Regina Belle's first song she sang was a cover. She didn't sound good at all. I left 45 minutes into her singing. The opening act, Gary Taylor, was singing nursery rhymes. This concert was a waste of time and money.
My first time viewing and listening to Regina live in concert was very good. The band Phase II may not have been totally in sync with Regina but that did not matter to me because they are an awesome band that played excellently. Regina herself was outstanding her tribute to Soul music legends to paved the way for her and during her exceptionally moving performances of "He's Alright" and "Be Careful Out There" both from her 2016 album "The Day Life Began." One point she made in between songs is that she cannot sing as hard as she used to. Given that she started signing professionally the mid 1980's, I understood that. That point she made did show a little bit in some songs which required a slightly over the top delivery such as "A Night Of Love", "If I Could" and "Make It Like It Was." Aside from that from a few very loud concert goers who repeatedly made song requests from her first two albums "All By Myself" and "Stay With Me", I have no other criticisms about the concert. Regina's two background singers are awesome as well! Should the opportunity come again, I would attend her concert again.
Regina Belle was simply amazing. Pure talent. My omly wish was that she sung all of her hits in their entirety as well as her new material. I loved her tribute to the musical mentors that came before her!!
Acoustics were really bad, unusual for B.B. Kings. The sound board guys weren't doing their job or the band just wasn't "with it", I couldn't tell. In any case, there was no connection between the band & Ms. Bell and neither was good. Also Ms. Bell did a lot of nostalgic chumming with the audience which I considered padding. We walked out. The food was good, but the drinks were a total rip-off even for Manhattan. I had a "double" Knob Creek for $24 that was way smaller than a standard drink at a good restaurant out on Long Island. Don't be surprised if people start bringing flasks into the place. I sure will next time.
This show was well worth the money. Regina Belle did her thing. I enjoyed it with my wife. Her performance was breath taking.

I saw her back in Late October at the Motor City in Detroit, MI. She was the special guest of Peabo Bryson and I did not want her to leave the stage. I drove to Detroit From Bloomington, IL just to see her! Now she'll be 47 miles from me and I can't wait!
I love Ms. Regina...I wanted more and more -- I thought Ms. Phyllis H., Angela B. and/or Ms. Jean Carne were going to hit the stage after Ms. Belle. I love it it!!
The show was amazing! Regina sang all of her hits from back in the day, i.e. "Make It Like It Was", "A Whole New World" and "Baby Come To Me" - but the song that ministered and uplifted me the most was a gospel song called: "I Hope He Understands". If you missed seeing her in concert, you missed it cos the girl is back!
Regina's voice was rich and powerful as always. She is always full of energy and gives the crowd her all. Really enjoyed the show and I try to catch her whenever she is in town. Come on back soon girl!!!!
Great show, if Regina Belle comes to your city, please go and see the show you will not be sorry. Her voice is great and she is very personal with the audience. Great time was had by call
Regina Belle was filling in for Freddie Jackson who had to cancel due to illness... My date and I were a little leery at first... We booked a night out and decided to keep it... What an incredible suprise!! She was absolutely fabuous. Her energy level was high powered from beginning to end. We walked out of BBKings saying if she was in town again we would surely go see her. I had forgotten some of her songs but when she performed them... they all came right back and I sang along with her... My favorite was "If I Could" A wonderful night out with Regina Belle!!! You will not be disappointed!!
I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED WHEN I RECEIVED AN EMAIL THAT REGINA BELLE WOULD BE REPLACING FREDDIE JACKSON. ALTHOUGH I WISH FREDDIE TO GET WELL SOON I WAS MORE EXCITED FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE REGINA ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES! SHE WAS ALL I IMAGINED SHE WOULD BE AND MORE! NOT VERY PLEASED WITH BB KINGS FOOD PRICE AND QUALITY. TO HAVE A BILL OF 196.00 FOR TWO PEOPLE AND STILL BE HUNGRY WAS SHAMEFUL. WILL EAT BEFORE I GO NEXT TIME!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the show from beginning to end. She reached out into the audience and made it us feel like we were a part of the show and she sang some of my favorites with such passion. Absolutely loved the show, would see her again.
I have been a fan of Regina Belle for a long time and finally had the opportunity to see her live and in intimate setting. It was as if she was singing to me. She was phenomenal!!!
I have been a fan of Regina Belle for years. This was my first time seeing her perform after a few years of being away from the business. The show was fantastic. She still have that voice.
Regina Belle delivers an all out performance at a small venue giving the listener a personal experience with the artist. From start to finish, she gives everyone what they want. Regina Belle demonstrated her versatility in her musical stylings from sultry jazz influenced picks to airy ballads and of course, Disney movie soundtracks like, "A Whole New World" and her latest work in the gospel genre. Through her selection of songs that she performed, she was able to showcase her range to deliver a multi dimensional and an audience engaging show.
Belle turned out not only to be a great singer, but a wonderful performer as well. Great set of music. And the short ribs and purple potato salad not bad either.
She still has the same beautiful voice, she still sings with the same soulfulness, but she spent the entire first portion of the concert singing a couple gospel tunes. There is nothing wrong with gospel, but that wasn't what I came to hear. She sang a portion of a couple hits, and closed with her biggest hit. It was okay, but I won't be spending money to see her again.
The show started promptly..Regina is an awesome singer.
