black- is definitely not a doowop singer, nor for that matter are the Duprees or the girl group ( Chiffons? - I forget). Doesn't Mrs. Nader know the difference? Where did they dig up Johnny Thunder - he was awful. The highlights for me were the Planatones and the Duprees.

THE SHOW WAS EVERYTHING I WANTED AND MORE. ONLY ONE PROBLEM, THE BOX ONTHE LEFT OF OUR SEATS WERE VERY LOUD AND WE COMPLAINED AND NO ONE DID ANYTHING TILL THE SECOND PART OF THE SHOW. BUT ALL IN ALL IT WAS GREAT. I HAVE BEEN A JOHNNY MAESTRO FAN FOR OVER 40 YEARS AND SEEING THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE WITH FREDDY AND LES BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES. THANK-YOU FOR HAVING THEM

    Awesome show!

by katrod on 6/13/11IZOD Center - East Rutherford

We have had tickets to two shows previously and were unable to attend. This was our first one and it will not be the last. The performers were top notch. Jay Black stole the show of course, especially with Cara Mia. Unbelievable. I was sorry when it was over.

    The whole show was awesome!!!!

by jwoman4 on 6/13/11IZOD Center - East Rutherford

I've seen Richard Nader's Summer Doowop concerts before and they are amazing. I would like this show to go out in the Alantic City area some time like in one of the casinos. I would go there in a heartbeat.
