RAYE on Tour

Rising UK artist RAYE is not a polite pop star. If it happened, she'll write a song about it, and nothing's off limits. Her music is fun and dance-worthy, but cathartic in its subject matter. She deftly blends blues, R&B, trip-hop and pop sounds with lyrics written straight from the heart and experience.

RAYE has written songs for artists like Beyoncé, John Legend, Little Mix and David Guetta, but gained notoriety as a performer after being featured on several UK Top 20 hits, including "By Your Side" with Jonas Blue, "You Don't Know Me" with Jax Jones, "Secrets" by Regard, and "Bed" with Joel Corry and David Guetta. In 2017, "Decline," featuring Mr. Eazi, was her first UK Top 20 hit.

In 2019, she was honored with BMI's Impact Award for her creativity and impact on the music industry. In 2020 she released the EP Euphoric Sad Songs featuring the UK Top Ten single "Secrets."

On her debut album, My 21st Century Blues, RAYE offers brutal honesty on songs like "Ice Cream Man," which details a personal tale of sexual abuse. She also addresses an eating disorder in the song "Body Dysmorphia," and addiction in the song "Mary Jane." My 21st Century Blues garnered widespread critical acclaim, and peaked at No. 58 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

RAYE played her first major live shows in Europe and North America in 2022, and embarked on her first headlining tour in 2023. She has also opened for acts like Lewis Capaldi, Halsey, Khalid and Years & Years.

RAYE Live in Concert

Rachel Agatha Keen, known professionally as RAYE, was born on October 24, 1997. She was born and raised in the Tooting section of London before moving to Croydon. She started her music career young, guided by her father, who was the musical director at a church. She enrolled in the prestigious BRIT School in 2012, and while she dropped out after a few years, she continued to work on her music and released her debut EP Welcome to the Winter in 2014.

A standout from the EP titled "Hotbox" got attention, and a meeting was arranged with Polydor Records. RAYE parted ways with Polydor in 2021, citing frustrations with the label over their refusal to release her debut album. In 2023, the singer-songwriter made her U.S. network TV debut with a performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and began touring for the first time as a headlining act.

    An amazing show

by Mel on 10/10/23History - Toronto

Raye was great!!. Her story, her humble attitude and amazing voice. I’m so honoured to have been there. Her band looked and sounded great. They had wonderful stage presence. Raye managed to impress my kids with a bluest Jazz feeling to her pop hits which was just awesome. The venue was great as usual. It was a sold out show but still felt like we could enjoy it. The crowd was great. The vibe was great. My kids and I were blown away. Raye exceeded our expectations. Furthermore, her little sister opened for her. She was also incredibly talented. Cannot wait to see her again when she returns to Toronto!!

Her voice gives me goosebumps. She sounds exactly the same live as she does through my car speakers. She is engaging and puts on an amazing show.

We were on the upper level and the staff was very nice, we were on the upper level and were concerned about the big crowd and being crushed but we had a lot of room to dance. Lovely and Intimate

by Nate on 10/7/23Citizens House of Blues Boston - Boston

Raye is a class act. With every song, she gave the audience a little insight into how it came to fruition. Backed by a live band, Raye put on a show full of energy and emotion that radiated outward from the stage and through every level of the venue. I’m so excited to see what she does next.

    GO. SEE. THIS. LOVELY. PERFORMER.

by awhdpf on 10/5/239:30 CLUB - WASHINGTON

Not enough words can describe how enjoyable this experience was, like, at all. A scream would better encompass how so feel but I’m still recovering from that night. I had high expectations for the show RAYE puts on but she somehow exceeded them. She took such an intimate space and made it her own. The mic was on, the band was a show in itself. AH! It was just so great. I loved their chemistry and the crowd was amazing. I lost my voice from how invested I was in this show. Not many people are authentic in their work as they used to be and RAYE reminded me how much of that goes into art and as an artist myself, it really inspired me to just continue to be honest with myself and the right people will find me. The whole space itself was just filled with love. Having her younger sister open for her was also a lovley touch to it all. It just felt like… like becoming a part of a little family. I’m shy naturally but during the meet & greet I really needed that hug. It was warm and welcoming and much like the whole night, I just felt safe. Like I belonged and I have never felt so many profound emotions like that at a show like that but wow. What an experience. My friends and I cried during the emotional part of the set but the vibes never wavered. I think RAYE is truly ahead of herself when it comes to performing but her ethic is so admirable that I don’t worry it’ll plateau. I want her to succeed and I’m so proud to watch her do just that, like that night in D.C. If you can, please see her. Please support her. She’s so cool and I hope to see her again. I hope that expressed it well enough… And if she ever sees this: I’m proud of you RAYE.

by Kiara on 10/4/23Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Raye is super interactive with the crowd. You can truly notice her love for music and her fans. I took my girlfriend to see her in Philly for her birthday(Raye is her favorite artist) She sang happy birthday to her and made the night even more special. We’ll definitely see her in concert again. Thank you.

"The Most Talented Artist Since Amy Winehouse and Adele"

by Badguylos on 10/4/23Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia - Philadelphia

The title of this review was the title of a recent Telegraph article on RAYE and they were not kidding. RAYE is on a tier on her own. You listen to her most recent project expecting those modern popular music agreements at her live shows but instead she flips it on you and transports you to the 1940s, 1950s Jazz and Big Band era with her live agreements and interpretations of her own songs. The musicality I witnessed at the Philly show was something that left me shook! The way she leads her band was inspirational. She was not afraid to improvise and add vocal adlibs to what she was singing. May I add that she was bold enough to have a live brass section with her. Her theme for the night was honesty and honesty she delivered. She sings like she must have lived many lives, her past lives finding their moment in the present, she is their vessel, their microphone and the audience was listening, they were open to what she were saying and soaking it up like a sponge. RAYE should be very proud of herself, she should be told everyday that what she does on stage is unique to her and that it matters. Talent matters. RAYE matters. If you have never heard a RAYE song, I would still recommend you go see her live, she will leave you breathless. Her most well-known song is called "Escapism", i can assure you that the escape I felt at that show I will never forget.

    Amazing

by Daisy on 10/4/23Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia - Philadelphia

This woman has charm and talent in heaps. I cannot understand how she is still under the radar at least in the USA. Her stage presence, her honesty, and her ridiculously good voice mesmerized the audience. She was so natural communicating with the crowd. And the way she mixes all these styles, so impressive!!!
