The best concert I ever went to with my parents. I new the music of Kapena, Braddah Walttah, and Braddah Fiji cause of my parents. But, the original Kapena, THE BOMB. My parents went to every concert of there's, and own every cd that they made. When they where younger, and as growing up, me and my siblings started listening to them. It was so nice to see them back together. Great concert!
The Original Kapena concert was The Most Awesomest concert ever!! The other bands that played was awesome, awesome, awesome! That evening, you heard what real music was! So chicken skin! Hope Kapena decides to another Hana Hou concert again! I will definitely be there! Thank you Kapena for a memorable, chicken skin night listening to all the original songs!! Thank you to the Kapena Kids for being the next generation & for following in their Dads' footsteps!!
Grew up listening to Kapena even when they were performing on WindJammers. My brother was the Captain on that boat and we always to used to go just to hear/see them live! Love them and wish this wasn't their last concert.
Kapena and the kids of Kapena were awesome. Braddah Waltah and Mana'o company were a classic combination. HOWEVER, FIJI was Crazy Knuckle TERRIBLE.... This is the third concert that Fiji has played at and he pulls the same old BS, play a few songs and dig out and the Hana Hou is a half a song, SO LAME! He should have been the opening act... Kapena took care and used the rest of the time Fiji left to rock the mike! Mahalo! Well worth the ticket price... Aloha
I very much enjoyed the concert and loved my seats that I reserved. Awesome concert. Missed the first two performance but all in all 5 star. I wish there could have been more available parking.
Kapena Amazing Hana Hou! Loved the energy and all the dance performances. True entertainment! Wish it could happen next year!
The most awesome concert put on by Hawaii's Finest. Great music, great vibe, brought back great memories. All the entertainers put on a first class performance. Ease of entering the venue was smooth. VIP area was great.
Honestly the most intimate I've seen a band connect to its fans. Everyone that performed nailed it, but Kapena, The Orginal Kapena. There is no comparison. They just picked up right where they left it on the stage. I am so grateful I was able to experience this event the way I did. I felt like family.
I knew we had good tickets, but when I printed them we had first row center! There were a couple of things that were problematic. The biggest was the beverages. There was no bar per say. There was beer & wine. They did have margaritas, but you had to stay in a fenced in area! I had front row seats! I didn't want to stand far back to have my drink! Tequila causes me chest pain! I've attended hundreds of events at this venue in the past & always could bring my drinks to my seat! This would cause many to sneak in liquor! Another problem was the people that rushed up front during the last band. They climbed on cement in front of us blocking our view. We paid to see the bands not the backsides of fans dancing! Now for the good! The talent was huge. I see this as a second in a new kind of concert with Back in the Day being the first. Rather than 1 or 2 bands there were many bands! It's wonderful to see so much talent in one concert! I love it! I will continue to attend & enjoy more concerts like this one!
For some reason, the sound system sucked. It was hard to hear the music and made the concert less enjoyable. But, who can go wrong with artists like Fiji, Maoli, and Ekolu?
