  • Best 2 hour show ever.

My wife & I of 24 years really enjoyed our date night last Saturday. We have heard a lot of good things about the band Rain , but being there & seeing them was quite a great show. From the lights to the sound was unforgettable. And seeing them a the Oakdale was even better. That has to be one of the best places to see a concert. Seating was great. Thanks for making our date night so great. And YES we will be coming back for more events. Thanks for a great time. Joe & Darlene Shrewsbury

  • Rain entertains from 1st so g to end.

Very entertaining show from the opening set to the encore. Interaction with the audience and video footage of the Beatles was great and brought back memories. Only complaint is that they were set back on the stage and the use of the large screens they never show any close ups until very late in the program. Would have been nice to see the singers not just the customers

  • Always a tremendous show

I've seen RAIN now at least four times possibly more and it's always a suburb show. Every time they come to the Oakdale the show is a little different and I always notice some new and different things. The band is always engaging with the audience and keeps them on their feet clapping and moving and sometime singing along with them. I'm never disappointed and will be back for another show. Not having seen the Beatles perform live this is a close as you can get unless someone invents a "time machine". I had front row seat which were great but you should expect that you may be placed in front of one of the stage speakers which you will have to look around. OK if you are standing though. Possible the speakers should be under the stage. Perhaps the front rows could be elevated some or the stage lowered for full view of the performers. Was great being so close.

I saw the Beatles originally at Shea Stadium. This time I could actually hear them. They sounded great.

The show was great as always. The Venue was very accommodating with changing tickets to the earlier show due to an impending snow storm.

My teenage grand kids and I have been rocking with Rain for about 5 or 6 years. We absolutely LOVE this band. We had a great time at the Oakdale Theater. Wish they would book more shows in this area, we would be there!

  • Very cool!

Although Rain was spot on during many songs, While My Guitar Gently Weeps was a rendition that was a modern take off of the original, with some very spiffy guitar work by "George".

  • RAIN was a great way to celebrate The Beatles

by nolarobert on 2/13/14Saenger Theatre New Orleans - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

Going to see RAIN was a great way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Beatles coming to America. RAIN took us from those magical moments of The Beatles' Ed Sullivan Show appearance through the evolution to a more mature band in the Rubber Soul/Revolver period. They bring out the colorful Sgt. Pepper uniforms for the psychedelic period of the Fab Four and then don the look that would see The Beatles end with Abbey Road/Let It Be. The musical quality was excellent as the members of RAIN recreated the aural brilliance of The Beatles on stage.

A fantastic show on a very cold and snow filled night in Des Moines. I was13 years old when the Beatles "invaded" America. The show was a trip down memory lane for my wife and me. We lived through all those turbulent times and the Beatles music spoke to us and helped us through those crazy teenage and early 20's years.
