RAE SREMMURD IN CONCERT:

In just a few short years the brothers behind rap duo Rae Sremmurd have gone from living on the streets to rubbing shoulders with hip hop heavyweights like Nicki Minaj and Mike Will Made It. The debut single from Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy was called "No Flex Zone", though the swaggering siblings have every reason to strut their stuff -- their 2015 debut album SremmLife topped both the Rap and R&B charts, earning rave reviews and establishing them as a potent new force in hip hop. The pair's bounce-worthy live shows make good on all the hype, treating ticket buyers to amped-up performances of favorites like "No Type" and "Throw Sum Mo" that always get them moving and shaking.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Brothers Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy, aka Khalif and Aaquil Brown, were born and raised in Tupelo, MS. They started their posting music to sites like YouTube and Reverbnation in their late teens, and before long Southern rapper P-Nasty invited them to record with him in Atlanta. They headed to The ATL and laid down the songs "I Dip" and "We", but  really made their mark when they linked up with producer Mike Will Made It for their 2014 single "No Flex Zone". That track peaked at No. 8 on the Rap Chart, leading to an official remix by Nicki Minaj and Pusha T that helped the song hit Platinum status. The brothers' rise continued in 2015 with their debut album SremmLife, a critical masterstroke that topped both the Rap and R&B charts. An electric young act with big things on the horizon, Rae Sremmurd continue to prove their mettle every time they take the stage on tour.

Lots of people attended! DJ was on point, performers all showed, and it was an all around great time! Dej Loaf was awesome! K Camps show was pretty good. Yo Gotti was straight fire! And Rae Sremmurd did a long, action packed performance! If Sremmfest becomes an anual event, I will attend it next year!

    Not my favorite Concert.

by Anonymous on 8/14/15Mid-America Center - Council Bluffs

Worst Concert I have ever been to. I drove four hours from Davenport, Iowa to see Dej Loaf specifically. The concert started at 8pm but Dej Loaf didn't come on stage till about 10:30. The opening acts and music playing was tolerable the first 45 minutes but after that it was annoying. You can't expect a huge crowd to be happy when there is hundreds of other drunk bodies STANDING next to them all waiting for 2 1/2 hours. In my opinion most of the opening acts were not good at all. The music wasn't clear and it was hard to understand most of them. After Dej Loaf finally performed and left the stage they started playing music again. I was done with the concert at this point and left not seeing Rae Sremmurd.

    Rae sremmurd, dej loaf

by Ragetwin on 8/14/15Mid-America Center - Council Bluffs

This concert was probably one of the worst concerts I've been to. They had about 10 opening acts that were completely unknowns. it seemed like and by the time even dej loaf came out I was ready to go. Dej loaf sounded absolutely horrible and nothing like she does in songs. Then after waiting about 3 hours for Rae to come out they came out and played for maybe 20 minutes and most of the time they just danced to there own music and didn't actually sing and when they did they were bad. I would not go back.

    Rae was crazy!!

by JohnnyT22 on 8/13/15Mid-America Center - Council Bluffs

The concert was amazing it was put on really well except for how many opening acts there were. If I recall there were about 8 opening acts and all of them were terrible. They played other songs and when they did play there own songs they wouldn't even rap along with them just shout and scream while there music plays in the background. When dej loaf came on that's when it got hype she was really good and warmed up the crowd for Rae. The really bad thing about this is that Rae came on about 10:45-11 and only performed for an hour which was disappointing but the concert was still hype and glad I went!

Dej was supposed to open, but didn't play until 10:30. (concert started at 8:00) and no one around me knew anyone who opened before her. partners, it was a waste of time and my legs were aching so bad I couldn't bend my darn legs! I still love Dej to tell u the god written truth but darn it took forever for her to start!!!

    Amazing

by Shygal22 on 8/13/15Mid-America Center - Council Bluffs

For it to be my first concert. It was amazing they put on a awesome show!!! One thing that didn't really sit well with me is all the opening act(s) before they came out and me standing there for a long time. It was cool for the moment but I wouldn't have expected them to take that long to come on stage. Another is there was no seating. Just standing , pushing, and fighting. But I guess that's what people do when their trying to see such awesome people perform . everyone wants a spot in front row! Nothing wrong with that.lol but overall I really enjoyed it. I lied to my job just to come see them. dej loaf is such a beautiful person in person and the guys rae sremmurd are so handsome and " lit like bic" !!! It was an awesome experience I would do it all over again if they ever decide to come back. #sremmlife
