Excellent performance. Good venue. On street parking a little difficult
Like many, I happened upon Reina Del Cid as a YouTube artist during the pandemic, where she created a Sunday series of new music and mostly covers with her amazing guitarist Toni Lindgren. Reina's live set has all the charm and humor of her videos with a full band and a deeper dive into her excellent song catalog. While the venue (The Moroccan Lounge) is top-notch with pristine sound, the fog machine was a little heavy at times. Like in "there's a wall of fog and somewhere behind it, the band is still playing."
My first time at the Moroccan and my first time seeing Reina Del Cid. Doors opened late(was starting to think about just bailing on the show) and the show started late. Despite those things Rachelle, Toni and the band were great! This was the first show of their tour. The room was great(not too packed) and the audience was very supportive. The music was great. I loved the interaction with the audience(there is always one person who yells "Freebird.") I love Rachelle's voice, but it was a blast to see Toni play guitar. It's one thing to see her play on youtube, but in person, she rocks! Even if you don't know about Reina Del Cid, I would suggest seeing them in person.
Surreal! I first saw her on YouTube and followed her career since...and to see her live and in person..... highlight of my year!!
