Terrible sound system. Too much time between acts. Left well before it was over.
Concert was really really good until Freddy Jackson took the stage. All the other artist gave good performances, and the D.J. was on his game and very funny.
Fredie Jackson was real bad, never should have been on the show.People start leaving when he was on stage. The new lead for the stylics was real bad.He should try to sing the song the way they were put out The sound was not mixed very well This was a waste of money We should get half our money backt
Nice props to Enchantment, Lenny Williams, Gerald Aston of the Manhattans they still got it; the MC was funny! The guys in Heatwave worked hard, but didn’t have any original members, I believe the group had one of the Wilder Bros sons in the band, since the group founders are no longer touring or have passed; I’m not sure what’s going on with Fred Jackson — I pray for my brotha….
The concert was very superb the climate the atmosphere was wonderful the food was great everything that you had was good the lineup even Freddie Jackson The stylistics shut it down me and my company we really really love it you must do this again old school layout I loved it keep up the good work oh and purchase a sweatshirt
All the Stars was great Freddie Jackson was the only act that could have been better but overall good show
The sound was horrible. Most of the microphones was low and could not hear them well. I didnt enjoy most of the show only because of that issue. Some artist had to tell them "to turn mic up".
All of the performers were excellent except Freddy Jackson he was horrible. The Mc was good. I arrived at venue 6:40 with all the traffic trying to park it was 7:10 when I got inside
The acoustics were almost as terrible and Fredy Jackson’s performance. The food is way overpriced and there were only 3 line’s available for entry which was extremely slow. Overall, I was very disappointed 😢
The first group was ending by the time we found entrance. Left an hour before starting time. There were so many things going on in the area, so much traffic, no one to tell us which way or where to go. Long lines getting in for parking, long lines for getting in the building. Otherwise enjoyed the rest of the show.
This was our first event at this venue. I loved the setup. A big plus is that they started on time. Check in was a bit slow so we missed the some of the first act. All of the acts were fantastic EXCEPT for Freddie Jackson. I was truly sadden by his appearance and sound. He was awful and we along with most of the crowd left before he finished performing. I have never done that before. I will not go to another show with him on the ticket😥
It was difficult to tell if they were good or bad, given that the house band was louder than the performers.
The sound system was terrible. By the time Freddie Jackson came on I left because I couldn't deal with it anymore. I wish I could get at least part of my money back from Ticketmaster but of course that will never happen.
Everyone was excellent except Freddy Jackson he was horrible. Mc was very good
The show was awesome, but disappointed that gbe Spinners was a no show. Host was HILARIOUS!!
The sound was terrible. You could not hear clearly due y to I terrible acoustics. Everyone near me said the same thing. Light foot was off the chain. He was super great with his antics and old school music. All acts were good. Seven was too many for one show because neither had enough time to show out and off. Need to do a better job if checking purses. Lady next to me had a 6 pack and two sprites in her purse.
The show was amazing. Each artist put on a show within the show. It was non-stop, old-school flavor. Ms. Vanessa Jordan and the R&B Music Association does things in a first-class manner. I hope this becomes a yearly tradition.
I love these classic soul and R&B performances so much. These guys are true professionals. They are fabulous performers. They are showmen who dress the part of a performer. Every act gave 110% of themselves in the show. I loved it. I'm going to the Valentine Show in February.
I went for The Delfonics and The Intruders and they delivered. The rest of the groups unfortunately went from just OK to downright awful. Apparently the Moments did not rehearse with the band and it showed!!! Also, The host Mr. Curry needs to be a bit more engaging with a few anecdotes to fill time instead of just standing there and looking into the wings until the next group is ready to come on stage and say their name. Anybody can do that.
