About

Alternative rockers Puddle of Mudd have earned an army of dedicated fans with a slew of No. 1 hits like "Blurry," "She Hates Me" and "Away from Me," Most fans who are lucky enough to get a ticket to a Puddle of Mudd concert find that the lead singer-guitarist, Wesley Scantlin, has a commanding stage presence and a powerful voice. Though the band has not released an album since 2011, Puddle of Mudd continues to tour, singing its most popular hits to die-hard, dedicated fans.

The band's roots are in Kansas City, Missouri, where they began playing together in 1991. However, their first studio album, Abrasive, was not released until 1997. This album was so limited in its release, though, that many of the songs were re-released on the next album, 2001's Come Clean. Popular singles from this album included "Control," "She Hates Me," "Blurry" and "Drift & Die," which helped Come Clean sell over five million copies and reach No. 9 on the Billboard 200 chart. Their next album was 2003's Life on Display, which reached No. 20 on the Billboard 200 and featured the hits "Away from Me," "Spin You Around" and "Heel Over Head." The 2006 follow-up, Famous, includes hit singles Psycho and the title track. In 2009, Puddle of Mudd released Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love and Hate, an album that featured songs "Stoned" and "Spaceship". In 2011, the band members released a cover album, Re:(disc)overed, and also announced that they were continuing to write more original songs to release in a future album.

Puddle of Mudd and Candlebox ROCKED the Ribfest!

    by Stephanie72 on 9/10/09Military Park - Indianapolis

I love the atmosphere at each Ribfest regardless of who's playing on the stage. It's a great event where all your friends can get together. The entertainment selections are always good! I highly recommend the VIP section to anyone! It's affordable and worth every penny.

    Great nite of music

by longtimeboxhead on 9/8/09Military Park - Indianapolis

Black Stone Cherry, who I hadnt heard before, we really good with lots of energy. Im not a huge southern rock fan,, but they got us hyped. Candlebox is a band I have seen more than 10 times and I have no idea why they decided cover songs were necessary, but they played 2. Kinda disappointed,,, was not their best set. I have seen P.O.M. 3 or 4 times, and as usual,, they were good - not great. They, like Candlebox played a few covers. Over-all if was a fun evening with some good performances.

    Awesome Show!

by CaliGirlinATX on 9/8/09The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Love the music, second time to see them and they were great as always! The Poolside venue was pretty cool, felt smaller and more intimate despite the size. Will be back to see them soon!!

B.S.T very awsome, Candle ok, Puddle very awsome

by martinfantbird on 9/8/09Military Park - Indianapolis

Good place to see a show if you could dodge all the frisbees being thrown from the crowd from behind.Next year i dont know if i will buy reserved tickets though the so-called private bathrooms were three outhouses.Anyone could get in for 5. Dollars. Yes there was a barricade between us and the rest of the crowd and we did recieve 10 dollars worth of food tickets i am not sure it was worth the extra 25 dollars.Food and beer was very expensive.Black Stone Cherry was awsome. Candlebox was ok. I was not a Mudd fan till after this show very impressed I think they are better live than their cd's.Next year will really have to think about saving 25 dollars and just sit in the grass like everyone else you will need the extra money if you are hungry or thirsty.

    Puddle of Mudd killed it!

    by Elementsk8er2408 on 9/7/09Military Park - Indianapolis

Puddle of Mudd put on a pretty good show. Security didn't have their act together, considering their wasn't much organization to the whole thing. The best part was afterwards when they signed autographs for anyone who wanted them. Way to win over your fans!

    Candlebox/Black Stone Cherry

by speeroxx on 9/7/09Military Park - Indianapolis

Black Stone Cherry's set was high energy and well received. BSC is an upcoming band based out of Southern Kentucky, and good thing lie ahead for them. Candlebox closed their summer tour 09 at the Indy Ribfest to an excited crowd of nearly 10,000 fans. Mixing the set with older cuts and new songs from their recent release, Candlebox tore up the stage for 1 1/2 hours straight.

    Puddle of Crud

by TC13 on 9/6/09The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

My husband and I traveled from Tucson, and my sister traveled from Phoenix, to attend this concert. All three of us were vastly disappointed in this show. In stark contrast to the last show we saw at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Puddle of Mud started the show late, with threatening skies out by the pool. Dodging drunk concertgoers, we waited, standing on concrete the whole time. When they finally came onstage and started the show, the patronizing comments by the lead singer seemed phony, and "MF" seemed to be the main word in his vocabulary. F-bombs dropped to try to get the crowd to cheer him on, it seemed, I guess because his talent was lacking when not in the recording studio, where he could erase and try over again. If there was one concert in our combined centennial of concerts, this is the one we would want our money refunded!

Puddle of Mudd ROCKS the Hard Rock

by nosenseyet on 9/5/09The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Nothing is more exciting than general admisson in front of the pool at the Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas. Ya just never know what's gonna happen! The band played all of their hits and a few new songs with amazing energy! The crowd sang half of the songs without any prompting and after 3 encores the band called it a night around 11pm.

    Left us hangin!

by drememastr on 8/19/09Club Fever - South Bend

The songs they played absolutely rocked! Unfortunately, they only played about half their known songs - what the heck? I felt like we were jipped because it was a small show in a small venue. I would've paid more to hear all their songs. No encore, short show. Yet, I paid full price. Ripped off...

    Puddle of Mudd RULES!

by leischen1 on 8/18/09Horny Toad - Lake Ozark

as always puddle of mudd put on a great performance. it was so nice to have them come out after the show to hang out with their fans and take photos and sign autographs. they are very gracious guys. the venue however sucked. security was overzealous at best. i witnessed a patron pay a barback $5 to get someone who was a bit intoxicated thrown out. the show was at a BAR...that should be expected and the staff should be more ethical than that.
