Comic Satire Gold at the end of the Rainbow

by KeithL on 2/26/24State Theatre - Minneapolis

Randy never fails. His satire got me through quarantine and the Orange Stain. although some of his material harkens back to the last election, it is still topical today. If Liberace and Alfred E Newman had had a love child, it would be Randy.

    Great great great

by Misha on 2/26/24State Theatre - Minneapolis

One of the best nights out in a long time. Enjoyed absolutely every minute of it. Wish merch was more available… apparently it was only available to VIPs or else I misunderstood… At any rate….IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE… don't miss this show!!

by Bobby on 2/20/24Orpheum Theater - Madison

Despite a few technical hiccups, that were beautifully handled by both the production crew, and Randy himself, the show was great!! He was hilarious, the venue gorgeous, all around great time!!

    Randy Always Rocks It!

by ProudLib on 2/9/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Randy Rainbow is the consummate showman. Wasn't sure what to expect - just a night of recreating his videos? - but it was perfect. New pieces, a nice review of his well-known parodies, and some great patter. Not to mention his fabulous outfits! So smart of him to have a live three-piece combo on stage with him to add to his energy. The sound at the Paramount was perfect, too - we heard every word crisply and cleanly. (That hasn't always been the case for other shows we've seen there. ) And to add to the delight of the evening, it was wonderful to see such a wide range of ages in the audience. Every generation represented. And often in sequins, boas, and pink eyeglasses. Randy Rainbow for President!

    He sang for 90 minutes!

by Yukonark on 2/9/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

I was both awed and pleasantly surprised by Randy Rainbow for President. The most impressive part - he sang for 90 minutes, with only short breaks for video clips and costume changes. Sound had some lapses in quality and clarity during the show, but overall, it was an impressive performance by all participants.

Randy Rainbow is a American Treasure!

by Jimmy’s Kimmy on 2/7/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

We saw Randy Rainbow for President, Saturday night at the Seattle Paramount Theater. He was great, and we were happy to see him again! I didn’t know that I liked show tunes until I watched his You Tube videos a few years ago. I think he’s kept many of us sane in the last 8 years! Go see him if you haven’t yet.

    Great Show

by TallPalm on 2/7/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

High energy, good music, PERFECT MESSAGE! The venue was packed, but not over crowded. Would have been helpful to broadcast his show on the big screen behind him with closed captions to help everyone hear and understand the entire show.

An absolutely great night with Randy Rainbow

    by Gemina13 on 2/7/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

The spousal unit and I are homebodies. We don't go out much at night; our idea of a good night is to cuddle and watch movies, comedy specials, or something fun on YouTube. And that's where Randy Rainbow comes in. Since 2017, we've been laughing ourselves sick at Randy's parodies, and enjoying every one. So when I saw Randy would be performing in Seattle on February 3rd - the day after my spouse's birthday - I bought tickets as a birthday present. And neither of us were disappointed. First, the Paramount Theater is a gorgeous jewelry box of a place. Although our seats were in the nosebleed section, we had a great view of both the stage and the gorgeous walls & ceiling. Second, Randy is a flawless performer. He connected with the audience from the first, bringing an energy and joie de vivre that had everybody hanging on his every word and movement. (He did not lip-sync his songs, either; there were two moments when he clearly had to take a breath!) And his audience cut a wide swatch across the generations. There were Boomers, Xers like us, Millennials and Zoomers, and not a disapproving scowl in the house. Some of Randy's jokes and language were definitely risque - and two of the people I saw laugh hardest were the elderly ladies sitting in front of us who were dressed up for the event. Using "Randy for President"as his theme, Randy ran through his greatest hits, with "Speaker of the House"getting the loudest laughs. Everyone was so familiar with the songs that I almost expected a sing-along to break out. Randy also gave a nod to his youth with "Pink Glasses,"a wonderful homage to his grandmother and her support of him in his adolescence. By the time the performance was done, we were still giggling over Randy's gibes and ripostes, and Randy himself was taking notes from the audience on the best gay bars in Seattle. (CC's, Unicorn, Diesel, and Neighbours were the names shouted by most). The spouse and I wished our seatmates a good evening and headed off for home and a late dinner. I certainly hope Randy had as good a night as we did.

