Main stage was great nice venue. Second stage was nice and intimate. Third stage sucked. No seating and on hot black top.

    Jeff Foxworhty great job!!

by blueeyes71 on 5/29/14Circuit of The Americas - Austin

I was there all three days and enjoyed the shows and music. My friends and I couldn't believe who was there. There could be more shade my some umbrellas. I think the music stages should be closer together. It was boring during the change of the venue so I think you should have the comics come out and entertain us while they are changing. Thank you for letting this happen

    Boom there it is....i

by JoeWilly69 on 5/29/14Circuit of The Americas - Austin

The bands were great, the venue was amazing as the sound was the best I have heard in an out door setting! Skynyrd was tight and sounded better than I expected, Tim McGraw was less of the showman that I thought he would be, although he hit all the songs that we listen to on the radio.... but played WAY TO LATE! Florida Georgia Line...yeah these good ole boys just threw it down and pretty much made folks think...TIm old man who??? All in all the main stage had the acts to hold you there the whole time. Rodney is Rodney thus understand why he played late night Friday. Larry and Jeff did a great job!

    Can't wait until next year!

by purplehotcheeks on 5/29/14Circuit of The Americas - Austin

The bands were great. The only complaints I have: parking I paid for was changed and I ended up parking in different places/lots every time and not once the lot I paid for; the pricing on food/drinks was ridiculous & we had no choice unless we wanted to starve/thirst to death-you should monitor/decrease the pricing of food and drink prices...especially the water; lawn chairs were a big issue...we were told they were not allowed but then others had them. Same as umbrella's-it WAS raining at times!; last but not least the general lawn area needs to be watched for rude/drunk disturbing people-we had people kicking us and talking loudly amongst themselves during comedian acts so we could only hear part of the act. Who do you complain to??

    Not bad for 1st year

by RockNRagin on 5/29/14Circuit of The Americas - Austin

this was a big event endeavor and the 1st year. so overall well done and put on. I think as it matures it will get better as they figure out what to fine tune and tweak. a big venue with a lot of ground to cover. Blackberry Smoke would have totally rocked the house for country rock artists. maybe next year. would be nice not to charge $4-4.50 for a bottle of water that cost $0.25. it's one thing to make a profit, it's another to steal it.

Everything was great but the prices on the beverages and food. $9 for a beer and $12 for a small frozen pizza is highway robbery. I also did not like the all the small booths trying to sell you a timeshare or take your money from "games" to win prizes. Take away all the vendor thieves and this concert would be great.

    Awesome Experience

by WAB13 on 5/29/14Circuit of The Americas - Austin

My family and I had a great time. We loved that a lot of the activities were included in the price of the ticket and the entertainment was great. All of the employees at COTA were very nice and I hope to come again next year.

Poorly handled by venue. No control of fans. They allowed anyone and everyone on to the floor irregardless of where your seats were located. Constant distraction from people being removed from the true ticket holders' seats.

    Demystifying RedFest

by RastaHorn on 5/29/14Circuit of The Americas - Austin

I have been listening to reggae music for over 30 years and rock before that. I never really went out of my way to buy country music or go to a country music concert. This was not your grandpa's music. RedFest and the music I listened to seemed to be a blend of Country / Blues / Rock and a little Soul. In short, RedFest and the music represented America, what we stand for and a collection of people who are passionate about their music...which exceeded my expectations. As a Rasta, all I can say is this Country music was awesome and I can't wait to come back. We made new friends and vowed to take the same spot on the grass next year at the Austin360 stage. Irie Country!!!

    Why did it end?!?!?!

by TheGirlInSequins on 5/29/14Circuit of The Americas - Austin

RedFest was AMAZING! The venue was a good size, so the villages were far enough apart to relieve congestion but close enough you weren't walking for miles. The sponsors had very entertaining activities (ie. zip lining, cattle roping, photo booths, go karts, human gyroscope, etc). There was a pleasant amount of free swag (YETI cooler hats were AWESOME! State Farm ponchos saved a lot of people from the rain). It was brilliant to make it Memorial Day weekend, so you had Monday to recover from the 3 day party. The GA lawn seating was chill and spacious. The Dance Hall was a nice idea, but the location made it less popular. Line dancing would have encouraged more participation. And the most important part of it all, the line up was freaking INSANE! I saw about 15 acts, making it $6/act. I can't even believe it! I went to the shows for: Tim McGraw, Florida Georgia Line, Kip Moore, Justin Moore, Parmalee, Colt Ford, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Big & Rich, Easton Corbin, Kellie Pickler, Love & Theft, Craig Morgan, Amber Carrington, Larry the Cable Guy, and Jeff Foxworthy. SO incredible! Jeff Foxworthy did an amazing job organizing this event. Austin was the perfect location, $100 for GA was the perfect price, and Memorial Day weekend was the prime date. This will be an annual event for me!

Great music, rough around the edges

by Colinb8 on 5/29/14Circuit of The Americas - Austin

The headliners for each night, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tim McGraw, and Florida Georgia Line, were fantastic. The supporting performers on the main stage were also very good (Craig Morgan, Justin Moore, Kip Moore, etc.). However, the layout of the festival was a little confusing, and the booths weren't that great. You could tell they put effort into organizing a "festival" around the concerts but they didn't quite hit the nail on the head as far as an overall experience. However, the music was a priority for me, and I got a military discount for food and beer, so the festival as a whole gets four stars.
