This RICC was well run. They seem to improve it each year. The hotel, convention center and hockey rink being interconnected really is a positive thing. I like seeing the folks dressed in Cosplay. It would be nice to have more seating in all areas. Sometimes you just need to sit down. Great job in general.
I enjoyed the event, but it definitely seems a bit unorganized/inefficient compared to other conventions. It may be that the size has outgrown the space or the space is not utilized well. I felt like hallways and walkways were not wide enough to accommodate the number of people. The expo floor seemed cramped, and I wonder if there could’ve been a bigger space for it- or move the celebrities/photo ops from the expo floor to another area. I purchased a VIP ticket, but never found the VIP lounge (and I was given different information from three volunteers). Overall, I think RICC is still “young,” and I look forward to seeing it evolve & continue to grow.
Every year it gets a little bit more organized. The photo ops are better organized with less waiting in lines. The only lines that were delayed was the walking dead, will probably have to work in that with so many people involved in the group pic vs individuals. The autograph tables were excellent. Little to no wait time. Keeps getting better! We had a great time!
