Best way to get tickets. Easy to use. Great process. Always a good experience
Would have liked them to at least do Mother Russia or Ashes are Burning Running Hard was great I'm spoiled - I saw them in Carnegie Hall twice
A good show but I really wanted to hear all the classic songs. Isn’t that what a legacy show is all about?
I love Renaissance, but Annie & her band only played for 01:35h, plus she didn't even sing her #1 hit, "Ashes Are Burning" & she also didn't even sing "Mother Russia." I was so disappointed. We were looking forward to those two songs. You have to ask yourself what the heck is going on with so many groups performing for a very short time lately. What a damn shame.
I have seen Renaissance more times than I can remember. The selection of songs left much to be desired. On a positive note Annie's voice was excellent. However, this will be the last time I will see them in concert.
Another outstanding performance by Renaissance, with the added sound of the chamber orchestra.
Good Show great Venue, after seeing the bands multiple times since 1976 ,one realizes that growing older doesn't mean you loose your passions and the musicians on stages proved it. Annie was great her voice has changed over the 5 decades shes has been the heart of the band, she can still hit the high notes, and while we all remember the freshness of our younger experiences in life and music, getting older doesn't mean you have to quit at what you do well. Its too bad that Classical Rock and Progressive music has a limited appeal these days with today's youth preferring the simple percussion drone of Hip hop and rap over the real skills of lyric writing and instrumentation from the likes of Progressive sounds from groups such as Yes, Genesis, Led Zeppelin and Renaissance. Today's Renaissance of 2019 is still viable. Many Progressive bands wish they could say the same thing
Music was spot on! Annie’s voice was divine! Some new music, super instrumental was ok. Not our favorite! Fun place! Shame we couldn’t take pics. I would think Renaissance would want social media coverage!
Outstanding show from start to finish! Vocals, band and orchestra combined to give an excellent performance. Well thought selection of songs from their long history. Theater beautiful, well maintained.
I haven’t seen them in prob 18 yrs, and once again, Annie sang her bone-tingling notes to perfection. The band was tight, energetically enthusiastic and engaging as always! They are truly a magical experience for any musical enthusiast!! Do NOT miss them in your area, even if you aren’t familiar with them, because you will be a fan for life after their first song! Bravo, band!! I love you all!
The musicians were top notch and the instrumentals were fabulous. Sad to say, though, talented Annie Haslam was disappointing. I have huge respect for her, giving it all she’s got, but she’s flat, pitchy, off key and misses notes. The audience gave her repeated standing ovations though, so perhaps I just heard it differently.
I was lucky enough to be checking the Count Basie Website in July and saw that Renaissance was playing in October. The last time I saw them was 10 years ago. I jumped on the opportunity to see them again. The magical sounds brought me back to a time when I was first introduced to this band in the 70's and was forever hooked. Annie's virtuoso voice is still strong after 50 years. Wow! I shared this show with two old friends who are fans as well. Great night, in a great venue that will long be remembered.
One of the most magnificent live performances I have ever seen, and I've been around for 70 years and seen all the great bands. However, the only thing that detracted was the fact that 2 tweeters in the house sound system were buzzing terribly. Highly recommended that anyone who enjoys progressive rock see Renaissance live.
The band and 10 piece orchestra played excellently just like a fine symphony orchestra. Annie Haslam's voice still sounds amazing. She no longer has her five octave range. Annie sometimes sings notes just a bit flat, particularly when she holds notes at the top of her range which diminished the music and was hard in one's ears and made me wince. I kept thinking she needed live autotune technology fix this. Hardcore fans did not seem to care, and at intermission people said she had sung worse in recent shows. Age has affected Annie, but her fans still love her regardless.
Wait to see them again. Hopeful soon. Voice of an angel...
Great music and musicianship. Annie's voice has really deteriorated - she can't hold the notes on key much anymore and many fall out of tune. But it's Annie, and it's great to let the brain fill in the missing pieces. Still well worth the price of admission.
performance was very good - chamber orchestra was outstanding touch - setlist was disappointing, especially not performing Mother Russia, which I saw had been part of the set list at other shows on this tour
The Town Hall venue was a very intimate setting and there wasn't a bad seat in the house. Annie Haslam--wow! How she can keep singing with such perfection on a 50th Anniversary tour is nothing short of amazing! I was so happy that I was able to attend. What a great show! I highly recommend the show to all!
Town Hall is wonderful, Renaissance have a great performance. Beautiful music in a beautiful venue!
