Rating: 2 out of 5by Anonymous on 4/28/15Hershey Centre - Mississauga Rating: 5 out of 5 Rahat Concert
by JaneNYC on 7/1/13Nassau Coliseum - Long IslandBeyond amazing, wish the venue was more accessible. Long Island is not exactly cheap to get to by public transportation! These concerts should be held more often as they represent how great the talent s in India are.....for the ignaoramuses out there!
Rating: 2 out of 5 Very disappointing performance!
by lightsource on 6/17/13Nassau Coliseum - Long IslandThe show started 45 minutes late and then Rahat tried to make up for it by singing mini rock abd roll quawwalis in fast forward tempo which did not really lend itself to the mellow, mesmerizing and lilting treatment that was needed! It would have been better for him to sing fewer longer songs at a slower pace. The performace did not touch my heart and it did not uplift my soul! No repeat business for RFAK! His rendtions are far better on UTube!
Rating: 3 out of 5 Was toooooo short!
by Genie12 on 6/17/13Nassau Coliseum - Long IslandIt started out kinda boring and later picked up. Was a very short event. It started late and there was a quick wrap up. He did not even sing his other songs that did good. All in all, was an OK show.
Rating: 5 out of 5by NotEvenDasi on 6/17/13Nassau Coliseum - Long Island The best and the best. He is good and me and my wife had great time.

Rating: 3 out of 5 Its was below expectation
by Suchit on 6/17/13Nassau Coliseum - Long IslandMusic adjustments were not proper. Music was more loud than Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's singing. There were too much interruption from hosts for advertisements in second half. His son joined him for singing and I also did not like it. In short second half was not good and overall it was Ok.

Of course delays happen, but no one came on stage to announce what the hold up was until 8:30, that's shows POOR management!

by vManOfSF on 6/3/13Event Center at San Jose State University - San JoseShow was very good but it started TWO Hours late. It was supposed to start @ 7PM but didn't start untill 9:10PM. Apparently they had a show in Las Vegas on Friday, San Jose on Saturday night and Los Angeles on Sunday Night. Next time think twice before going to this show.
Rating: 5 out of 5 A must see concert!
by Afghan1 on 6/3/13Event Center at San Jose State University - San JoseHearing Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, sing live at a concert was just amazing!! He has a fantastic voice, great energy along with his fabulous musicians who performed beautifully. I would go to another event like this in a heart beat. The only downer for me was the fact that the concert was at 7:00 and we basically sat there till 9:00 waiting. So in the future I hope the organizers do a better job with their time management. Over all I was very pleased with how well this whole event was put together.
Rating: 1 out of 5 Rahat is a joke
by Loconto on 6/3/13Event Center at San Jose State University - San JoseThis was one of the worst concert experiences I have ever had, and I have been to hundreds of shows over the years. The show was supposed to begin at 7:00, and Rahat did not make his entrance until 9:30. Two emcees came out prior to the music's commencement, one and then the other, to deliver words from various sponsors. They kept delaying Rahat's entrance to the point that the crowd booed every time they started speaking again. Finally some musicians came out, but Rahat was not among them. They played three songs, each of which sounded like elevator muzak. After each song, one of the emcees came out again to delay Rahat's entrance and deliver more words from the sponsors. Then they showed a five minute video promotional commercial for Rahat! It was ridiculous: they showed him boarding jet crafts, walking through opulent hallways, and there was a montage of major world cities in which he had supposedly sold out shows. It was an ostentatious attempt to make him appear like a superstar; it had the opposite effect however, it made him seem quite sad and rather like a diva or prima donna (which, thanks to the 2.5 hour delay, we were beginning to suspect he was anyway). Finally he emerges, and the music he plays turns out to be crossover garbage. I am a lifelong fan of his uncle Nusrat, and of Qawwali music in general; this was not Qawwali. They had a drum kit player, they had a saxophonist, they had a keyboardist, they had a guitarist and an electric bassist. All of whom sounded competent at best, but they added nothing to the music. It came across as a poor attempt at westernization. At least what Zakir does with Bill Laswell and John McLaughlin is interesting and challenging and features uniformly excellent musicians. But worst, I had been under the impression I was going for a night of devotional traditionalist music, and what I found instead was banal, vapid, insipid, uninspiring, dull, lifeless, and grating. Also, it was deafeningly loud! I had to plug my ears the entire time. If I so much as left any aspect of my ear hole uncovered, it was immediately painful. I left four songs in. I wish I could get my money back from these jokers. I will never see Rahat again and I urge other people to boycott him.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Simply brilliant!!!
by Aryan5 on 6/3/13Event Center at San Jose State University - San JoseThe show started 2 hours later than the scheduled time but once RFAK arrived on stage, it was just non stop entertainment. I have always admired him and it was great seeing him in person. Absolutely amazing show and his talent is unmatched! Anyone who likes his music must go watch his live performance. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star rating is because of the initial delay. I wish they had opening performances for the time RFAK was not performing in the beginning.
Rating: 5 out of 5by Anonymous on 6/3/13Event Center at San Jose State University - San Jose Amazing singer... . Crowd was Mesmerized with his best live performance

Rating: 4 out of 5 Distractions during the concert
by Pimmoo on 5/20/13Ricoh Coliseum - TorontoPeople kept moving in and out for food during the show that was a big annoyance and distracting. Food should not have been allowed inside the coliseum . Sponser advertising was tacky and were annoying.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Great performance, OK event
by chags on 5/8/13Orpheum Theatre - PhoenixHere are the good points : 1) RFAK was phenomenal as always. He has an incredible vocal range and you have to hear it to believe it. There are probably very few individuals who are as talented as him or the Late Nusrat sahab. 2) The theater is very nice and has good acoustics. 3) The theater staff is incredibly patient and helpful especially given typical Indo-Pak tardiness. Here were the low lights : 1) The food sales was joke given the small space they had set up the stall and the sheer number of people trying to buy food. A lot of space was taken up by useless vendors selling some stuff. The food was not very good either. 2) The music was excessively loud compared to the vocals. Lower vocal notes were very hard to hear unless the orchestra was playing minimally or not at all . 3) The last time RFAK was here , the band was more suited to his style of singing. This time it seemed to contain more "remix" style playing ( lose the drums pls, they ARE TOO LOUD) and most songs were being sung at a much higher tempo than their original version. This absolutely ruined some of the best of RFAK's songs.
Rating: 4 out of 5by Anonymous on 5/7/13Orpheum Theatre - Phoenix The noise of musical instruments was too loud. We could not hear the wording of the songs. The food served is not of a good quality.
Rating: 3 out of 5by hnmmm on 5/6/13Masonic Temple - Detroit The event was good. However, the actual time of rahat performing was only 2 hours or little less.
