First off, Birchmere is a classic... great ambiance, comfortable feel, not the sardine can venue... Raul Malo is a joy to see... engaging presence, personable, superb voice and talent... plus, he brought Dino, his son, as his drummer. Two hours solid performance, that went by in a flash, he's that entertaining. I'd do Birchmere again in a heartbeat, as well as Raul Malo.

Raul has such a beautiful voice. His ability to sing such variety is amazing. I love his interaction with the audience. He is both charming and funny. My daughter and I enjoyed ourselves. Service was great too. Can’t wait to see him next year❤️
Raul Malo never disappoints. He is charming, funny and oh the VOICE. I took a friend with me. It was her first Raul Malo show. Her comment at the end said it all - I could do this for another two hours!!
Great show one voice and one guitar and it was immersive. This was our second trip to the Canyon Club Santa Clarita in a few months. I must say the food improved.

just love going to see raul malo. such a beautiful voice and such a great guy. its not a mavericks concert, lots of slower ballads, just him and his acoustic guitar. a great way to see one of the best singers of the generation. and the canyon clubs are a great spot to see him or anybody else. great time.
When he first came on with just a guitar plugged in I was like oh ok, but the minute he opens his mouth he is the most amazing live singer on earth and the guitar playing was dynamic. Love The Mavericks and even alone he is amazing. Only thing was the Canyon Club was only about a little over half full and that is a shame, people are missing out on an amazing singer

No matter what the circumstance, Raul Malo is always a professional. His voice so so smooth and his song catalogue is varied. Looking forward to seeking him again very soon.
We are stlll trying to figure out how a single guy playing a six string guitar makes sound like 10 beautiful guitars are also playing. Raol is very funny and engaging. So humble; kind to the audience. His voice is a gift. We loved every second of this show. Very few people I would drive 4 hours to see. No wait a minute there are no others

I was not expecting the show to be Raul and his guitar, I figured he’d have a full band backing him, just as he’s had for all of his previous solo shows. I was blown away though. That voice and his charisma made for an incredible show. I’ve seen Raul solo 3 times and the Mavericks (the best live band on the planet!) 6 times- he (and they) do not ever disappoint. Fantastic performance! 👏🏼
Been following the Mavericks and Raul since '94 and always love the show but when Raul performs alone its just as awesome! A voice like butter, a fun sense of humor, and the Birchmere is the perfect place to see him alone or with the Mavericks. Come back soon Raul!!
