    Great show!

by melogee on 7/6/09House of Blues Boston - Boston

Richard Cheese is definitely entertaining. Most shows make people feel out of place if they're not familiar with the artist, but you will find none of that here. He's a hornball so if you like good dirty fun, then you will definitely appreciate his humor. Bobby Ricotta is my new hero.

Richard Cheese sets the bar as entertainer

by grublettevan on 7/3/09House of Blues Boston - Boston

Love his recorded music, and his live show was beyond expectations. Cheese's comfortable command of the large crowd and seeming insider knowledge of the Boston culture made the performance seem really intimate. And, hey, topless burlesque girls!

    Got Cheese?

by cheesehead26 on 7/3/09House of Blues Boston - Boston

Richard Cheese is a extraordinary stage presence that puts everything he has into the performance. Costume changes, coming through the audience, interaction with people, and more. The music was great and the crowd was hot.

Closer, Creep, Billie Jean, Milkshake, Brass Monkey, You Shook Me All Night Long, Gin and Juice, Baby Got Back, Three's Company, Sponge Bob Square Pants, the theme to Cheers and an hour and a half more. This is the best show I've seen in a decade.

    What an entertainer!

by Max15 on 7/2/09House of Blues Boston - Boston

I turned up to this show expecting a good fun evening but did not expect such an amazing night of hilarity. Richards interaction with the crowd was great and very funny and the band were awesome. I reccomend to go and see this show if you have the chance before its too late!

    Dick was more than anticipated

by squidz on 7/2/09House of Blues Boston - Boston

This was an amazing show, I went expecting Richard Cheese to sing, not put on a whole performance. Definitely worth seeing, even if your not crazy about his music.

Richard Cheese is the master of lounge sketchiness

by lifeinabox on 7/2/09House of Blues Boston - Boston

Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine was, as hoped, a 50/50 mix of sketchy standup and awesome covers. I laughed and cheered straight through the show, and the friend I was with did too, once she got over the initial shock. Cheese started the show by demanding that only women stand in the front, so we squeezed up through the crowd and had a great vantage point for all his classics: Get Down With the Sickness, Buddy Holly, Another Brick in the Wall....and his new TV theme song covers, which were great.

    Richard Cheese Swings!

by PEZZY on 7/2/09House of Blues Boston - Boston

This show was really everything I expected and more! Of course he sang the best songs from his CD's, plus some new ones, but he also had tons of audience participation plus a couple dance numbers! He sounds just as good in person as he does on the CD's. Funny, funny guy!

    I've had better

by Penicillan on 7/2/09House of Blues Boston - Boston

I've seen the Cheese man both times that he has come to Boston, and have to say that this was the worst performance. The first time was a good expirence, maybe because I was not expecting a lot, but this one was not too good.

    Enjoy the cheese!

by docw on 7/2/09House of Blues Boston - Boston

I first came across Richard Cheese's cover of "Down with the Sickness" in the remake of Dawn of the Dead and tracked them down from there. Since then I've been an avid listener of the swankified versions of rap, rock, and pop songs that Dick croons out with his talented band. When I saw he was playing Boston I leaped to order the tickets. The show was great, opening act Natalie Gelman has an incredible voice and did some popular covers in a different style. Main event Dick was playing a mix of classics like "Baby got back" as well as some new stuff like the Imperial March from Star Wars in a lounge stylee. Yes, really. Great banter with the audience too and a fun crowd. Nice venue too, will definitely be coming back to the House of Blues!

    Royale with Cheese

by GregtheBunny on 7/2/09House of Blues Boston - Boston

Perhaps its the tiger print tux, or maybe it's the repeated pick up lines and sexual references. It could be the burlesque girl striptease or the phenomenal keyboard playing of Bobby Ricotta. Maybe it was the fact that you knew every song, but had never heard them quite like this. For whatever reason, this was a show that went beyond comedy and parody and actually created an evening experience that surpassed most "regular" shows. The sound and lighting were great and the venue was the perfect size to let people dance and mingle while not seeming empty. It's a shame that Dick is going to stop touring, but if for some reason he's around your town, go see him! You will be glad you did.

    Great show

by vman83 on 7/2/09House of Blues Boston - Boston

Cheese was hilarious, band provided a good rhythm. Songs were funny, and inter-crowd conversation made it a comedy show.
