About Real Bodies
At the center of Real Bodies, the groundbreaking exhibit on view at Bally's Las Vegas, are these lyrics by Leonard Cohen: "You're locked in your body, it's a kind of trial. You can use it for a weapon, or to make someone smile."
Real Bodies presents 20 real, perfectly preserved human bodies and more than 200 anatomical specimens — the most startling and vivid depiction of human anatomy presently available to the public. The exhibit, which has been on display at Bally's since opening in 2016, allows visitors to explore a series of galleries full of displays of actual human bodies preserved via a process called "plastination," which replaces organic materials with plastic that prevents decay. It gives visitors an intimate look at the inner mechanics of the human body, revealing the astoundingly complex networks of flesh and blood that comprise our muscular, circulatory, nervous, and digestive systems. It's a science lesson that delves into the sort of in-depth detail typically available only to medical students, surgeons, and coroners.
More than that, Real Bodies is also a beautiful, emotional journey into what it means to be human, demonstrating not only the miraculous inner workings that we all share but also pointing toward the ultimate purpose of these fleshy forms of ours. The exhibit reveals the synergy between breathing, hunger, the rhythm of the heart, love, motion, thought, and medicine that makes each person unique, asking visitors to explore what makes them who they are — and what they choose to do with the body they've been given. System by system, the exhibition provides an approachable and fascinating journey into what's happening inside every one of us.
The Real bodies exhibit was very up-to-date including information about how covid-19 affects our body and the other information was fascinating! Everyone should see it esp smokers & obese folks.

My girlfriend is interested in biology. I generally learn about history and dark tourism. This exhibit fulfilled the requirements and had our undivided attention. It was longer than I'd expected and was well worth the money. If you're squeamish, perhaps you aren't a good match for this. It is uncensored. It can be terribly uncomfortable to comprehend that you are standing inches from the remains of a human that once loved, lost, and dreamed, and is now on display below a Las Vegas casino. The exhibit goes on to encourage us to even question our own mortality as well. It was an exciting and engaging experience that had us talking about it for days after our visit. There is an abundance of gimmick in Vegas, but I don't consider this to be one. If you're interested in biology, this is a must see. If you're interested in macabre subjects, you need to check this out. It was a great escape from the illusions occurring above our heads. It was a reality check.
This exhibit was so interesting. You get to see every organ, muscle group, skin layers, blood vessels, tendons...it was a great afternoon activity.
It was really nice to see real body parts & how we are made of. I will go back again when I visit Las Vegas again.
I have been to Body Worlds in nursing school, and this compares. It was amazing, all of it. My husband even enjoyed it!

My granddaughter and I visited Real Bodies at Bally's at her request for her 16th birthday. She plans to be a nurse and this experience reinforced her career choice.