    Randy Rainbow Rules!

by Adamo on 2/6/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

First off - if you love Randy Rainbow like I do, you’ll love this show! My only actual critique is that It’s hard for someone who gained fame from online videos, and whose body of work is out there already online, to have a show that doesn’t include lots of that material. Which is what happened. It was fun, but I knew many of the songs/videos already and the show was largely a sequence of videos projected on a large screen while Randy and a live band performed the songs live. All wrapped up as a presidential campaign. Not saying it was a bad show - I enjoyed it. But you should have an idea in advance of the format.

    Too loud

by Cy on 2/6/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Loved the show but honestly the sound system was way too loud. We were seated towards the back under the balcony and it was so loud it was sometimes hard to make out was was being said. BUT Randy Rainbow is amazing and I loved the show. I would certainly see him again

    Fabulous Show

by Philip on 2/6/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Randy Rainbow's show in Seattle was fantastic. The show was extremely well produced, the band was great, timing was super, but the most important was the quality of Randy's lyrics and the accuracy with which the lyrics exactly summarized those he was singing about. It is obvious that not only does he carefully study those whom he sings about, but he has a real gift in applying his superb talent to making his parodies funny and very accurate.

Randy Rainbow for President - he has my vote!

by Michael on 2/6/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

I really appreciate Randy's approach to political satire. What can't best be explained by a Broadway tune??? He's a wizard at pairing the perfect song lyrics with current moment. It was great to see him live. I only wish he'd allowed for a little more time to connect with the live audience in a more relaxed "I'm a real person, too,"way and not have to be performing non-stop every second. Nonetheless, we enjoyed every moment. Hoping more people get Randy's message before November. If you don't vote Rainbow, at least vote blue!

    Delighful!

by Lisa S on 2/6/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

My nine-year old daughter and I got through COVID homeschooling listening to Randy Rainbow. We had tickets one year ago to see him here in Seattle, but had to cancel at the last minute due to more COVID restrictions. It was a glorious evening we spent together last Saturday, wearing our matching pink glasses, listening to Randy belt.

    Randy hilarious, sound bad

by Dd on 2/6/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Randy needs to spend a bit more money on the sound engineering. The Paramount theater in Seattle has great acoustics. We could not understand him. Thankfully most of the show was captioned. But what wasn't captioned was unintelligible. He was hilarious tho.

    Randy Saved Me!

by Miss Mary on 2/6/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Randy Rainbow's amazing political parody saved me during Covid and the reign of D. Jessica. He continues to save me from the toxic craziness that is the 2024 election. What a clever, charismatic, talented, delightful artist. Can't wait until you come back to Seattle!

    Mehhh

by Kluc on 2/6/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

This was my second Randy rainbow show. I was disappointed that 3/4 of the material was repeat from my first show 2 1/2 years ago… Very little new material, very little current material. I also think his show relies way too much on video for content. I think he’s very clever, but I think I’ll just stick with his YouTube videos.

    Just like X

by Toast on 2/6/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

If you follow Randy on social media, then you've seen this show. The show is him on stagein different costunes, his band & a screen with all his fun videos playing in the background. Don't get me wrong, it was fun to watch & be in a room full of like-minded people, but it was no new material & I'd already seen all the videos on "X"& Insta.

It was good, but I wouldn’t do it again.

by Stellablue on 2/6/24Paramount Theatre - Seattle

Randi is amazing, wonderful, talented and charming. I found the show to just be repurposing his videos that he has put up on YouTube and Facebook, I didn’t feel like any of it was new. I’m really happy I went, but I would think twice about going again.
