There aren't many singers who sound better than their CDs. But Rashaan is a true talent and sounds better in person than on his CDs. I was so excited to see him in a smaller venue & he didn't disappoint. It was definetly worth the wait.
Rahsaan voice was outstanding, however, it seemed the sound was muffled at times and he really lingered to long with the majority of his songs. The introduction of the band was extremely too long and he could have performed at least two (2) more songs with the time dedicated to introducing the ban. Overall the presentation and performance was FAIR. I have seen Rahsann numerous times and this performance was lack luster if best. Sorry, just my thoughts.
Mr. Patterson is a true talent, I have enjoyed his concerts over the years but this show was just amazing. His voice is true honesty. A few of my firends had never expirenced him in his true element LIVE. One waited in line after the show and asked him to release a live cd. I did not want the concert to end.
Rahsaan Patterson's entertaining style is different...he lengthens and stretches out each song. At the beginning of the show, the sound system was off, you could barely hear him, but they made adjustments and it ended up being very nice. He's a talented performer.
Rahsaard has an amazing voice that he able to do so many things with it takes a performer of some of great talent to hold an crowd capitave with just him his voice and his band which Mr. Patterson did!!
His vocals are hypnotizing. Love the range and passion behind the voice. Band and backup singers not on the same level. They seemed off key/beat. Did not do him justice. Would love to see him again!!!!
I enjoyed the event, just wished he had a longer set.
I have been waiting to see Rahsaan perform live for a number of years. I live in Boston and had to travel to New York in order to see him live. I have been trying to get some of the concert promoters in Boston to bring him in for years. I have all of his previous CDs and love everything he has done to date. Seeing him perform live was the icing on the cake so to speak. He lived up to all my expectations. Truly a great singer and performer. Can't wait for his new CD to drop.

Rahsaan sounded even better in person than he does on record. His voice is absolutely amazing. He had the crowd completely captivated. He sung a great mix of songs, including, "The Best", "It's Alright Now". He has the perfect blend of R&B and Soulful mix and I'll be attending any and all shows he has in the future.
great show even the act before him was great. Had a wonderful time.
Everything was fine until the restaurant started selling tickets for standing room only, which made me very uncomfortable. It went from a restaurant setting to a club setting in a few minutes. Imagine you are eating a nice dinner and then you have 20 people standing over your back talking.....You can't enjoy your meal. Then the waiters took so long to get to you, either they were understaffed and had too much responsibility, or they couldn't move thru the crowd. It was so packed in that place. But Rahsaan did a great job. However the girl that opened up for him was 3 songs too long. She could have shut it down after the second song. Next time (IF I COME BACK) I will only do VIP because , of the crowd behind me and over me.
We got there a little after 8:00 in the middle of Abby Dobson set. It was already standing room only. Rahsaan walked on stage around 9:00 PM. He delivered a wonderful performance start to finish. It was a pleasant treat to hear some of the favorites songs from RP, After Hours and Love in Stereo. My mom, sister and I really enjoy this performance and Rahsaan looked well. Of course, he didn't fail in performing "Love is stronger than Pride" as the finale. Whenever Rahsaan is in NYC or NJ, we will be there. Best of Luck with Bleuphoria!!!
Great vocal range. Very underrated singer. Glad i got to see him live.
Rahsaan Patterson was as he his always wont to be, simply spectacular. His range, stage presence and command of the audience kept the joint abuzz with excitement. On the few occasions when the audio sought to compromise his performance he deftly maneuvered himself around these imperfections and delivered yet another rousing performance. Am I a fan? It should be pretty obvious.
The show was great. This was the second time I saw him at BB kings. When is the next show? This man has so much range. I love his voice.
An amazingly gifted talent combined with a vocal performance that was simply brilliant! This Brotha has some serious pipes. The whole world should get a chance to hear him perform.
Rahsaan Patterson's performance was excellent. Specifically, Rahsaan's vocal range, pitch, and tone were outstanding. This was my fourth Rahsaan Patterson show and I would like to go on record saying his voice quality and vocal range is better than ever. Mr. Patterson is definitely in the 'older but better club'. I look forward to Mr. Patterson being recognized on a national-level like the Grammy's and/or Soul Train Music Awards Rahsaan definitely resides at the intersection of R&B, Jazz and Neo-Soul.
